    Seafood molcajete and burger
    Susan S.

Food is good, and the service is even better. I can't say the food is amazing or anything I'd write home about, but the great, friendly service makes the experience so much more enjoyable. Plus the wonderful outdoor seating area with beautiful views or a nice fire pit seating style is a great way to enjoy a drink + meal. We had their ceviche, tuna tartar and both were fresh with nice balance of flavors. One thing I noticed was that nothing was too salty, which we loved. Their seafood molcajete was excellent with well charred peppers and huge prawns. Hubby had their burger which he enjoyed. Drinks are good. Overall, super enjoyable and highly recommended for the relaxing vibe. Good place for dates, family and friend get togethers. Dog friendly too!

    Pulled pork torta, outstanding!

I love this place! Amine was an outstanding server the first night we were there and the second night when we came back just to drink with our friends. Great personality too! The food was very good. I had the smashed Wagyu burger, and my wife had the pulled pork torta. Both excellent. We ate/drank here 4 times during our 5 day stay and was never disappointed. Inside was very comfortable and outside was gorgeous, sitting at the fire pit tables. 10/10

    Old Fashion

My boyfriend and I stopped by here in the early evening just to get a drink after walking around the hotel. I ordered one of their mojito mocktails and my boyfriend got their version of an old fashioned. We were also given some bar snacks which included plantain chips, almonds and corn nuts. The snacks were super addicting and tasty, but not too filling. Which was good because we had a dinner reservation later that night. My alcohol free mojito was super refreshing and presented beautifully. My boyfriend's old fashion was simple but alluring as well. This bar had a view of the hotel grounds and lobby which were both gorgeous. Service here was wonderful, our bartender was super attentive and answered some questions I had since we were staying the night. It was a nice little refresher before dinner.

The views here are great! It's located inside the ritz lobby with an outdoor section with ocean views. It's great for lunch or sunset, they have a lot of heaters outside to keep you warm. The soup was delicious. We enjoyed the jackfruit tacos but they weren't my favorite.

Fish taco bliss. We really could end this review right there. Seriously some of the best fish tacos we've ever had and if we had to guess it was the pickled pineapple that really made them stand apart. The Tortilla Soup was very good and offers enough spice to warm you up should you need that. The serving size is quite generous, so sharing is advisable. We incorrectly assumed that chicken was included and estimate that it would have made an excellent enhancement. The Shrimp Enchiladas Veracruz were also good and provided a very similar amount of spiciness. The overall vibe here is casual, but you should know that the meals are on the pricey end of the spectrum and valet parking is required. The music (and volume) match the ambiance perfectly and are a strong influence encouraging you to linger as long as possible. Very close to the beach, this is a great destination (particularly in the late afternoon and immediately preceding a post meal stroll). And that's...Henry's Take. #santabarbarafishtacos

We went here for our first anniversary and have never felt so special. Alex, our server, started us off with fantastic champagne, was extremely attentive and friendly. The food was incredible, atmosphere was quiet, peaceful with a beautiful view. Then we got an amazing flourless chocolate cake as dessert, also highly recommend the burger and salad. Overall 10/10 experience.

Our experience here was 4+ stars during Thanksgiving. Presentation on ALL the dishes was amazing, creative, and iphone picture-worthy. Artisan Olives and Herb Roasted Nuts Caselvetrano, picholine and kalmata olives, sharing a plate with cashews, peanuts and pecans in a separate round, small dish. Wish I had a few ounces of Manzanilla sherry to go along with the olives! Keeps well for leftovers in your room fridge. Monkey Pretzel Everything seasoning, sea salt, beer cheese dip. Save the cheese dip! Pretzel is a small wreath of six ball sized pretzel wonders. Very well seasoned and sooo tasty. Squash and Apple Bisque Beautiful light orange color reminds you of fall leaves. Candied pumpkin seeds, spiced creme and crispy lavash. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel definitely wakens the palate. Pasta Bolognese Rigatoni Pasta, all natural beef, ground pork, parmesan basil and a sprinkle of sprouts. Huge acute flavor here, but not overbearing. Really hit the spot, and excellent to save for a snack the following day. Truffle Fries Herb and over-loaded with parmesan cheese (a good thing), with garlic ailoli. McDonald's sized fries - careful... hard to stop eating this. Bacara Sangria "Luxurious" Red wine plus carribean spiced rum. Really good - not overly sweet, wich the glass was bigger. Do not feel like you have to go off campus for the best eats - this experience was really pleasantly surprising and the service was prompt and very attentive. Highly recommended!

This was our go to spot at the resort. Heading back from exploring the neighboring areas, let's have a drink at the bar. Heading to dinner in a little bit, let's have a drink at the bar. Coming back from dinner, let's have a drink at the bar. Wandering around aimlessly, let's have a drink at the bar. As far as hotel bars go, this one was nice. The bar is really "O" shaped which is nice for people watching. I rally liked the look of the bar too itself and bartenders were friendly. There are tables around the perimeter of the room and they will come serve drinks and snacks out in the patio and by the fireplace nearby.

