A must if you are visiting NYC!! What an unbelievable experience. We travel to NYC often and wanted to try something different. We heard the boat tours were interesting and give you a different perspective of NYC. Since we are experienced boaters from Annapolis, we did not want to be herded onto a huge tourist boat/ferry with dozens of other people so I found NYCbySea. They offer much more personalized NY Harbour tours with detailed information about the various landmarks. You can book a private charter ( which is what we did) or a sightseeing tour where you may be paired with other tourists. We started off at North Cove Marina at Brookfield Place. Since we had a private charter, Captain Mike allowed us to bring a cooler of beverages and snacks. Captain Mike took us out to the Hudson and pointed out the major landmarks with detailed and fun facts about each. Freedom Tower, Battery Park, Ellis Island, Staten Island, and NJ waterfront. Then we swung around lower Manhattan to see the financial district buildings and Wall St. From there we could see Governors Island and looking north the 3 major bridges, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, and the Williamsburg Bridge. As we headed north we had amazing views of the NYC skyline to our left, including the Empire State Building and the UN. To our right was Brooklyn, Williamsburg and Queens waterfront. Then we finished off at the Statue of Liberty. During our 2 hour trip, Capt. Mike stopped and took pictures of us with the landmarks in the background. He couldn't have been more accommodating and fun. The boat was very clean and comfortable for our group of 4. I can't say enough about this experience and highly recommend it if you want to get out of the concrete jungle and see NY by water. Capt. Mike truly made this a memorable experience and worth every penny. We will definitely book him again!!! read more

Highly recommend this boat tour. Came from Texas for business and the crowded streets and subways were a bit much. Walked from WTC memorial to the riverfront only 5-10 minutes away for some fresh air and found Mike and his boat. My 5 colleagues and I were contemplating taking a ferry boat ride tour around the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn bridge. We had heard there were long lines and more crowds, so we asked Mike about his tour. We were delighted that we had the boat to ourselves and he had an opening later that afternoon. Mike was a true professional and very hospitable to our group. He was happy to share about the local history and was very attentive to the waves so no one would be caught unaware of the slightly windy conditions.
