On our way back to Chicago from Sarasota we stopped today at this restaurant which we've never been in before and we shared grilled chicken with a wonderful sauce on it. It came with sweet potato, mashed and broccoli and a bread basket full of biscuits, which were great, and the lady who took care of us was very nice and they gave us a free piece of apple pie for dessert which is made in the house they did that because we told them we've never been there before which is true so this is an easy five star great little place to stop on the road and very, very reasonably priced read more

We were traveling last weekend on I-24 headed to St. Louis and stopped for the night in Manchester, TN. There was an O'Charley's next door to our hotel and decided to go for dinner. There were a dozen or so tables when we arrived. The hostess sat us in a booth and we were greeted by our server. She was very nice, and took our drink order, and we placed an order for the Crispy Pickle Chips appetizer. She brought our drinks and a short time later our appetizer. The four of us placed our orders: Caesar Salad w/ Grilled Chicken and side of Rice Pilaf, Atlantic Salmon, Classic Cheeseburger, and the "NEW!" Country Fried Steak. The pickle Chips arrived first. They were crispy. Hard and dry with a thick, off-tasting crust which over powered the pickle. They tasted like they were right out of a freezer bag. They came with a ranch-style dipping sauce which couldn't save them from the awful, thick hard crust. Next came our entrees. The Classic Cheeseburger was good, not great, but the best this were were served that evening. It came with French fries which were also good. Next was the Caesar Salad w/ Grilled Chicken and side of Rice Pilaf. The salad was okay but nothing special. A but under dressed as the chicken absorbed a lot of the standard caesar dressing. The rice pilaf barely resembling pilaf. It was missing the basic vegetables which make a pilaf correct and flavorful. the Atlantic Salmon. looked nice but fell short as soon as it was cut into. It was seared on the outside, warm in the center and cooked, but mushy. Seems like it was frozen, microwaved, and then seared on the outside. It was edible not not worth the $20.99 price. Finally cam ethe "NEW!" Country Fried Steak. OMG! It was horrific. When our server stopped by and asked :is everything terrific" I had to speak up. I told her "not exactly". The Cheesy Grits side I ordered were cold and the cheese was absent. She said "I can fix that" and took them away bringing back the dish she took, I could tell as the pepper I sprinkled on top was there, and the dish was hot while the grips lukewarm. They were runny and blank and again . . . no cheese. The grits however paled in comparison to the country fried steak. The heavily breaded perfectly round patty was clearly a frozen ground meat formed patty pulled from the freezer. Fried and covered with a thick, pasty, peppery white gravy made from a mix. I don't mind paying the high prices from this economy, but this meal was an embarrassment. The service was good and the server clearly ashamed of what she was forced to serve, I was shocked that after voicing our disappointment that the manager never even came to our table to apologize, or even try to defend their food. He/She needs to be fired, and at a minimum order, eat, and pay for the meal we had just been served. I invite the CEO, District Manager, and store manager to sit down at one of their restaurants for a meal with me, at my expense. I dare them to eat the meal we paid for and stand behind it as quality food at a fair price. They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

We stopped here for a free appetizer that the wife had for her birthday. We started with a spinach dip that came with tortilla chips . Wasn't too bad and a nice serving for two. I had the cheeseburger and chicken finger meal with fries . The burger was two patties and was pretty good. There famously tenders didn't taste of anything as did the fries that were a bit soggy from sitting a while. Wife had chicken noodle soup which was good but she thinks it came from a can . Took like 10 mins to get a server to take out order but once she realized we were in her section she was very good. We are going to go back and see if the experience changes. It's kinda like a Applebees . But seems to be always crowded so going to give them another shot. Check it out it's off of interstate 24. read more

Food was mediocre at best. Stopped in after checking into a hotel near by. After 12 hours on the road, we just wanted to sit back, have some cocktails and enjoy what was left of the evening. It seemed like when we arrived at 8pm, they wanted to close up. They tried to stay open until posted closing time, but unfortunately they are a restaurant, not a "bar". We didn't fight them when they decided to tell us we wouldn't be able to have any more drinks. Probably would have gotten another $50 if you would have let us stay for another. No biggy. Monday night October 21, Becca offered great service as she always does. Good food, great atmosphere but the friendly staff is what keeps us returning. Becca, Paula and Linda are always the ones that we loon forward to seeing. Linda always makes time to check on us to ensure our meal was good. Paula and Becca are hands down the best employees. Came here on a weekend at around 5PM, not too crowded but definitely people dining in. Staff doesn't wear masks, didn't feel great, wouldn't have eaten in but raining outside and too difficult to find outdoor / patio dining with the weather. Anyway, menu is overloaded with fried food and I didn't want to eat that, so I got 6-oz blackened salmon with mac and cheese and broccoli as sides. Bread was warm and chewy but slightly on the sweet side. Salmon was overcooked a bit, enjoyed the flavor. Mac and cheese was chewy but not very flavorful; broccoli was overcooked too as it was too soft, and it had butter on it, why? Bill was given and server asked if my friend wanted a box before he finished eating, that was a bit strange. Bit on the pricey side for the amount and quality of food. read more

