Not sure what happened to this place, perhaps it's under new management? Last year, we had an amazing experience in both customer service and food. On this stop, we waited a few minutes to even be acknowledged. The staff was not very friendly, and the selection of pastries was different. The pastries were good but not great. Maybe they lost their master baker? We ordered the cinnamon roll and a new pastry called CUCCIDATI. We each took a bite of the cinnamon roll and it was dry so we did not eat it. The Cuccidati was very interesting and we kinda liked it. It's still cute place with clean bathrooms and a decent stop on your way to Death Valley.

My husband got a roasted beef sandwich which and I got a turkey. It was so big I couldn't finish the whole thing. Of course served on a baguette that was crispy on the outside and plump on the inside. Perfect bread! Their dessert section looked amazing as well. You order at the counter and they call your name, but counter service was nice. Casual, laid back place with great bread and dessert and lunch selections. Yum!

Pho is wonderful!! Very impressive! Made to order - fresh, and delicious! Only found out during a pedicure last Saturday that O Happy Bread had added pho to the menu! Could not wait to try it! Barely made it home with the fab aromas filling my vehicle! Service was great, the young lady in front was very helpful. Have always enjoyed the bakery but the Vietnamese flair takes it up to another level. Barely managed to get a couple pictures before digging in! What could be better than pho and a baguette!!

Pastry is fresh and very tasty. Baguette is baked fresh and doesn't contain preserves. Service is very prompt and quick bringing your order. The atmosphere is quant and is pretty much mom and pop bakery with cozy feel. Try their surprise pastry in a container for nominal cost.

We had the beef and brisket Pho, and it was served with fresh plate of garnish! Go get some Pho in Pahrump! It won't disappoint! This all that is left!

Beware of buying the Mystery Box Was several miles away before deciding to try one... or I would have gone back and given their burnt cookies

Absolutely delicious pho! The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the meat was fresh and tender. The portion size was generous, and the service was friendly and welcoming. This is one of the best bowls of pho I've had in a long time. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone craving authentic Vietnamese pho!

Best French Bakery in the USA period. As a French native I am so happy I've found this bakery, I'll come back for sure whenever I feel homesick. The baguette are as authentic as can be and the croissants are to die for. We also tried their quiche and fruit tart, all are delicious read more

Stop there a few days ago on our way to Death Valley. We ordered sandwiches, pastries, desserts, macaroons. And EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS. The almond croissant was incredible! I am French, moved to the US a few years ago and I can assure you that it tastes exactly like home. read more

This place is one of those gems you hear about in places you least expect. Driving thru Pahrump, stopping here for lunch was the best decision my companion & I made. We had the tuna sandwiches (they were perfect), macarons (also perfect) & coffee (which to my pleasant surprise, I noticed the lady using filtered water to make). Like wow! I can't say enough about how great the food and service was. We ate outside on their patio area which was clean and comfortable. I wish I could tell everyone driving thru this town to go try this place right now!!! Bread, desserts and coffee were all 5 star. How lucky the people of Pahrump are to have this spot!! read more

Absolutely amazing bread and croissants. Their pastries are lovely, their tarts are some of the best I've ever tasted. Macaroons are as good as what I had in Paris although less flavor choices. The coffee was perfect. Definitely recommend them. read more

Great, cute little respite away from the 100 degree heat! Staying in town to explore Death Valley NP and we were glad to find this little gem owned by a French family. There are barely any sit down cafes in town, and we needed to a place to rest before checking into our hotel. This was perfect and so was my apple tart. read more

This is my third visit to O Happy Bread and definitely not my last. The other two times we got pastries and bread to go. This time I sat at the counter for a proper breakfast. The cappuccino was done perfectly, just like in Europe. The lovely lady working today recommended a ham, egg, and cheese croissant even though it was not on the menu. The croissant was buttery and large with fluffy, well seasoned eggs and just enough cheese without over doing it. I highly recommend this little piece of France in the desert. read more

