She's extremely nervous, I had lots of issues with her being to afraid to go the bathroom outside, even with me Matt has never had these issues, he knows exactly how to handle her, she always does all her business with him The service and Matt send these amazing emails with photos from the walk, a GPS of where they walked You also get these awesome break downs of whether you dog did #1 and / or #2, They refill her water, always make sure the door is locked They even clean up the dogs paws after every walk, which if I'm being honest, i definitely don't do that enough Even today. My pup can be fairly difficult to walk, and requires a lot of management because she's a resource guarder and leash reactive, so I was looking for a service with a consistent walker. After lots of research, I decided to go with NYC Pooch and I'm so glad I did. Alesya is Champion's walker and she's so great with her. She was very patient while Champion took the time she needed to trust her, and she just gets dog behavior. It's very clear she's a dog lover, and she sends great daily updates! We have been using NYC Pooch for the past six months since we got our rescue pup Barkley. We had a few different walkers in the beginning (including Cassie, who we loved) while NYC Pooch worked to find us a regular walker on our route. Eventually about a month in, we were placed with Dominick as our permanent walker. Our Barkley is a (lovable) handful - she has some resource guarding issues, requires a head halter collar, and absolutely hates going in her crate, which meant that we really needed a walker who would be very patient and calm with her. Dominick has been exactly that. He's been an extremely positive influence on her, has always answered all of my questions and responded to all my crazy dog mom concerns, and is extremely communicative if anything seems off with Barkley (and conversely, if she does anything particularly well, like being friendly to other dogs while on her walks). Also, he has a great phone camera so his pictures of Barkley with her pup-report are always top notch. :) NYC Pooch more generally has also been fantastic. Their customer service is excellent, so when I expressed concerns early on with the inconsistency in our walkers, they were extremely receptive and did their best to accommodate us despite it being the holiday season. Jenny and Brittany are the two members of the office team that I've interacted with the most, and they're extremely sweet, quick to respond, and have always been really flexible with my (hopefully reasonable) last minute cancellations. In addition to his genuine love and care for our dog Frank, he has been going above and beyond by actively working with Frank on his leash reactivity during his walks. When we first got Frank he could not be on the same block as another dog without lunging and barking. My experience has been incredible. Super friendly managers and staff. Always available for questions and you have contact with your walker and their manager directly through the app. All of the walkers are salaried and insured employees. They truly love dogs! Your walker sends full reports showing the mapped route taken and approximately 5 pictures of your pup each day showing her adventures from that day's walk. So far I have used Chelsie and John. I could not... believe...my eyes how she handled this dog. It was like watching "sign language " for a dog. She was totally tuned into him, messaging him constantly with her hands, and he responded immediately. The back and forth communication was something I have never seen before.
