The delivered granite with the edges unfinished and got very angry when I said this wasn't OK. They…read moresaid they had 25 years of contracting experience and that's how it was. The problem with this is some of the edges on the things delivered earlier were perfect and a professional granite repair company said of course the edges should be finished. They stopped coming on a regular basis after four weeks and turned a four to six week job into over a three month job. They didn't provide the help moving things they promised , didn't cover the furniture as promised. They didn't stick to the plan that was supposed to make it so I could live there while they worked and got angry with me when I mentioned that. They tried to do as little as possible and call it done and wanted to gaslight me into believing I was being unreasonable by expecting what was promised. One cabinet had a screw half screwed in and the cabinet holding up the microwave only has two of the four screws it's supposed to have holding it up. They left a shelf hanging in the linen closet and holes in the walls. The shelf in the bathroom was put on with two sided tape, not what I was told, and has already fallen off the wall. They claimed all the broken tile came that way but didn't keep any of it so i could return it. The last day they offered to bring half a box back for me and never did. I paid for the grout but miraculously I used exactly what was bought so there was none left over. They left no tough up paint and left without giving me any information on the paint or grout used so I could get more since there are many places that need touch up. They use a cart of mine without asking me and when I mentioned it the main helper said that if I wanted to be a prick the could be pricks too. It was so destroyed that they offered to replace the wheels on it. I picked it up the other day and the wheel fell off. They didn't clean as promised and left a mess in the garage and on my balcony. Don't use these guys!!!

They went above and beyond moving things too heavy for me to move and even went onto the roof and sealed a leaky gutter that dripped onto the pool deck. They were punctual and worked steadily. Our…read moreold paint (gray exterior, black trim) looked great when we had black windows, but when we got new white windows, the black trim clashed and the caulking job left uneven lines around the window frames. We also had a restuccoed bay window that needed match painting. We were told by another painting company that this partial job couldn't be done, we would need the whole house repainted. Perfecting Paint gave us a fair quote for exactly what we were looking for and got the job done. The match paint looks great and the new white trim really freshened up the look of the house. I should also mention they use the best products (Sherwin Williams Super Paint). We also really appreciate them working around our schedule and getting the project knocked out in one day. I would urgently advise anyone even considering Lafferty for any type of work, to do due diligence…read moreand look elsewhere. I have many photos of careless work, failure to clean up not only construction debris , but personal items such as cigarettes, lunch containers, water and cola bottles. Also, at the end of everyday there were screws, screening, etc. left in the bottom of the pool. I had asked for a cover for this exact reason-possible rust stains- and was told that the crew is VERY careful and checks everyday. However, nothing such as a shop vac or even a broom was ever brought to the site. My pool person left several pieces of equipment for scooping out the bottom and she changed the filter to run after work hours throughout the night so the workers could see what needed to be taken out on a daily basis. Then there is the final result- obviously, someone from Lafferty measured incorrectly because after 22 years of a straight back cage wall, I now have a slanted one that, in effect, presents an appearance of an uneven slant that is very noticeable. Also, the vertical bars that abutted each side of the raised fountain area are off kilter- one abuts and the other is about 10" off to the right. I will need to have a new pool deck installed; they don't tell you that they will not follow the original vertical locations nor cover them with the new construction. The first inspection failed because there were many areas that needed change to make the cage stronger. A second inspection has not been done. I suppose it's 'looser' in Brevard County than Indian River. HOWEVER, I was emailed today in response to my request to adjust the screen door-huge gaps- that Lafferty will not do anymore work until the final payment is made! A workman told me that Lafferty has been fined several times. I certainly wish I had known that before agreeing to this project, Outwardly, the salesman appears very knowledgeable and promised me that the cage would be the same design but with much better materials. That's what I asked for and the drawings supported that. This company has never understood the concept of trying to make the customer happy. Nor do the owners have much integrity, from what I wrote above to notarizing a document that contained my signature but not in my presence nor with my permission.

When my husband called to get a definitive date the woman Ar---- put him on hold and basically to his understanding forgot about the follow up. When I finally got the phone message they would come out Tuesday but to call them back before 5 pm to confirm which I did. My husband also got a call twice from them and a woman named As--- told him they would be at the house between 9 and 11 am Tuesday. I waited until mid morning and called them to see what the holdup was. I spoke with Ar that it was going to be the afternoon before anyone was to come. By this time I was so angry having to wait when they changed the schedule without notification. I spoke with Br ------who just gave me another excuse that As ----was not the person to make the decision on the schedule. Why and How would my husband know the time unless he was informed by someone in the clueless office people?? They need to get their brains together and have one delegated informed individual to deal with customers. The way I see it they were very prompt with getting their money but piss poor on office management.

The measuring team did a pretty good job although there was a couple inaccuracies that caused some issues during installation. We use our own Installer; so when the cabinets were installed, Angela didn't like to be bothered with questions or concerns. She does not like to talk on the phone and will text only which can be maddening when you are trying to troubleshoot. They sold us a pull out drawer under the kitchen sink, which could not be used because our plumbing was coming from the floor, which they knew, but still did not want to give me a refund for the unusable pull out. The wrong hood mechanics was originally ordered, when I reached out to her, she ordered another hood kit and charged me 106 more dollars. When it arrived, it was the wrong hood kit also. She will not refund me the money for either hood kit And instead of talking to me about it, she has blocked my phone number. Bob came out the same week, on time. That was my first wow moment! He put together a proposal, which included a detail list of materials, as well as 3D models showing the kitchen at many different views, and pricing was very fair. From there everything went pretty much seamless. Based on his models, I made changes to my original plan and was able to optimize my space. Their installers are top notch. Working around other contractors (this was a whole house remodel), as well as being open to working around our work schedules. I can't say enough about Bob, Robert, Kurt and of course Charlie. These guys know what they are doing, and in my opinion they under promised and over delivered. I could not be happier with my new kitchen, it's gorgeous and more than I had anticipated.
