The Russian woman with short hair who does the scanning is very aggressive and will treat you like you're in prison. I said hi how are you while I was holding my paper in my hand, she immediately grabbed the paper out of my hand in a very aggressive way without giving me the chance to hand it to her. This startled me, I did not appreciate this type of aggressive and dismissive behavior before or during a medical examination. She has been working there for years and anytime I need to go back to this location I have a mini panic attack because I don't want to come in contact with her again. read more

The entire Lenox Hill Radiology system has failed me several times. Recently this particular location cancelled my breast biopsy 8:30pm the night before. I was shattered. Inconsolable. Different locations had canceled my mammogram 3 times in 2024 so I never got a 2024 mammogram. I finally received a mammogram in the spring of 2025 because the location on Bay Parkway happened to be in the same building with my Physical therapy and I was told I needed a biopsy in the most suspicious scary way possible. They (Bay Parkway location) were the first to cancel day of my mammogram once I arrived. Once they said I needed a biopsy the Smith Street location canceled in May that night before and literally never called me back til August about it. They were fine with me being scare of cancer for 3 months. The night they canceled my biopsy I contacted Sloan Kettering to book it and I indeed had Cancer. Lenox Hill literally contacted me the week of my lumpectomy. I will NEVER utilize any of their services for any reason EVER. I'm completely disgusted with their treatment. And Lenox Hill Radiology did a similar thing in the summer of 2019 with unexplained cancellations leaving me worried for months. Get your mammograms at your local hospital. read more

Over the course of numerous years I've tried several LH locations in Brooklyn and Manhattan, including this one. I have had a similar experience at all of them. They consistently cancel appointments made months in advance due to staffing issues. They bill for things covered by inurance and refuse to communicate directly with insurance providers to resolve the issue. They lose referrals that are provided upon booking and then will not move forward with your appointment without thyem. If they try contacting the referring doctor for a replacement and don't get an immediate response they will give your time slot to a walk in and tell you to re-book a different date - even though they lost the info and have already cancelled on you numerous times. The actual medical staff may be good but actually getting to them is nearly impossible. Find another option. read more

9/18/2025 at around 2pm. My Mother had an appointment and my brother had a family emergency. Really needing to get in contact with our mother, he couldn't for some reason so he contacted me to see what was going on. Due to the fact he couldn't get in contact with her it caused him to have a panic attack (our mother ALWAYS ANSWERS THE PHONE) I called her twice (7 times in total) before I realized someone was sending her phone calls to voicemail. Turns out a woman employee at this location was shutting down all of her phone calls! Which I have a STRONG FEELING EMPLOYEES SHOULD NOT BE DOING ! So I called this location to speak with a supervisor or manager to get more information about the policy and also just inform them on what's going on. The young lady I spoke with ( possibly the receptionist) had me on hold for about 7 to 10 minutes popping in and out to get information so she can speak with the supervisor. She then tells me the supervisor is refusing to talk to me unless I give the receptionist all my mothers information. Which again this doesn't seem like the proper way to handle things. Plus I never have to give information to get information anywhere !! Anyways, Even though I stated I wanted to talk to someone in charge to ensure I'm getting the correct information and I don't feel comfortable giving it to her but I'll give the information to the person in charge, they still denied me access for that information. This is THE worst center I have visited. Front desk is full of attitude acting like they are doing you a favor by checking you in. And then you wait and wait and wait. Nothing is signed properly upstairs . Everyone has no idea where to go or sit. XRAY? MRI? No one supports or cares about patients -- or manages expectations. I waited over 2 hours for my MRI. I gave the star to two wonderful employees - Tonya at the front desk and Priscilla my technician . But management needs to train front desk in customer service abd track how long people wait to be seen. No one has this kind of time to wait around. read more

Last week I went for a mammogram and ultrasound. I waited 45 min to be seen for the mammogram. I found out during the mammogram that someone took the liberty of just canceling my ultrasound appointment, so I need to retun another time for that. I was there today for a DEXA scan. I waited an hour. Asked how much longer the wait was going to be and they said the lab tech only just arrived. There were three women ahead of me who had been waiting more than two hours for their appointments. I left as I needed to go to work. This place has no organization and the people who work there are not helpful and no one seems to know anything. This comes from the top and is clearly a systemic issue - definitely will be moving to a different radiology center. Save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere. read more

I visited this office of Lenox Hill Radiology recently for an ultrasound, and although most of the staff I encountered were friendly, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. When I set up the appointment, I was told it would take 30-40 minutes, so allotting an hour for everything should be fine. My appointment was 11:30, they asked for a check-in time of 11:10, and I was done with check-in and payment by 11:18. I didn't expect to be called before my actual appointment time, but I also didn't expect to wait until 12:19 to be brought into a room. I don't know if the day I went was just busier than normal, but it just felt like, at least in the women's imaging room, the entire process seemed poorly designed. You enter a separate waiting room, which is behind a closed door, and then you just sit until someone comes to get you. There is no one around to ask about your place in line (unless you get lucky enough to catch one of the busy technicians when they have a free moment), or how much longer it'll be once you're well beyond your appointment time. It was just a silent room filled with a lot of people waiting a very long time. I had other obligations in the afternoon, and I had to leave the imaging waiting room to go to reception to find out how much longer it would be, so I could determine whether or not to just leave without the scan since I couldn't wait for another hour. I've never been to a radiology center where you have to physically leave the area to go to a place where you can't hear your name called just to get assistance from someone. The person who did the ultrasound itself was really nice and accommodating, and there were zero issues there. I just wish the waiting experience and communication would have been better, because it was a real turnoff for this office. read more

