I booked a 2 hour tour for my boyfriends birthday and had an absolutely amazing experience. Captain James (the owner) was SO incredibly easy to work with. I messaged 10 business owners on yelp at the same time during my initial search and James really stood out due to just being so helpful with every detail. We brought dinner and wine onto the boat and captain James even said I could come over early to decorate if I wanted to. I imagined eating dinner, playing nice music and sipping wine sailing along the Hudson but once we were out on the water, we forgot about everything and just enjoyed the beautiful views and a peacefulness that is hard to come by in NYC. There's a 4 hour option which sounded daunting for me (stuck on a boat for 4 hours??), but 2 turned out to be much too short because the time honestly flew by. What a nice break from the chaotic city. The boat can fit up to 6 so we will definitely be booking again with a larger group at some point soon. Btw, I'm a native New Yorker and Ive NEVER seen the Statue of Liberty so close. It was stunning. I couldn't stand to look away but lucky for us, captain James snapped a picture :-) Thanks for everything!

Wow! Recently did a 2 hour sail with Sail Sunset and it was definitely one of the coolest and most fun things I've done while living in NYC. The process of booking was super quick and easy. Captain James was very quick to respond and super friendly. Our captain for the sail was Captain Louis. He was awesome! We brought our own wine and a few snacks. It was a lovely evening. We all agreed we would do it again and we would probably do longer than 2 hours because we had so much fun! The whole experience was just amazing and I can't recommend it enough.

The boat itself is clean and has enough room to move around while you're riding out to where you'll see sea life. The crew has clearly been doing this for a very long time and is incredibly knowledgeable. We had perfect weather and saw many dolphins and even saw some whales! It's a group activity for the whole ship to keep an eye out for some movement but it's so exciting when you do spot a whale tail pop out of the water. The whales were very active and we saw a few different ones before the ship was starting to turn back to head toward Brooklyn. As we were heading home we saw a two whale breeches so the captain turned the ship back around so we could see as much as possible. I was able to ask whatever questions I had about the whales to the crew and they always had answers. You can bring food aboard, and I believe on the lower level there is a little concession stand (I sat up top and stayed up there the whole time). Highly recommend a jacket or sweater as once you're out on open water the breeze kicks in.

My wife and I did this just the other day and it was absolutely awesome. Truth be told, this was actually our second outing with APC as we had already had a fantastic time with them back in 2019 searching for sea mammals. Knowing my wife (girlfriend at that '19 time) loved it, I went to see if American PC was still a thing (especially after Covid times) and they most certainly are! Their boat launch location is different (now in Sheapshead Bay as opposed to Breezy Point), but it still is the same great cruise line. What makes it great? Well the boat is of reasonable size that could fit about 100 folks. It has inside and outside seating as well as a small snack bar with some simple foods to nosh on and an array of drinks (including beer and wine) to partake in. You can also bring on some basic food (we did bagels) to eat if you would like. I will say the bathrooms might leave something to be desired, but find me a small boat with a luxurious bathroom (you won't be able to). What's really most important here is the actual whale watching experience with American Princess and their crew. The APC website boasts some pretty regular whale (and dolphin) viewing and it shows as these guys know how to spot and track whales. What's nice to know is they do everything under a "Whale Sense" program that trains them to ensure all watching and following happens under proper distances and laws. Naturalist Celia explained all this and much more about whales themselves throughout our 3 hour and change trip. She was incredibly informative and pretty friendly from start to finish as she was helpful in pointing things out on the water. Other crew members (including the captain) did the same which helped in keeping us looking in the right direction. Directions like time were important (they used the "o'clock" method) because we definitely needed them to point us in the correct location. Starting early in our trip we began spotting whales. There were 3 humpbacks total that were spotted as well as a minke whale (which I had never heard of) and is apparently rarer to see. The trip was finished off with a pod of about thirty dolphins jumping and playing around our boat which was super cool. Overall, I highly recommend whale watching with American Princess Cruises. If you thought you needed to go out of Long Island in Montauk or this was some kind of Nordic European thing you could only do then you thought wrong! American Princess Cruises gives you everything you need to safely and enjoyably watch some sea mammal life right from an NYC Borough. Who knew? I did! And now you do too.

I researched carefully and decided to go with Prestige because so many of the positive reviews mentioned how great the food was since it is all prepared on board. The food and the crew absolutely lived up to the hype. Mark and David also made an excellent team. I was able to make all necessary decisions with just under a month to spare thanks to their efficient coordination. Given the current state of public health, I insisted that all of my guests be fully vaccinated and also test as close as possible to the day of the event. The one "loose end" that was making me nervous was whether or not the crew would be vaccinated or at least tested. I asked my guests to keep their masks handy just in case, but then found out once aboard that the entire crew not only had to be tested often, but were also fully vaccinated. That made me feel so much better, along with my guests. The food and presentation was fantastic, no delays of any kind. The crew was extremely professional and accommodating. The yacht was beautiful--clean, modern and well maintained. The one comment I've heard from all of my guests was that they felt as though they were in our home, having a nice intimate dinner, with a beautiful waterfront view thrown in. Extremely high praise! Great job, everyone.

The Yacht Juliette was perfect for our group. The food was outstanding. In addition, some 8-10 hours before the cruise the hot humidity and storm centers left the area- leaving the Manhattan, the Hudson and East Rivers and Bay in clear air with temperature in the low 70's. The evening could not have been better!!! All of our family- 20 people had an excellent and fun evening with many memories and beautiful sites. Congratulations to you, Mark and the entire crew. Well done!
