Leslie was absolutely phenomenal! We had the pleasure of sitting in her section during the peak of the soccer game rush, and somehow she still made us feel like we were her only table. Despite how busy she was, she gave us her full attention, checked in on us often, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her recommendations were spot on--from the food to every single drink. He gave us a round of drinks to apologize for the inconvenience and continued checking in on us throughout the night to make sure we were having a good experience. This is a place you go for drinks with your college friends on State Street. We came on a Saturday evening with a group of girls and got seated right away in their outside area, which was pleasant. They give you complimentary chips, bean dip and salsa, which was tasty. I ordered the shredded chicken enchilada and shredded beef hard shell taco with a side of beans and rice, the whole plate was okay. The service seemed very sparse and forgetful, but they did provide a complimentary birthday dessert which was kind. TBH, I probably would only come back to try their drinks. I will say they need to clean their bathrooms. I let a staff member know they were out of hand soap. So there were people walking around with dirty bathroom hands. Yikes. read more

Met up with some friends here on a Thursday around 7:00 PM for dinner. It was sparsely seated apart from our party of 5, but seemed like there were quite a few larger parties of similar size to us. In the evening, the lights of the restaurant are nice, though they are red. I liked the open air setup of the seating. They gave us complimentary chips with salsa and a cheesy chorizo dip. I got the El Supreme Burrito with Chicken Machaca, which was huge and filling. Appreciate that it wasn't too heavy on the sour cream, and loved the pico de gallo and guacamole that came with it! I liked the refried beans more than the rice; the latter was rather bland. The servers were great and attentive, and our food came out relatively fast and dirty plates were cleared quickly. Went on a weekday so not too packed but signs and furniture not being used were jammed around the edges of the restaurant and seemed unorganized. I was never a big fan of the food, it was mid at best, but I went for the vibes and my son loves to sit on State street and watch the bikers go by. Restaurant is cute, but the food was absolutely even worse than before. The Shrimp tacos with the pineapple salsa were beyond bland. Added more salt, lime and neither worked. Tortillas had no flavor at all. Carne asada on the nachos were not good quality. I feel like the bean dip went down too. We thought well it's a bar, so maybe the focus is more on the bar vibes than the food. Unfortunately, we won't return. A major recipe change is needed.
