Well let me start off with just how beautiful the new look of the whole place is. They did a really good job here. Of course it's a football night and it's a pretty packed house I would say, but I think there should've been more than just 2 people working the bar. There was a third but I wouldn't say this person was particularly working the bar- more like a floating mgr of some sort. Could do better at bar staffing. My friend and I; along with a couple other football fans were at the far end of the bar so it was difficult getting service in our end. I got the seafood chimichanga and my friend got tacos I believe. Serving sizes were built for 2 people easily. Quality just a little on the basic side. The restaurant has been beautifully remodeled, and the ambiance is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, the food was a completely different story. We have been to this restaurant many times over the years, so we were excited to see the new remodeling and expected the food to be just as impressive as the new look. Sadly, we were extremely disappointed. The food was horrible and, honestly, disgusting. I even looked around at the other tables, and I noticed that many people were leaving a large amount of food on their plates. That really says something about the quality of the food. Management seriously needs to consider getting a new chef or having someone taste and check the food before it is served to customers. Beautiful surroundings can only go so far--if the food isn't good, the experience is ruined. Unfortunately, after this experience, I would not visit this restaurant again. Really cute place but not the best experience. We were seated pretty quickly but the service after that was rather slow. We didn't get any chips and salsa until our food came out. The chips were really stale. Then their actual food was just not the most flavorful. The chile relleno was undercooked. It needed to be roasted first so it was soft. The rice and beans were good and the drinks were super tasty. Not bad prices either. There was a hair in the food and the waitress just said ok and walked away when we told her which was a weird reaction. But they did remove it from the bill which is nice. read more

This is a place you go for drinks with your college friends on State Street. We came on a Saturday evening with a group of girls and got seated right away in their outside area, which was pleasant. They give you complimentary chips, bean dip and salsa, which was tasty. I ordered the shredded chicken enchilada and shredded beef hard shell taco with a side of beans and rice, the whole plate was okay. The service seemed very sparse and forgetful, but they did provide a complimentary birthday dessert which was kind. TBH, I probably would only come back to try their drinks. I will say they need to clean their bathrooms. I let a staff member know they were out of hand soap. So there were people walking around with dirty bathroom hands. Yikes. read more

Drove down from San Luis Obispo to have brunch with friends at this place this past weekend. The good; Service was excellent - server was training another server and he was really great with the new employee- liked seeing that. The remodel is inviting and perfect, thus it was very busy. Food was also pretty good.. The bad, website has a Brunch menu in which it advertised $5.00 mimosas. When we ordered one during the advertised brunch hours and after they were brought to the table we were informed they haven't started their brunch menu yet (in general) and thus the mimosas were not $5. Huh - says on your website, you should honor it. So..I switched to wine and wanted a Pinot Noir. They were out? Huh, this is wine country especially for Pinot Noir, this place is half a bar, and you have no Pinot Noir. This led to my disappointment and most likely will not be back. read more