My partner and I came in here for a bite recently and had a nice time. It is definitely on the pricey side but the portions were larger than I was expecting. We had the taquitos and steak fajitas, which were both delicious. The bartender and server working that day were both lovely. The ambiance did feel a little hectic, especially for being a Ritz Carlton property. The restaurant felt understaffed while the rest of the property seemed to have ample people working. Ritz Carlton is renowned for their level of service and the ability of their staff to anticipate the wishes and needs of their guests. I just wish that management could have anticipated the needs of their restaurant staff on what was easily going to be a busy lunch service.

Not exactly the attire you expect to see at a Ritz Carlton.

This review is being written in the context that this is the Ritz Carlton. If this were not part of the Ritz, the expectation might have been lower, and hence my rating higher. On the plus side, the setting for the 'O' bar is great, and the menu is interesting, and reasonably priced for a resort of this caliber. The waitstaff is enthusiastic and tries hard, but mostly college students, which causes the turnover to be high and the experience low. We had a nice meal, but a couple of menu items were not available, and service was patchy at times. The atmosphere here is nice, but this Ritz doesn't have much in the way of a dress code, perhaps because it is a beach property. My wife and I were nicely dressed for a high end date, and were surrounded by dudes in running shoes, tank tops, workout shorts, and baseball caps.

'O' Bar and Kitchen is located in the main lobby, across from the Front Desk. I don't think reservations are needed as we just did a walk-in. There are some tables inside and bar seating, but I recommend requesting to be be seated out on the patio. It is so cute and cozy with the bistro string lights decor. We got lucky and got sat next to a fireplace. A more casual eatery, not formal or stuffy at all. Service was fantastic. Everything on the menu looked delicious. My fiancé and I shared a chicken quesedilla and yuca fries. Delicious! A tad overpriced, but they were bigger portions. Definitely better food here than Angel Oak, their steakhouse. I also ordered a glass of red wine and he ordered a beer. We went at night, but definitely will be back to dine during sunset.

She was so professional, quick, polite, and genuinely friendly that I honestly wondered if she was the manager. She had that fresh, confident energy where you can tell someone really knows what they're doing and actually enjoys taking care of their guests. And the FOOD... wow. The whipped ricotta with honey and black pepper was probably my favorite thing I tasted all night. Creamy, slightly sweet, perfectly balanced -- I could have eaten the entire plate. The black truffle Wagyu carpaccio was incredible. The steak practically melted in my mouth, and the truffle flavor made it feel so decadent without being overwhelming. The spicy rigatoni alla vodka was also SO good fresh, rich, full of flavor, and exactly the kind of pasta you keep going back And I have to mention my virgin "Gossip Girl" drink because it was delightful! fresh, refreshing, and honestly such a fun drink. Everything from the food to the service to the beautiful setting felt elevated. This is definitely the kind of place I would come back to for a special dinner. Marisella really delivered. Thank you

Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was very disappointing. We arrived around 8:30 p.m. and were seated around 8:45 p.m. We were immediately told that the kitchen was closing at 9:00 p.m., so we had to rush to place our order. Later, I asked for a glass of milk for my toddler. I was told the kitchen was closed. I then asked if the bar was still open, and the waitress replied, in a way that felt like she was making fun of me, "Usually we don't make food at the bar." I wasn't asking for food--I was simply asking for a glass of milk for my child. I even explained that if they could make cappuccinos, they should be able to provide milk. Unfortunately, my request was dismissed. The food was decent--about 7/10--but the portions were small. The biggest disappointment was the service. While we were still eating, staff were already taking plates and items away from the table. When they brought the dessert, they did not even clean the table first--there were still pieces of food left on the table, and they placed the dessert right there. It felt rushed and careless. For a Ritz-Carlton restaurant, I expected much better hospitality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience felt like a waste of money, and I would not recommend Marisella.

Comfy and relaxing, and dim lighting. Drink menu was diverse. Great selection. From cocktails to all types of alcohol. With an average price range of $15. Bartender knew his craft. All drinks ordered were great! C for service. The service dept needs some help, and I get it, with one person serving 15+ people. It is impossible to provide a5 star service. Initially service was great with a smile when we first arrived @ 6 pm. But soon after the bar became super busy. The wait was 20-30 minutes for an order. It was time to leave. We asked for our check and it came non-itemized. If it was 2 or 4 drinks that would be fine, but we were party of 3 with over 10 drinks. Then we had to wait again after asking for an itemized check. Waiter stated they need to hand write as their "machine" was not working. That took more time than needed. Ahhhhhh.... Ah well.. you can't get it all. Hence the 3.5 stars. I recommend, to sit at the bar and maybe pay cash to avoid hurdles I experienced.