Having been to Paris myself, I can attest that O Happy Bread is definitely top notch! Every item I've bought from them has been outstanding. I have yet to visit their Pahrump location, but they can be found at the Las Vegas Farmer's Market at Downtown Summerlin. Due to Covid-19, they are there every few weeks, but otherwise, they are there every Saturday from 9am-2pm. I highly recommend this establishment!! read more

Debbie and I decided to go and check out O Happy Bread. For our first time we were both amazed. Even from the outside, they had a very nice place to eat out doors. We went in and bought two flutes and a a brownie. They exceeded our expectations. Absolutely delicious! Everything is made in-house from scratch. Tried the tuna sandwich, Thai soup, chocolate eclair, Palmier, coconut cluster, and a chocolate meringue pastry I can't recall the name of. Every flavor was intense, authentic, and amazing! If you're dining in, they provide real plates, silverware, and cups which I appreciated for sustainability. French tabloids in the (very clean) bathroom just added to the uniqueness of the experience. Wish I had a bakery like this in my town. Highly recommend for breakfast and lunch in Pahrump! read more

Small Gem of a bakery in this little town in Nevada. Not too hard to find located in a nondescript strip mall. The ambience was friendly and the selection was fairly nice for breakfast pastries. We had Allman croissants, cappuccinos, and some samples of the bread. It was all delicious. For four people, the cost came out to about $30, which is a little steep for the area. But for product of this quality, you won't find them elsewhere in Pahrump. read more

I've really enjoyed their soups, sandwiches, deserts and breads. The place is clean, but the ambience is kind of plain, which is also kind of understandable for a newer business starting out and because it's a "Bakery" not a "Restaurant" technically, which was brought to my attention by the thoughtful Owner. The service here can be really slow...last time I stopped in last month, there was only one person here serving customers by working the register. She was trying her hardest running back and forth getting and making hot drinks, bagging and plating food and was clearly overwhelmed. I waited a good 30 to 40 minutes, just to pay for an unheated baguette and a cup of their already heated soup to go. There were only 4 or 5 people in front of me when I got in line that morning. The experience left me irritated to be honest, after waiting 20 minutes... I decided I've wasted so much time already, I'm now determined on getting my Baguette and bowl of Brie and Mushroom soup, which was very rich and delicious re-heated up for dinner later by the way. they should have more staff on hand and this is the reason why I haven't been back for a long time. I don't want to wait like that again. I took off 1 star for very slow service. I wish them success, they obviously have lots of baking talent appreciated by many locals and tourists alike. read more

We stopped in for an early lunch. I had the spinach & goat cheese quiche. It was warm with the perfect balance of spinach and goat cheese. Katherine had the Parisian sandwich (thin slices of ham with swiss cheese on a fresh baked roll with butter). Both items were delicious. We also shared a fresh brewed iced tea. Very tasty treats. We stopped in last week after an unexpected trip to Pahrump. I'll be sure to stop in if I'm ever in the area again! We had a chocolate croissant and an almond croissant which were both delicious, as were the beignets. We also tried another pastry (I forgot the name, but had peanuts and hazelnuts in a cream?) which was amazing. Cute store, very clean and friendly. read more

I suppose I went on an off day since there are so many fabulous reviews about this place, but my experience was sub-par. The girl working the cash register didn't look French, but sure didn't speak English very well- the conversation actually made me feel guilty while trying to explain myself about getting a few extra printed menus for my tourism business. Heard about this place on the Pahrump Facebook page & had to try it. We bought apple & blueberry turnovers, a lemon square & big piece baklava. Everything is fresh & delicious. On a Friday, the lobster bisque was sold out at 3:30-- which was understandable--they close at 4. We will return for sure! It is located in a little shopping center but their signage is damaged and we overlooked it the 1st time. Do yourself a favor and find this place! read more

