It kills me to write a less than stellar review about this place. This has been my neighborhood liquor store for years - far superior to those around it. I experience a major service failure today. After paying for my purchase, I loaded my order into my car. The cashier approached my car and asked me to come back inside because something was miss-rang. Sure, no problem. Turns out I owed them $65 (!!) because there were 5 6-pack credits at the top of my order which were not mine. No offer of a discount or anything to make it right. What if I would have already left? I learned my lesson and have a recommendation for everybody as they leave... WALK FASTER! O'Bryan's has a very friendly and helpful staff. They have a weekly rotating wine tasting menu, which is always interesting and a fun way to try new wines. If wine isn't your thing, they have several beers on tap. You can bring food to enjoy with your beverages if you like. The patio is an especially nice spot to relax. When they realized they no longer had any, they asked what exactly I liked about it, gave recommendations of alternatives based on my specific tastes, told me they were going to order some of their seasonal pink lemonade (SO GOOD), and then texted me when it came in 2 days later. A LITTLE GEM OFF THE BEAT AND PATH When I went on-line to find new local wine stores these guys came-up and with a 4.5 star rating so I went to check them out. I have to say after having personally working with 4 other wine stores these guys really do a great job across the board. Their in house Sommelier conducts wine tastings 4-5 days out of the week, he's very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and has a real handle on customer service. The wine tastings are usually $5-10 dollar per tasting but average about 5 wines per tasting which is a really great deal for an opportunity to try new wines in the market and learn about them. Selection is solid, plenty of comfort brands yet a nice selection of smaller producer/hand crafted wines that I like to see on the shelves. Im sum you guys are a class act, your service is fantastic, selection good and the classes aside from being a lot of fun are a great value for prospective wine enthusiast to try new lines. this place is a MUST! read more

Ahhhh, yes! The local liquor store in Loveland Mason area. This is a wonderful local pick-up your booze for the weekend and drinking hole! The first time I came here it was cold outside but they had a food truck. It was delicious! They also have a partly covered extension of the building to be covered by the elements. Now I don't drink too much, but this place is great to stock up or get a bottle of something as a gift for your boss...which is what I was doing. They had a very rare absolute vodka single barrel that I just had to have and the staff are very helpful. Plenty of parking out front but you may have to wait for a spot depending on how busy it is especially around the holidays! read more

O'Bryans is one of my favorite stores ever - not only do they have an amazing selection of wines, liquor and beer - they also have some hard-to-find things too! The store doesn't look like much from the outside but it's much bigger once inside. Even more awesome is that everything is priced VERY reasonably and the staff are incredibly nice and helpful! This is generally my go-to place for wine and liquor. On Friday nights they even have a wine tasting (and they don't skimp out and sample cheap wines - some of them are pricier) which has never disappointed me. When it comes to buying wine, beer or spirits there's a decent number of places to choose from in and around Mason. O'Bryan's has them all beat. The selection is excellent, ranging from staples to things I've never even heard of. The O'Bryan's themselves are often there and the entire staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. While we've never needed to I'm told if there's something they don't have they can usually order it for you. Their prices are good, although to be fair I'm not certain how much leeway places like this have in pricing and how much is set by state regulations. Frankly even if the prices weren't as good as or better than elsewhere, I'd still shop here for the selection and service. You know they care when they even get on here and respond to reviews, something I almost never see businesses do. I also personally dig the little bit of nostalgia - this place has been open (though in a different location across the street) as long as I've been alive. I remember my grandma stopping in there when I was a kid. They have a really strong bond with the community and I think of all the businesses around they've probably been here the longest with the possible exception of the BP on the corner or Bonnie Lynn Bakery down the street. Did I mention they also have awesome wine tastings on Fridays? If you're in the area and you currently go anywhere else for your choice of spirits I cannot recommend enough that you give them a try instead. You'll thank me later. read more

Great family owned business smack-dab in the middle of Landen/Maineville and is a hidden gem. It's not "just" a family business either, the owners are ever-present and recognize you when you walk in and stop to chat up what's going on in your life. I can't speak too much to their liquor because I rarely drink liquor. Their wine selection is great and they have a staff sommelier that is insanely knowledgeable and very approachable. Daniel is just a nice guy and treats every question with a happy earnestness whether you have a question about a $5 bottle of wine or a really rare variety from a specific region/company you are looking for. Really good guy. They added a patio in the summer of 2015 and covered it in the summer of 2016. A big screen is out there if you want to watch the game and they bring in local artists if you just want to relax and listen to some music. They work with an ever-changing lineup of local food trucks, so if you get a little hungry they've got you covered their most nights too. Their beer selection is usually where you will find me. If you're not a craft beer drinker, they've got you covered with a massive beer cave with plenty of ice cold pops ready to go to your BBQ or get-together. If you ARE a craft beer drinker, their selection is second-to-none. They have bombers, they have local crafts, they fill growlers, they've got 6-packs, they've got make your own 6ers, they've got cold ones, and they've got ones good for another day. The selection is great and the whole staff is really knowledgeable about specific beers and know if the hard-to-get brews are going to be found in the area and when you might be able to snag one. ;) Definitely a must to check out if you're into the craft beer scene, need a bottle of wine for a get together with friends, or want to put together a last-minute gift for someone. read more

