Upon arrival, my sister and I were impressed by how clean it was. The interior colors weren't dark but vibrant. The artwork on the wall wasn't intimidating, and the workers were present but definitely about their business. As we spoke to the front desk manager, she provided us with details about pricing, scheduling, and leaving a deposit. On the day of our appointment, we spoke with Tiffany about the design and she presented ideas of how to improve it. She was professional, courteous, and flexible. This being my first tattoo, she made me feel comfortable by describing what to expect, which helped to calm my nerves- her pink bedazzled tattoo gun helped as well. One thing I appreciated was the extent they took to sanitize the room after each person was done. All in all, Tiffany did an amazing job! She is a passionate artist who takes pride in her work. THEY WANTED $500 PER HAND!!!! Holy shit Davinci count your days because you will not be open much longer charging like this! Also for comparison I went to wyld child in merrick and they charged me $300 total instead of $1000!!! I should also point out that their shop minimum is $140 which I paid for three small numbers on my finger. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! Wish I could give it 0 stars.

vaughn needs to chill out and do some yoga…read more.. i had two tattoos and a piercing done here; eli, kate and ali... they are all absolutely LOVELY and i would have given this studio 5 stars if it hadn't been for today's completely terrible and disappointing experience. i had a 1pm apt with eli, we had been planning this artwork out for over a month and i know my design was tricky and complicated. eli did sooo so much to make sure i was completely satisfied, he was working on the drawing for over an hour and i really appreciated his attention to detail. i knew too that he would execute this amazingly and exactly as i had wanted it. so the design i wanted was the flower of life, but taking over my shoulder. the flower of life is sacred geometry; what this entire fabric of what we call reality is woven of. i see it all the time and it's literally everywhere. when it came to placing the stencil on my shoulder, i knew the design would not be perfect because of the limitations of this physical reality. i obviously understand that he didn't want the design to look bad, and appreciate it, but i literally saw the solution so clearly and also had so much confidence in eli and his artwork. vaughn started insulting the tattoos that i have, saying 'it's not my fault you have two fucked up tattoos' (they're not, btw) and then began literally YELLING at me. it was at this point that i couldn't proceed with eli and i's work, so asked him to wipe it off so i could leave. as a business owner, i would never speak to a customer that way, as you aren't a business without customers, lol. also, as a human, don't fucking yell at people, you have no idea what's going on in their lives. baaaaadddd vibessss. the way he acted was completely unprofessional, totally unnecessary and i will absolutely never step foot into the space again after being treated like complete garbage.

Wasn't able to go back to change out the bar bc I tested for Covid this am and had to remove it myself. Also, their sterilization pouches weren't appropriately sealed so while the clamps and hemostat hadn't been touched until opened, they weren't technically sterile. I had a vision of what I wanted done as a tribute to my sons and from my initial inquiry through the finishing touches they helped me bring it to life. Communication was spectacular every step of the way - I shared an overview of what I was looking for through those first texts which paved the way for a terrific consultation where Jesse took the time to go over everything, let me know what he needed from me, and provided some great resources for picking out the right font, even providing helpful pointers for what to look for in different fonts so that it would continue to look great for years to come. On arrival day of Jesse already had a mockup ready to go and was more than accommodating with some minor changes I wanted done. I can't say the process was painless for obvious reasons but it was as smooth as one could ever hope for. The work was clean, the price was extremely fair, and I left with a piece I'm super happy with that has already received a bunch of compliments even though it's still in the healing phase. South Shore has my highest recommendation and has definitely won a repeat customer with me. Can't wait to do it again.

Rob couldn't have been more different than the other guy I saw at the bad tattoo parlor. He was kind and patient. He made me feel very comfortable after my previous terrible experience. He himself was upset at the bad work and scar the original "artist" left me with. He worked wonders on that mess the other dude left me with and I'm very happy with the result. His line work has been so crisp especially on smaller detailed things. He always made time to squeeze me in when he could and it was MUCH appreciated. I also got an elbow piece done by Jade I do agree with some of the previous reviews shes not the best with time management and how long you're waiting. Ive been there multiple occasions where she never came in for appointments or was hours late. But besides that she killed my elbow piece I let her do her idea of what would look better rather than my idea of solid color she shaded it and used white ink that I'm always ask if it's real because of how great it came out. She did such good small line work and being on my elbow is great. If you're looking for a comfortable atmosphere I recommend them, they've made my tattoo experiences great.

The lineart is shaky and extremely inconsistent. The heart is uncentered as well, though the '02 stayed well. The small bit of blackout is horrendous, and I will have to have it touched up by another artist or even covered. Healing process was thankfully not hindered by any infection or complications and equipment seemed clean at least and new for every person. Super dissatisfied, disappointed and the vibe was uncomfortable. I guess cheaper prices usually mean cheaper skills. Such a shame, was really looking forward to using a more local artist.