Some much about this experience was left to be desired . I will say I couldn't hear my name being called so I missed the first time it was called . I would actually train staff better to use a Presentation voice so that they can be heard through the masks . ( Especially for some who are hard of hearing ) . The staff is pleasant , they even have the staff that used to be at 161 Atlantic Ave ( Brooklyn Heights Imaging has moved and is now part of Lenox Hill and luckily one young lady remembered me for the other location ) . I'm here for my yearly Mammogram but like someone else reviewed and pointed out this entire experience was not designed well . You're sent upstairs told to wait in the waiting area . I asked the receptionist (on the second floor because there is a waiting area there) where to go and she sent me through another set of doors to sit there where no one came out for about 40 minutes. Several of us are asking is this where we need to be ? Finally someone came out and said ( I was the second one there but by time I was seen there were about 8 people waiting and some standing ) "oh you need to go in the changing room and change". So how exactly are we to know that ? Also all this free space and I have to carry my clothes in a plastic bag ???? I have visited this Lenox Hill location several times, and I have always been happy with my visit. The wait times are short and the staff is helpful and kind. A few weeks ago, I was extremely late for my appointment (totally my fault) and when I arrived I had missed my scheduled appointment time. Lexie at the front desk worked magic and fit me in for an appointment. The technician, Aneta (I think that is the spelling of her name), was pleasant and helpful, even though she was squeezing my appointment in between two others. One came out a moment ago and said that she is only doing mammograms today and that someone will come out to help me. I have been here since 1:25 and am the only patient waiting to be seen. Unfortunately I had a similar experience people leaving one or two star reviews before me had. They cancelled two of my appointments previously before I was able to come in having uploaded all the documents they requested pre-visit and I printed out all of my previous mammograms for the past 10 years. The front desk person did not have my insurance card and when I presented my Healthfirst card she asked me if it was Medicare which caught me off guard. Took her almost a full half hour to check me in. Then the wait began upstairs in the uniform blue gown with other quiet and resigned women. I also do not have a ton of confidence in the technician I saw. She asked me even before she took images if I had had a breast ultrasound (my doctor did not order that test) and then took 4 images. At previous mammogram appoitments they usually took at least 6-8 images per breast. I am not sure how accurate the results will be. She also told me to call all the labs where I had a mammogram before (in California for the last 10 years) and ask them to mail me a CD with my images. I have never went to a lab that did not request these themselves. I will be reschedulign my other appointment (which was supposed to be today also but they cancelled on me for some unexplained reason) and go elsewhere. read more

Got to the location after fasting for 6 hours, as they said. I uploaded everything, they asked me to pay, and when I got upstairs they said they cannot do the MrI because I have NON FERROUS - meaning NON MAGNETIC ear piercings that I cannot take out and tattoos that "'may contain metal ink." I was told it is fine if it's non metallic and it's an MRI of my colon, not my ears, but they refused to do the mri. The lady talked so much about how she's not doing it - then she said oh well, it's 3:30, it's too late anyway, you'll have to reschedule. Firstly, the ears can be taped with duct tape or gauze as they've done at other places, or they can only scan the half of the body that needs to be scanned. The lady then told me that if I need it badly, I can go to the emergency room because they don't care there and will do it. Absolutely disgusting place. Wasted my time for nothing, and have to sit with lymphocytic colitis for another week to wait for the doctor to advise. They didn't care at all. I would not send an animal here for an MrI. read more

Agnes my technician was truly great! She made me feel at ease and provided much needed comfort. I went in anxious today and came out relieved. This location is my preference as everything was a breeze. Smooth check-in, friendly staff, spacious waiting areas and it was extremely quiet. I rarely ever look forward to getting ultrasounds and sonograms, but if and when I schedule my next one...I won't dream of booking with anyone else. Thanks again ladies!!! read more

I booked an appointment for a routine mammogram at this location as I was on break and didn't want to drive to the one near where I work. My appointment was for 10:15. When I had undressed and put on my gown I was instructed to sit in a waiting area. Well there were only seven seats and all were taken. Look, I know there were other exams taking place, but I could tell this was going to be a long wait. More women kept coming back and I wasn't being seen. I was told it would be shortly. Well isn't that subjective? I'm lucky that I can come back but I left. Not a very good look. All the exam attendants seemed flustered and rushed. If you can't handle the amount of appointments then don't over book. This never happens at the 91st location in Bay Ridge. read more

