Don't know why it took me so long to try O Happy Bread, but I'm sure glad I did. Father Bruno mentioned that they even serve dinner on the weekends. So, I thought I'd go there for lunch today after Mass. I had the Napoleon Sandwich and Iced Tea. OMG! It was wonderful. I really loved the just baked French bread on the sandwich. I ended up buying several pastries (including my favorite - beignets !!!) to take home to share with Hubby. I even bought some gift cards. I will be back frequently- for sure!!! read more

Whenever in Pahrump we always stop by, great pastries and the soup with a sandwich or quiche is a wonderful lite lunch. In a standard strip center so not much to look at from outside but inside the pastry case is always well stocked with tasty treats. Been here many many times. Best fresh bread for certain. Also, the pastries are amazing. My fave is the almond croissants, I always get 2. The family enjoys danishes, lemon tarts, royal cake (name). I love this place! I don't visit as much as I would like because I would be bigger than a house, but their croissants are to die for! Their hard-crusted bread is amazing. I have not tried any of their cakes, but am super happy with the bread and croissants. read more

Stopped by for a light lunch on way back from Death Valley. The sandwich had only one thin slice of ham and one slice of cheese, however the bread was excellent. The soup was very good! If did over, would get a larger bowl of soup with a side of bread. read more

Just went for a drive on a sunny Saturday afternoon with the top down. Decided to stop in Pahrump for lunch. Found this place online and decided to give it a try. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much. Boy was I wrong. This place a great. My wife and I both ordered French onion soup and a sandwich. The French onion is amazing. We took the sandwiches to go. On our way out we also bought a loaf of bread. Absolutely fantastic!! I will not hesitate to drive from Las Vegas to Pahrump to do it again. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. When I opened the door the smell of freshly baked bread was wonderfully overwhelming. There was a small line that was being helped by the kind patient helpers behind the counter. When it was my turn I ordered my treats and a cappuccino to go. Every bite seemed to be carefully crafted to include every flavor. I would say my most favorite if I had to pick would be the Perisien and I am a sweets person. Us Bay Area types are snobs when it comes to bakeries and pastries, especially since we are surrounded by titans of bread. I was worried when staying in Pahrump that I wouldn't be able to find a decent spot for breakfast, but this place is more than decent. It's fantastic. I ordered a croissant sandwich and cappuccino. The sandwich took a while to arrive, but when it did it was excellent. The eggs were fluffy, the ham was delicious, and the croissant itself was flaky and buttery. In fact the experience was so good that I bought some madeleines and an eclair for the road, which were the perfect snack while I went and explored Death Valley. Unfortunately there isn't much ambiance under the harsh fluorescent lighting and sparse declarations but it's more than made up for in the quality of the food. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area. read more

We live in Arizona and our very best friends live in Pahrump. Whenever we visit Pahrump that is our favorite place to eat. If there is any place anywhere near that quality in the Phoenix area, please tell me! Their coffee, pastries, sandwiches and bread are fresh and amazing. First time I ate inside the restaurant a friend gave me a sandwich to Long long time ago to croissant, breakfast sausage, and egg and cheese. That was awesome so I decided we would try it inside. I asked where we could get French onion soup in Param and I was told they had it on a daily basis so I asked my husband to take me there for lunch and I had that and a pate sandwich. I didn't need the pate sandwich so I took it home and had it for dinner, the onion soup was wonderful feeling thick and yummy. My husband had a roast beef and he enjoyed it very much. We will go back not every day but we will go back at least once. read more

Talk about a surprise. I had heard about this bakery and seeing the town wondered where and what it was. Well the raisin bun was sensational. Friend had a almond Croissant. Fabulous. I come from San Francisco and have a seasoned palette and this equals if not beats any I have had in California. Wow!!!! What a chance they took in a very unsophisticated location. Aptly named, "O Happy Bread" will make you exclaim with joy. This place is possibly the best restaurant in Pahrump. I enjoy getting a double espresso and a spinach and cheese mini-quiche for breakfast, sometimes with raspberry beignets on the side. The pastries and tarts are beautiful and make excellent gifts. Oh Happy Bread! My friends and I wanted something to snack on before we left Pahrump and found this French bakery on Yelp. Me, being ridiculous, kept singing the name of this bakery because it sounded like it could be in a song. The bakery was small, but bright and nice looking. There was a wall lined with baked bread. The lady at the counter greeted us and pointed out the menu. I wasn't particularly hungry, but I purchased a chocolate croissant to eat while we were on the road back to Las Vegas. It was actually quite good. While I waited for my friends to purchase their food, I read about the owner's history on the wall. Quite fascinating! I wouldn't drive an hour and back just for this bakery, but I'd be willing to come here whenever I'm in the area and try out the rest of the baked goods. read more

If you're in Pahrump, and have a sweet tooth, you will want to check this place out! Just about everything they have in their display is fantastic, but I especially love the Royale Chocolat cake - smooth chocolate-y center, crunchy crust, and crunchy flakes on the side. It is so good, I drove 5 hours to CA with an entire cake and the family LOVED it! I followed their advice to wrap the box in plastic and place it atop ice. I used those blue square ice bottles around it, and it arrived in tip top shape! There were no leftovers. I also love their macaroons (addicting), their fruit tarts & their fruit pies (seasonal). They also make butter, almond and chocolate croissants that are perfect to start your day with. They also have a soup of the day that comes with a generous side of bread. Make sure you arrive early or they might run out of their lobster bisque on Fridays! read more

Stopped in for coffee and saw some beautiful macaroons! They were presented to us in a lovely pink pastry box, each one representing a different flavor. Coffee, vanilla, raspberry, lemon, pistachio, and chocolate! The were Devine! Perfectly chilled on the inside and so creamy! The coffee was exceptional as well. The owner is obviously from France and was lovely as well. This is a must stop and try treasure!!! read more

It is like finding well in the desert. The place has positive vibes and very friendly people. This little french bakery has amazing sandwiches and pastries. Sandwiches don't get soggy even if you to-go and remain intact as the bread quality is just so amazing. Croissants are jumbo sized and delicious too. Owners are a nice couple who moved from France a while back. We ordered sandwiches to go. They make them to order in the French style with baguette bread, slicing the bread in front of you. They were very tasty! I didn't get to taste the pastries but they looked exactly like what you would find in France. It was like going back to the old country for a few moments. This place was SUCH an unexpected surprise! Who would expect such an amazing French bakery in Pahrump? One of the best I've ever been to! This is not the typical bakery fare. It is top-of-the line, extravagant, delicate French pastry, by a pastry chef trained in France. We were overwhelmed by deliciousness. They have wonderful bread. We also bought a bunch of pastries for our road trip. Last, we bought two spinach quiches that were so good, we turned around after a couple miles and went back for two more for later. My friend and I had the pleasure of coming here on a trip to Front Sight a few weeks ago. I won't go into details but suffice to say the owners were incredibly nice, helpful and charming. They went above and beyond normal service to help us get a sympathy gift/cheesecake for a friend who was meeting us. We couldn't have been happier with their service and will definitely be going back whenever we're in Pahrump. Also, the lemon tart, chocolate chip cookies, and french bread were AMAZING.
