I went to leave a review and ironically forgot I had left a review a little over a year ago and my 2.0 experience was very similar to the first. The only change I would say is the ultrasound tech had rather cold bedside manners. She could have made the experience more pleasant by at least acknowledging what organ she is currently scanning, etc. Also, her directions on when to hold my breath and breathe normally weren't very clear and she was obviously getting annoyed. Bedside manners could use some work. I've had better experiences getting mammogram. I dropped my review down to 2 stars with this visit. Took my friend so he can have diagnosis test For an up coming surgical procedure, clearance Prompt service with a doctor's script for X-ray of the chest for my friend. However the personal in the office were talking among themselves very loud which was annoying. We did not need to hear what they had for lunch etc The place was clean free of any foul smells or clutter. The wardroom seats were comfortable as well. read more

MRI needed to be done I called Premier Imaging and they were able to accommodate me immediately. They have state of the Art equipment. I know because I am a healthcare professional and bought capital equipment for many years. The staff was proficient and professional. I will go back for all and every imaging need. The waiting area was clean and comfortable along w/ changing area which you created your own digital code to secure your belongings I was impressed with the entire operation. The two individuals who did my MRI today (10.27.2021), can't recall their names, but I believe one is a nurse and the other a technician. Anyway, they both were super helpful, friendly, professional and kind. Getting a brain scan MRI is truly nerve wrecking, but these two made the experience tolerable. I had the first appointment (7am) and they told me to come a half hour early. I got there at 6:20 and waited 45 minutes (during which two other people showed up having been told the same thing). The front desk girl finally rolls in 5-10 minutes after 7 - no apology or acknowledgement that she kept us waiting. When I mentioned it to the technician, she said they don't open before 7 and people with early appointments should not have been told to come early. Good to know now. Other than that, I was in & out quickly, and my doctor got the results in a timely fashion. read more

A new patient I was referred to Premier Imaging by my primary care doctor to schedule a test. I could not. I was placed on hold for 10 minutes, my cell phone tells me, before hanging up and calling again. I was again placed on hold and again hung up after 10 minutes. All this on a mid-afternoon Tuesday. We went twice with a one year old baby. I called them beforehand asking if I needed an appointment they told me to walk in and I said will be there in 30 min. I was there in exactly 30 min. The front desk registers us and after 40 minutes of wait tells us: "we only have one tech and he is very busy with another patient might take hours before he is done, it's better to come tomorrow it will be faster". I was annoyed as hell but we left as it was already 7 pm. We brought the baby back in for an XR- of the hip and these time we waited 3 hours! Imagine waiting three hours with a one year old. Came for chest X-ray, was told it's a walk-in. Arrived at 10:30 am and waited in the freezing cold for 30 min until someone finally got us in. After all the paperwork I waited over an hour to hear one of the staff announce that the X-ray machine in "Not working". While arranging for refund another announcement came, it's working but "unusually slow". So after 2 hours I finally got in and it took exactly 3 minutes to complete the imaging. The technician was rude, barking orders at me thru her mask and seemed very impatient and rushed. All and all this place is unfriendly and lacks care and consideration for people who come to get service there. Is it really so hard to be pleasant? After all most people who walk in the door are not well, so how hard is it to be friendly? It's part of your JOB!!!! Shame on you. read more