Avoid this clinic, they are incompetent. I had an MRI in May and had to wait nearly two weeks for the results. Only after multiple calls the scans were finally seen by a clinician. Today I went for a repeat MRI and they insisted they did not have a copy of my referral, even though my doctor's office is certain they sent it. Also: the facility is brand new but feels like it was designed in 1952. Dim, dirty and not user-friendly. The counter where you check in requires one to stand while registering....in a clinic that's supposed to accommodate folks with injuries! It's just not worth it. I left today without getting my imaging done. Not worth it. Go elsewhere! read more

Do not schedule a bone density test here. I waited 1.5 hrs from my appointment time for test and they do not even have the decency to come and tell you of a delay. They cancelled my initial appt and made me wait 3 weeks for another. I walked out. They apparently have only 1 tech doing multiple tests but they do not schedule appts accordingly rather they just have you waste half a day waiting. read more

The MRI center failed to send the MRI CDs to my neurologist. I requested the CDs be sent to both my referring doctor and neurologist. I then asked confirmation from two separate staff members that this would be the case. And yet, the CDs were not sent to my neurologist. This was extremely irritating to say the least, particularly given that I needed my neurologist to receive these as soon as possible. This followed upon other irritating details: 1) one staff acted like I was asking a stupid question when I asked them to confirm that the CDs would be sent to both my referring doctor and neurologist 2) one staff member told me they would be giving me a 1.5T MRI rather than a 3T MRI without explaining the difference and acting like I was stupid or troublesome for asking what the difference was 3) staff seemed to be talking about unrelated things with other staff as they took my information - presumably part of the reason my CDs were not correctly sent off 4) an MRI technician said she would let another patient go ahead of me if I wanted to go to the bathroom because they were in a rush given that one of their machines was down - this was despite the fact that there was no indication where the bathroom was while I was in the waiting room so I did not use it before 5) I received perhaps 15 repeated automated email messages saying the same thing over an over. Addition: The response below is meaningless boilerplate added to each negative comment. I sent a message to below copying my review above and have received no follow up regarding the status of the CDs or otherwise. Incredible to be paying thousands of dollars for MRIs where significant health issues are at stake and time is of the essence and yet to get this level of carelessness. Second Addition: After I called customer service today, I was told the CDS have apparently only been sent via regular mail with an estimated 7-10 delivery time meaning my physician will only get them two weeks after I had my MRIs. Customer Service indicated that they could not send via a faster shipping method unless I or my physician have a UPS account or provide a label. Customer service then put me in touch with the Cobble Hill Center, which indicated they would put a note in regarding this. I have requested that someone confirm that they will be sent via a faster shipping method after the necessary personnel sees the note. read more

I've been a patient here for over 5 years and every time I've come here I've had to wait a ridiculous amount of time but continued to come here due to the convenient location, but today was THREE hours for a mammogram and breast ultrasound which I find completely unacceptable. Complete disrespect for other people's time. Twice in a row now they have forgotten to put the ultrasound in the schedule even though it was on my appointment and on my referral. I had to return to the front desk downstairs IN MY GOWN today to fix the issue because no one on the ultrasound floor would help me even though it was their mistake. Maybe they could have called downstairs for me?! I will say the woman at the front desk who checked me in was lovely and the mammogram technician was wonderful, but the ultrasound technician was rude and dismissive. We all sat there in the waiting room for obscene amounts of time with no updates or anyone to help us. Every patient there was unhappy. The ultrasound tech said she would have management come down but never did. I left there stressed out and in tears and late for another appointment they had caused me to miss and reschedule. Absolutely the worst. We used to love coming here when it was Zwanger-Pesiri but now it's absolutely the worst. We had an appointment to have a bone age xray done for my daughter a week before our Dr's appointment. When we arrived at the Dr's office they had still not received the results. I tried calling Lenox Hill and was hung up twice; put on hold for over 18 minutes and asked to leave a message. Almost an hour later I managed to get a hold of somebody that faxed the results over to the Dr's office. We waited months to get this appointment with our Dr and was a complete waste of time thanks to Lenox Hill radiology. They were rude, unapologetic and could care less about their patients. Beware of shady billing practices! I've come here for my annual mammogram for a few years now. My doctor orders a sonogram along with a regular mammogram because I have dense breast tissue. Last year, the front desk insisted I pay more than I thought I should, because of what they said my insurance wouldn't cover. NEARLY A YEAR LATER, they sent me a refund check of $65 because they'd overcharged. This year, Dec. 6, I went back for my annual mammogram. They insisted that on top of the copay, I needed to pay $298. Soon after, I got a letter from my insurance saying they had covered nearly everything. I called Lenox Hill. They said they'd expedite my refund. But I still haven't seen it. I detect a pattern here that makes me suspicious. I'm not going back. Also, after all that, my mammogram was "recalled" which means it needed to be repeated to make sure things were OK. I did that at Weill Cornell, where I'll go first next time. read more
