We both had the T-Town which is 2 large buttermilk pancakes, 2 eggs and your choice of Applewood bacon, Sausage or ham. We had the ham and sausage. This was quite tasty. Our families meet at a different restaurant every month to stay close. The Sundrop Shoppe was chosen for its unique location and ambience. We arrived early and began drinking coffee. The other family members arrived about 15 minutes later and we started giving our individual orders to the waitress. She was immediately confused with simple changes... no toast, add hash browns. She brought out 2 sets of cutlery for 5 people and was confused when we asked for more cutlery. My pancakes were mostly doughy, not fluffy. My wife's soup was too salty. Sundrop, the drink that can only be found in certain locations. It's kinda sacred around here, but a must have to get you going and keep you going. This is probably the second time I've had the chance to visit here to dine in. I must say you won't be disappointed. Our server was amazing and managed the entire floor by herself even as people continued to pile in. You never seen her sweat or seem overworked, she rolled right with it ensuring that each guests' needs were met. We ordered French toast, bacon and eggs, and pancakes. I have 0 complaints! I'm a French toast kinda girl, and these were amazing. My probably some of the best French toast within the area who serve breakfast. If you're ever in the area and can get here just before the morning rush, it's a must try! A try you won't be disappointed in. What an adorable shop. Server was very friendly and the place was as clean as a whistle. I only grabbed an unsweetened tea to go, so this review does not reflect the food, but it is only 11:00 and more than half the tables had customers. Our experience was fine. Service was okay and the food was edible. Nothing to write home about. The white chicken chili arrived cool without the cheese melted on top. If it wasn't a super hot day I would have asked for it to be reheated. We didn't get a float or a milkshake, and perhaps those are the best items on the menu. Went to Sundrop Shoppe this morning for breakfast at 0800. Just walking in and looking at the menu made me realize that it had been too long since I was there. It is like going back in time for me as I knew both David and Raymond Prescott growing up in Tullahoma and know Paige, the owner of the Shoppe well. I had two eggs over medium, 3 strips of great bacon and rye bread buttered just right with jelly. Had a medium glass of Orange juice that went well with it. Chicken salad sandwich, as evidenced by the photo, had two bites worth of chicken salad and then you are eating a tomato sandwich. Chicken was clearly from a can (chewy). Oh my gosh. Great food, tremendous service. Will probably squeeze in a return trip before we leave the area. Highly recommended. Tom had the daily special...jalapeño popper grilled cheese sandwich. Bread was fresh, the combination of peppers and cheese perfect. The homemade from scratch tomato soup was stupendous. My chicken salad plate was scrumptious. The sun drop shoppe is such a cute place and the food is really good. Great place for lunch as I had the chicken salad with fruit. The white chili was also amazing and won a prize. A gracious 3 star, wanted to be wowed, but was a little disappointed. First, I will say they were a little busy, we sat at the last available table after which both the behind and in front of us left. We were not acknowleded at all, even cleaned the two tables seated and greeted both before us, not off to a great start. I guess as it was our first visit they were taking care of regulars? Anyway, seemed quaint and had a decent menu. Once she came over seemed very pleasant took our order with out writing down. After a bit I noticed an order sitting in the pick up window for 6 or 7 minutes. The cook finally brought it to our table, not a single thing was right on my order? Asked for a "cup" of soup no scallions and BLT without tomatoe. I got a "bowl" of soup w/scallions and tomatoes on my sandwich, both were not warm and just okay. My MIL's breakfast plate did not look good at all, undercooked bacon dripping with grease and overcooked eggs. My husband's pancakes looked great, but he said they had an odd taste halfway through and rubbery bacon. Really wanted to like this place, but something was off. The last thing that really clinched it was watching the woman pick up a lid for a milk jug off the dirty carpet, toss it into the cold case, then another girl put it back on the jug to close. I'm totally impressed with the Sundrop Shoppe! Everything on the menu looked amazing. The decor was beautiful and reminded me of Mr. Gower's soda fountain in It's a Wonderful Life...tin ceiling, beautiful wooden bar and even the bathroom was cute. My elderly mom and I drove from Nashville for lunch. She had ME's chicken salad and I had Paige's yummy white chicken chili. We both had a side of the potato salad. And if that wasn't enough we had a piece of Sundrop cake and the blondie. We even got a whole Sundrop cake to go. Everything was superb! Thanks for making me gain 10lbs., Sundrop Shoppe.
