The Mister Sparky Electric guy charged $400 to tell my HOA: "Resident has square D panel which complies with today's standards. No need to change panel." All he did was look at the panel that day. Maybe 15 minutes to say what kind of panel it was and charged $400. Anyways- beware of going to certain companies to have electrical work done. Hagan Electric seems like a good one. The job I had today was pretty simple.

This new line was in case we ever wanted to replace the cooktop with an induction cooktop. Most recently he came back to move the junction box, as we had decided to get that induction cooktop after all, and it spec'd a junction box lower down than Mike installed. (Of course, if we'd picked a cooktop ahead of time and had the spec, this extra trip would not have been needed.) I called O'Connor Electric after calling a couple top rated electricians here on Yelp and getting the run around messages and promises to call back that never happened. I called spoke with Terry she scheduled an estimate with George a day later. George was right on time. He gave good advise on what I was looking to do and provided me an estimate on the spot. We scheduled the work for a few days later. George was again right on time giving me faith there are good people out. His work was excellent with great attention to detail. He removed old fluorescent lighting and installed new LED lighting in my kitchen and living room. Replaced all my existing recessed lighting with LED and installed several new fixtures. I have since had George back out to install a couple new fixtures I had ordered, again top notch can't say enough about his great work. read more