We've eaten at this location numerous times over the years. Tonight they must have had a new cook but we ordered the crab cake and shrimp appetizer. The centers of the crab cakes came out cold so we sent them back. They made us a new order, and guess what? One of the new crab cakes had a frozen center. The waitress said she would take it off our bill. So our main courses came out, one with mashed potatoes and the other with mashed sweet potatoes. The mashed potatoes were Luke warm and the sweet potatoes were cold. Told the waitress about the issue and she apologized. Decaf coffee also came out luke warm. I've never had these kinds of issues at this location so hopefully they will get the bugs worked out. read more

Here is an updated review (Note, the two updates below are older than this review): My wife and I were contacted by the manager, Chris. He took the time to listen to us about our experiences and seemed to be very sincere about turning the place around. He sent us a gift card to come back and try it out again. That was in August. We just now got around to going back and giving them a try. Well, I'm glad we did. If they consistently provide service and quality food like they did Saturday night, we will be regulars again. The service was excellent, and the food was very good. They were very busy and still our server made us feel like a priority. My wife got a drink called a painkiller or something like that. She said it was very good. I got a Sam Adams Winter Lager that was very cold and in a clean glass. We had cheese wedges appetizer, it came quickly and was hot and very good. My wife had fish and chips and was very happy with them. I had the seafood platter with fish, shrimp, and stuffed crab. I liked it. One of the shift managers went around and checked on everyone including us. They used to do that regularly, I'm glad they are doing it again. One thing that impressed me was that servers would also check on tables that weren't theirs if they noticed people having difficulties. I think they have turned this store around. We used to frequent this restaurant a lot when we used to stay in Manchester for short stays. It has been approx. 3 years since we have visited this location and overall I would say it is on of the nicer O'Charley's we have visited. This time I can only review their To Go service because that is all we used on this occasion. We ordered our food online and when we went to pick it up it was ready and waiting for us. The server was very nice, the food was good, and the price was right. The only thing I would ask this location to consider is updating their disposable knives. It was impossible to cut the steak in our hotel room. Other than that I would highly recommend their To Go service. read more

My office and I ordered lunch from here, and we order online for the convenience and limited time constraints. This way we can all pay and then a few go and pick up. Twice now the same coworkers food was forgotten. We called, asking for the forgotten purchase to be delivered since this was the second time, at first we were told to call grub hub(which would cost us), then when the manager got on the phone, she literally sighed. They did end up delivering the purchase, however, they didnt offer anything extra. They could have at least given some free rolls or something. read more

After driving all day we checked into our hotel and we were looking for a place to grab a decent meal close and not waste a lot of time. I've eaten at the brand of restaurant on more than a few occasions so I assumed this would a be safe choice although this is one location I've never visited. We were seated immediately by the hostess and were greeted within a minute of sitting by our server Iva. She was very friendly and we felt very lucky to have such a seasoned server who understood our agenda. She presented us with menus and made a few recommendations while taking our drink orders. Only a few minutes elapsed before our drinks arrived and we placed our orders. We both orders a wedge salad for starters for a slight up charge and they arrived within a few minutes along with fresh rolls hot out of the oven after looking at the wedge salads there was no doubt we could of split one and would of been more than satisfied. We ordered the prime rib dip with au jus and Cajun chicken pasta. Both entrees arrived just after we finished most of our salads and were both piping hot fresh from the kitchen. Iva continued to check on us periodIcally throughout our meal ensuring everything was to our liking. We declined on the desserts and she brought out our check as requested and we settled up and were back at the hotel in less than 45 minutes of arriving at the restaurant which was our intention from the beginning. Raw Salmon. Over-Cooked Baby Back Ribs with the back membrane still attached. Watered down sweet tea. No refills offered. Tomato soup was room temperature, cheese topping didn't even melt. I gave 1 star because manager acknowledged issues and gave us a $7 discount. He didn't have to but did. However, a restaurant as such should know that the secret to "fall off the bone baby back ribs is to pull off the back membrane and never to Over-Cooked.