I've had a lot of procedures done here and they used to be great. "USED TO" being the key words, as I will be avoiding this place from here on out, and am more than a bit suspicious of some of their practices. Went in for tests three weeks ago. The technician was not only extremely rude, but also DID THE WRONG TEST. After waiting extra long for the results, I received several worried calls from my various doctors, all freaking out about getting the wrong results. When I called NYU back to ask about this they repeatedly accused me of giving them the wrong authorization number and also repeated the "right" number over and over again - the fact that this number and the number I initially gave them were identical did not seem to register with them at all. I finally gave up on dealing with them and called one of my doctors who called them and straightened things out. On the day of the redo, I showed up, gave them the "right" authorization number (again), and was told that they had no records of this authorization number, and no info on what tests I was supposed to be getting. After yelling at me some more, they finally called one of my doctors offices to get the info. I was supposed to only be getting an MRI, but was instead given multiple tests. Not sure exactly what these tests were, why they did additional ones, or what the results were - most of the staff I spoke to refused to answer questions, and my doctors and I have still not received the results. Visited with one of my doctors today and he couldn't even find records of the procedures on the NYU servers. My general impression is that they messed up the first time, tried covering it up, and then managed to make a mess of the cover up as well - all while refusing to take accountability or treat me with the smallest grain of respect. Not sure if they're also trying to overbill my insurance or not, but am looking into it. I used to have a lot of faith in this place, but after these last two visits I don't ever want to return, and may even pursue taking actions against them. I created this yelp account because I wanted to write silly reviews, poke fun at overly uppity yelpers, and maybe make a few Finding Forrester references every now and again... Congrats, NYU Premier Imaging, you've #&@%ed up and angered me enough to make me break character. BE WARY OF THIS PLACE. read more

My brother needed a CT scan, but walked out when - during a pandemic - he saw that the waiting room was crowded; patients were removing tape from chairs and moving them around so they could sit together, and staff members had face masks hanging from one ear. He did not feel safe at all and felt that a hospital facility should be following strict health protocols; they did not. read more

If you HAVE to have some imaging done, this is the place to go. The staff is quite efficient, friendly, and the best thing of all: they take you on time! I had a MRI done after an injury and they were very kind. From providing a blanket when I was cold to piping my favorite music to headphones (who wants to hear the boing boing boing for half an hour right), they were quite helpful. I also asked how long they keep the MRI's on file in case I need it burned to a DVD and the answer was "forever." Someone must have quite a few terabytes of space! They also get the results rather quickly to your doctor (less than 24 hours). Their waiting room is large and has a few TVs. So, why 4 out of 5 stars? They said they would pipe the music, but yeah, they didn't. I just heard a muted boing boing with headphones on. What were my choices? Aborting the exam to go ask them to put on the music? read more

I only use this place when I need imaging done. The receptionist are friendly, and helpful. I misplaced my script, they called my doctor and was able to get a new one. The technicians are very nice. They alwaupys greet you with a smile. The room for the MRI is so pretty. They give you headphones and ask what kind of music you want to listen to. read more

Don`t go there!!! At least don`t go to the Radiology centers!!! They made the same service claim twice to my insurance for the same day and for the same service and added to both bills a "tray with surgical supplies" that we have to pay 275$ for (because insurances don`t cover it) - surgical supplies that were never used during my husbands simple imaging service!!! He never had a surgery, he had a simple imaging service where they use only the X-Ray machine, the only thing they gave him was a paper gown and come on...charge us 275$ twice for that paper gown or what??? And when I called their billing department the lady didn`t even have any idea what are those surgical supplies in our bill! Now I have to call them about the second bill that they claimed in the same day even if my husband received the service only once. Helpful staff, short wait time, large waiting room. Went for MRI, and they provided headphones and choice of music. Explained the procedure, how long it would take and what the experience would be, such as lots of noise. Very comfortable. One downside, it was a bit of a hike from the R line. read more

Was here for a test the other day. 5-stars for the promptness of the staff, and 2-stars for possible error w/scan (but they will get back to me so I am hopeful I don't need to return) as well as 2-stars for the facility as I thought they would have been better prepared with Covid-19 precautions. Met at door by a masked employee and had temperature taken and questions asked. So far so good. Checked in and the staffer who checked me in was wearing her mask but the other staff in their plexiglass walled off cubicle either had no masks on or the masks sitting on their chins. Given a pen and paperwork to fill out. I couldn't tell if the pen was disinfected. No hand sanitizer in waiting room nor sanitizing wipes that I could see. Good thing I had sanitizer in by handbag. I had to drink liquid to prepare for my test. Given plastic cup by someone without a glove. Needed to fill up using shared water cooler. Again no visible sanitizer that I could use. Taken back for test. Staff who took me there wore masks however the staffer sitting at her desk next to the changing room had the mask sitting on her chin. To exit the inner sanctum of th facility I had to open a door - again no hand sanitizer that I could see in the waiting area. Again, really nice staff. Very Prompt. I was In and Out very quickly BUT this facility needs to work on putting clients at ease by improving the facility's Covid-19 pretections. read more

