I received confirmation emails, booking numbers, check-in instructions, and multiple emails thanking me for my purchase. Like any reasonable customer, I believed I had a legitimate reservation. At no point during the booking process, in the confirmation emails, or on my reservation was I ever told that I was on a waiting list. In fact, everything I received indicated that my reservation was confirmed. Then, just FOUR DAYS before the event, I received an email informing me that there was no space unless I agreed to pay $1,200 PER PERSON. When I called customer service to understand what had happened, I was told that I had actually been on a waiting list all along. That was the first time I had ever heard those words. If customers are on a waiting list, they deserve to be told before they spend months planning flights, hotels, and an entire vacation--not after everything has already been booked. Think about that for a moment. A company advertises an event, accepts reservations, sends confirmation emails, provides booking numbers and check-in instructions, thanks customers for booking, and allows them to spend months planning their trip around what appears to be a confirmed reservation. Then, only days before the event, it announces that the reservation can only be honored if customers pay $1,200 per person. To me, this shifts 100% of the risk onto the customer while leaving the company with virtually none. The refund of my small deposit did not refund my flights, my hotel expenses, my vacation planning, my lost opportunities, or the trust I placed in this company. The strongest legal disclaimer in the world cannot manufacture trust once it has been broken. Fine print may protect a contract, but it can never repair a reputation. Businesses are remembered not for the loopholes they write, but for the promises they keep. A confirmed reservation should mean something. Customers should not spend months planning a trip only to face what feels like an ultimatum days before the event: pay an extraordinary amount of money or lose the experience they planned their vacation around. Whether this practice is ultimately permissible under the company's terms is for consumer protection authorities and the courts to decide. From a customer's perspective, however, it felt profoundly unfair and completely inconsistent with the trust people place in a confirmed booking. I will never trust this company again, and I strongly encourage anyone considering booking with them to think carefully before making travel plans around one of their "confirmed" reservations. Trust is earned over years and can be destroyed in a single email. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened here.

I would give zero stars if I could…read more I booked this boat tour based on the advertised departure time, and after I paid, they changed the departure time to two hours earlier. That is a major change, not a minor schedule adjustment. Because of the new time, I could no longer make the tour. Instead of taking responsibility and refunding me for a service they were no longer providing as purchased, they refused to give me my money back. I did not simply change my mind -- they changed the terms of the booking after the sale. Extremely disappointing customer service and a very unfair way to treat customers. I would not book with this company again, and I would strongly caution others before buying tickets unless you are comfortable with them changing the time and still keeping your money.

The boat was clean and comfortable, easily fit our group, and Captain Jack was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced (he holds a U.S. Coast Guard Masters License, so you're in good hands). The views along the Sound were gorgeous, especially as the sun started to set. He was flexible with our timing and made the whole experience feel personal rather than like a generic tour. Whether you're looking for a dinner trip, a sunset cruise, or just a relaxing afternoon on the water, I highly recommend reaching out. Will definitely be booking again for a future occasion.

He takes just as good of care with his boat as he does with his clients, and is super accommodating. *The boat was very clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. Had a microwave and stove! Lots of space on the table and seating around it. *Location of the boat was VERY CONVENIENT!! Had a parking lot with lots of space and the marina also had ice (great when you have a cooler/in need of ice for drinks). TIP: Captain Steve was really kind in offering to help us with our cooler, and offered to bring a cart/wagon to put the cooler on to make it easier to bring on the walk to where the boat is docked. *Captain Steve: Not only was he informative about the areas, but he was also a pleasure to have a conversation with. My friends and I had a fantastic experience and enjoyed our time sailing and relaxing , and will definitely sail with captain Steve again this summer!

NYCCycleBoats is located by the dock, just 12 minutes from the Grove St station on the PATH. It is quite innovative, as it also allows us to pedal to propel the boat. They make many trips throughout the day, some departing from Jersey City and others from Manhattan. I specifically chose the JC port because it takes you around the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island (two attractions I don't visit too often). Whereas the Hoboken one takes you along the city skyline which I always see lol I will say if you get seasick please be sure to take your dramamine ahead of the trip to ease your nerves because it does get a bit wavey on the boat. The boat is BYOB (beer, wines, ciders, seltzers) nothing harder than that or you won't be able to board the boat. You can also bring on easy cleanable snacks. First round drinks was reasonably priced think it was $27 this is not bad but they do offer an unlimited option for $50 this is a pretty good deal specially if u plan on having more than 2 drinks , we ended up getting this for the rest of the cruise. They serve food buffet style u can purchase for $10 not terrible if u are hungry one of the girls decided on getting some rice , chicken , ribs , plantains & potatoes not bad. The boat itself is ok they don't seem to put a lot of effort into making it look nicer it can probably benefit from some sprucing up maybe new paint , decorations etc. The real winner here is the lovely city views really can't go wrong specially on a nice summer day. Good music, drinks were good , food was ok prices & service at the bars were not bad this was a good deal to try a nice way to spend a few hours doing happy hour differently.

I heard about it from a…read morefriend who joined them for a sunset sail and thought it would be an awesome way to get my pals together for a unique NYC experience and fun way to chug a few beers and soak in the city. I was BLOWN away. The crew, especially first mate Jimmy, all the deck hands and captain were awesome. They had a NYC soundtrack ready to go, and since I reserved the whole space for buddies I was allowed to play my own music. They even kept my beers on ice on their cooler (but they had affordable beers / wine for purchase too) and were exceptionally friendly to all the guests. The boat holds about 30 people plus crew and for $60/70 pp it's a barging at twice the price. Highlights include: -educated exceptionally friendly crew that knows about boating and sailing around the world + history about NYC and the harbor -unreal views of the Statue of Liberty and coast -unique NYC activity for friends, great thing to take out of towners and way to show off the city -fun way to get liquored up..