This place is really a hidden gem, and one of the best stores of it's kind in the area. They have an awesome selection of everything alchy-hol. They do many tastings and events. The staff couldn't be any more knowledgeable! My main thing would be craft beer and they have a great selection. They are also willing to order things if they are able. I was out in Loveland visiting friends when they recommended going to O'Bryan's as it was walking distance from their house for a drink. I was pleasantly surprised how cute it was. It's a liquor store + sell beer and wine to drink on premises. We sat outside in a heated tented patio where there was a fire. Very cozy. There was also a guy there who was playing guitar and singing. The staff was really pleasant and great beer/wine selection to chose from. Prices were extremely reasonable too. I don't often get outside the 275 loops (city kind of gal) and was really glad to have found this spot. We were headed to a party after so we were able to grab beer to take after we had a drink. Talk about convenient. Will definitely be back next time I'm at my friend's home. It's more family friendly and not very bar-like so good for a chill, spot. read more

When I get home I have to do one thing, and that is unlock my door to get in my house and lock it for safety. In order to do that, I need one free hand so I can reach in my pocket, get the key, put it in the lock, press the button, open the door, close the door, and lock the door. I hate when a particular employee is working, (he may be the owner for all I know) always makes me feel like a heel for asking him to put both bottles in a bigger bag, mind you one is a plastic liquor bottle and one is a plastic 2-liter bottle. Usually, it's a grumble, and I just deal with it. But, today he does the same thing, so I ask him for a bigger bag to fit both, and he looks at me like I'm crazy, and am the biggest pain in his butt, then hands me the bag, grumbles and walks away to get back to his paperwork. The lack of customer service these days is truly astonishing. He's actually been nice to me before, but usually he definitely has an attitude. I can get beer, wine and liquor at many places around here. I don't think you run the risk of going out of business, but don't you think your customers deserve better? Thanks. Update 07/05/19 - I spoke with the owner who said he had addressed it with the employee, which I appreciated. He explained to me that when they are busy the employee tries to get people through the line. We came here for the Fourth of July because we are having a get together tonight and we were coming to get liquor. When we walked in we saw that they were filling up growlers (even if you have your own at home) and we got so stoked because they have such a great selection of beer. We got 3 growlers total. The staff is extremely friendly and are very knowledgeable on all of the alcohol. Every person they see they ask if they need help finding anything and they seem to love their jobs, which you don't see anymore! Been coming here for a year and I will continue to come. Clerks are rude and the hold back their allocated bourbon for select customers. I asked if he had Blantons or Eagle Rare this week and he said "Oh no". I told him that was surprising. He said why and I answered "because every other store that has received allocations this week have each received it.". He then said, "Oh, well we sold out." [which is suspicious as the delivery truck had not yet finished with their delivery]. I then asked a question about a bourbon and the clerk said he did not have time to review every whiskey, his words were "I have more important things to do than know the different bourbons here". There were no customers in line at the time. I will not be back, there are many other places I can go where they appreciate you. read more

FANTASTIC. I used O'Bryan's to cater my parent's 40th surprise anniversary party this month. We had around 110. Not only were they responsive but extremely collaborative. This was a special case as I was organizing mostly from Seattle, where I live. Theresa and her team helped me craft the perfect menu and provided an open bar with a fantastic specialty cocktail. They delivered and picked up in a timely manner! What they can do is just amazing. They're flexible and can work with any budget. The staff was friendly and professional simply outstanding. Not to mention the variety was stupendous! They had a copious amount of wine from local Pacific Northwest wineries. Like seriously amazing! People are STILL talking about it. read more

Until today, this has been one of my favorite places to purchase beer/wine. I visited this place tonight and arrived at 7:45. I went to the bar and purchased a glass of wine (which was 4oz only) and then asked at 7:55 to get the five tastes for $5.00. They declined to serve me because it ended at 8:00. Please keep in mind the business stays open later but they didn't want to extend the session. It doesn't take me very long to consume 5 - 1oz pours. The sommelier actually stated people keep coming in later and they should keep pouring but they have not decided to do that yet. A Bottle or Two down the street would have served me at 7:55. I will take my business to some place that needs it. read more

This is an above average liquor store, not a bar. They have a nice selection of bourbons but none of the Van Winkle bourbons.

The owners here do a great job fulfilling any customer request that comes there way. On top of that they have a large selection of beer wine & liquor at all times. It's nice to shop here a little out of the way from the normal spots you hear about. I've driven past O'Bryan's numerous times, but I've never actually been there until today. I'm so glad I stopped in! They have an impressive selection of wine and spirits; they have some drinks that even Jungle Jim's doesn't have! They also have a refrigerated area with tons of beer. The bar they have in the building is pretty impressive for a liquor store, and it was great to be able to sample some of the beers available before buying them in a growler; and the price for a 64 oz growler full of beer was surprisingly affordable! The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the products they were selling, and they were helpful too! I had one lady offer me a recommendation on a beer and then she helped me carry it to my car! I've never had service this friendly or a selection this impressive from a liquor store before. I'm definitely making O'Bryan's my first choice for booze from now on! read more