The only thing awful about this place is the wait time! I must have waited for at least an hour to an hour and a half. The parking is almost impossible to find unless you find a spot up the block on a meter which only has a 1 hour time limit. If you're willing to run back and forth as I did- if so, drive there- if not, find another way of transport. The diagnosis is not that thorough - I'm sure other places might be more detailed. But the staff is friendly and the examination was quick as well. read more

This review does not address the quality of radiological services offered, only the horrible customer service, which is particularly shameful for a business should do its best to make the lives of sick people easier. I'm not even complaining about wait times, because the time other people's clinical services take may vary, and I want the provider to be thorough with me. However, demanding that I appear "fifteen minutes early", although I've been to the facility before (so paperwork should be minimal), and then, on the phone confirmation the night before, "thirty minutes early", is not respectful of a patient's time. Nor is the droning of a television in the waiting room. When I arrived today, after having made a telephone appointment and *confirmed the address with the person with whom I made the appointment*, the receptionist advised me that my appointment was at their other facility. At no point would she acknowledge that someone on their end was at fault, and, only when I pointed out that this was her problem, not mine, she indicated she'd ask the technician if she could fit me in. Apparently she got that approval but never informed me until I asked, and I was eventually taken about an hour late. Meanwhile, I had to go to the toilet. She pointed out where the toilet is, but then when I quickly returned, reporting that, "It's not usable--you need a plumber!" [there's no need for me to point out the disgusting condition the toilet was in], she failed to advise me that there was a second toilet I could have used until I asked, about thirty minutes later, if the toilet had been fixed. The technician herself was professional, even asking if I was cold, but reported she has no authority over the clerical staff. My primary care physician does have discretion in referring patients to radiology practices, and I'm going to ask her to send me elsewhere next time. read more

Quick, the staff was attentive and courteous. The doctor gave me a choice of music to listen to while I was having my MRI taken. I had an appointment for 8:00 am and was in the machine by 8:05. I also had my images sent to a different doctor than I originally had planned and they sent the images over quickly. Also, I needed to have my insurance claim adjusted and they called me as soon as possible to have everything handled. All in all, great experience would definitely come back. read more

I was the first patient in on a rainy morning the day before thanksgiving so I had to wait a little bit for the technician to arrive but as soon as he did we got right into it. They were courteous and quick. Offered to play music while I was in the MRI (which was very nice) and overall did a fine job. DOUBLE BILLING EXPERTS I did several tests at this facility, the technician was always very good, some of the secretaries are VERY ANGRY/MAD, specially Sheila who I spoke with her on July 7 2016 at 6:51pm and it was not a pleasant conversation because he barely hear my issue and made up or "confused information", I had this test done through a Workers Comp case, the test was approved, NYU premier and my Drs were on the same page, at first they were not going to get paid but later the payment was approved. Today I get a letter from my personal insurance, I NEVER PROVIDE THEM WITH THAT INFORMATION they illegally took this information using my Social Security, they try to charge my insurance for the test, when back in March the payment was approved to them. I try speaking with Sheila who instead of cooperate, she was upset and angry, she lied to me saying that I gave my insurance info on a pre-test back in 2013, and when I told her she was lying because It was impossible for me to provide them with that insurance info because I STARTED HAVING INSURANCE IN 2015. Worst of all is the mistreatment by the secretary, Sheila who said to be the "Manager" and represents NYU, why if they committed a fraud I have to be mistreated?, why now instead of being at peace I and many people with similar cases like mine, has to go through all this troubles, AND THEY ALREADY GOT PAID BACK IN MARCH. The secretaries at this location are very lazy, they never contacted my doctors, I was the one and my Drs office who had to do all the work that they declined to do, I was doing my tests here because the Tech's who work here are very good, but the secretarial staff is pretty lazy and lousy and if you ask too many questions THEY GET UPSET. Several times I asked them before doing my test if I will be billed and several times they responded I was not because everything was approved, THE PAYMENT WAS APPROVED and now they try to charge my insurance who already approved them $195.06 on top of the almost $1000 that they already got from my WC insurance. WHAT A SHAME!!!!! I'd hope many people read this so they do not have to have the same hassles I am having and I'd hope this secretaries are removed from their position since they can not treat patients with the respect that patients deserve since they treat them as criminals and not patients. read more

Oe of the worst medical facilities in Brooklyn, maybe New York. They care NOT for their clients and make them sit for HOURS for tests and results-with no apology from Anyone. The tv is all the secretaries care about. My husband's doctor waited forever for his test results (he had pneumonia, for heaven's sake!) that came so late he had left the hospital. My husband told them he felt awful but they did NOTHING to comfort him, or speed the tests up. Just kept watching that old tv. On the way home, not even two blocks, I had to pull over so he could vomit. We were in the Mt. Sinai emergency room that very night. Great service there, NYU. read more

Update: When I called the next day to verify if the films had been sent as promised (this is on the second request), I was told that they weren't but would be sent out that day. Next day I called to verify that they had been sent, and I was told they weren't able to send them yesterday, but did send them earlier that morning. Next day I call to find out that statement was a lie. They were only sent the following day. Now I look like an idiot in front of my doctor for re-scheduling my appointment with him multiple times. read more

To start off, I walked in with my 76 year old mother who was scheduled for an mri at 9:30am, the receptionist, a young Hispanic girl didn't seem to happy to be there. I asked if the technician was running on time because my mom had an appointment to her neurologist at 10:15am and she said yes, we had arrived at 9:05am because I knew we needed to fill out paper work. Everyone else was being called in except my mom, I approached the receptionist and I asked her about our appointment time and she said the office had confirmed, I asked the contact number and they had the wrong number. I don't know how I'm told our appointment was confirmed, when 4 days prior the office called us to confirm for a 9:30am. Receptionist didn't have any sense of urgency s she ate through her breakfast. My mom was called in at 10:10am. So we're late to her next appointment at 10:15am. Not happy at all with this service, after this appointment, I will never recommend or come back here again. read more

I do not recommend this branch for imaging for two key reasons. Firstly, the technician did not seem to care to properly align my body in the Xray machine. I certainly do not want to have to get more Xrays than I need, so it is imperative to do this correctly the first time. Secondly, they do not release the images readily to the doctor, nor to the patient. Additional charges apply. This is absurd in the present electronic era and further disempowers the patient by denying access to medical records. Third, the staff was not helpful and did not hesitate to interrupt every single sentence I tried to express. Frustrating experience all around. read more

I went to a NYU network doctor to treat my shoulder and he ordered an MRI with contrast. He also recommend that I use an NYU imaging site because they can send the orders through their computer system. I called Premier Imagining and scheduled an appointment in two weeks at 10:00 AM. They were able to pull up my order through the NYU computer system and said they had everything they needed. They proceeded to obtain authorization from my insurance and gave me a reminder call about my appointment a couple of days before. On the day of the appointment, I am getting off the subway 45 minutes early, when I receive a voicemail from Premier Imagining canceling my appointment. The message said that the type of scan I needed could not perform at this location. At this point, I am absolutely livid. I decided against going into the office because I would have completely blown up on the staff. I called back and told the scheduler that this was incredibly unprofessional because of the time I lost having to turn down contract work to show up for this appointment. I received a rather lame apology and was told I needed to call one of the NYU locations in Manhattan that could perform the test. I can understand if the machine broke or the technicians who perform the scan called in sick. But this is absolutely ridiculous. Over the course of two weeks, no one saw the test being ordered could not be performed at this site? Either the staff here is incompetent or they just don't care about their patients.