OUTSTANDING PASTRIES! I mean, possibly the best almond croissant I've EVER had!! I wanted to do something nice for the front desk staff at the Holiday Inn do I went searching for macarons. JACKPOT! If you are looking for a sandwich with meat on it. I highly recommend you don't waste your 10 dollars here.. My roast beef sandwich had 2 very thin and i mean thin pieces of meat. Upon getting home and seeing this i called the store and talked to a manager about it. She said that's bc we use quality products. What?? The roast beef was far from quality with stringy fat. I don't understand for the life of me why people rate this place so good. On a positive note the bread looked good. Don't waste your money folks, buy a loaf of the bread and take it to Subway for the rest. read more

Our third visit. We we willing 1.5 hours on washboard back roads for this reward! Tried 2 sandwiches, pate and caprese. Both were fabulous. If you're parched, get the caprese. Macarons are tasty and a great price. Bring tour mask. 2 tables for dining inside. read more

I absolutely love their almond croissants! Thy are the best I've ever had, light and fluffy with a nice amount of almond paste inside.the outside has a light icing drizzled with fresh sliced almonds on top. Best coffee around the valley too. The food was great and the service was even better! Had a strawberry crepe that was to die for and a salad that was large in portion and super delicious. Some friends and I ate and chatted there for a couple hours and the lady working there was always checking in asking if we needed anything. Overall a cute place with treats you can't find anywhere else around town. read more

I'm sooo happy that there is a yummy French bakery in Pahrump, now I don't have to travel to Vegas. It's a cute, little quaint, clean place w/ outdoor seating. They offer fresh baked baguettes, croissants, pastries, quiche, sandwiches, salads, Coffee, and have a soup of the day. On my visit, I had a yummy lobster bisque, croissant and a dark chocolate mousse cake! Everything was wonderful especially the flaky, crisp, light croissant and the dark chocolate mousse cake. The cake was one of my favorites because it tasted like a dark chocolate Ferrero Roche candy, it wasn't too sweet, and had a nice creamy crispness to it! I would definitely be back to support this local bakery & cafe! If you are ever in this area, you should stop on by and support them! Support your locals! Eat Local!! read more

I really wanted to try the cheddar bagel. I am on the hunt for the perfect cheddar bagel. I used to know where to find them, but then they switched the recipe. I'm looking for a cheddar bagel that actually has cheddar inside it not just on top of it that gets burnt when you toast it. I had one with egg and Swiss on it and then I had another one with butter on it, and there was a lot of butter on it. They were not shy with the butter. These bagels were good. Drive an hour to get them good? No. Good if you live in the same area code...yes., I had a blueberry bagel with honey almond cream cheese to go, and I had it later that day and it still tasted really fresh. The honey almond cream cheese was really good. Had a nice flavor, but the blueberry bagel to me tasted just sweet, but I really wouldn't have been able to tell it was blueberry if there weren't a few blue specks in it. They seem to have a really good menu, but they just don't have the stock and like I said part of that is a me issue because I did go later in the day and this is a small business so I do understand that you don't want to waste product, but... don't say you're going to be open until a certain time and have a really slim selection. I wanted an apple fritter they don't have them but if you go on Friday or Saturday, they'll probably have them, but they don't do them on Sundays. Why have it on the menu if you're not gonna do it every day? And then there's a secret menu that's not so secret which is kind of funny to me written on the dry erase board. It should be the not so secret menu. It's not a huge place, but it has some comfortable looking tables there's games there's a little area with some tumblers made by a local artist , the people who were working were extremely friendly. In all honesty I would've given this place 3.5 stars, but I rounded up to a 4 because I don't think they deserve only a three. The bagels seem fairly priced. Right around $5 for a bagel with cream cheese. For three bagels and a drink plus tip it was about $25.00.

Food is okay, can be much improved. A better choice then others in town for healthy and vegetarian options. Definitely overpriced for simple ingredient menue items. Desserts, I can understand, as they offer fancy & unique options for a small city. Ambiance is casual and relaxed. Service however can use a Greater improvement. I walked in and a couple were waiting for their already placed order. They inquired on the status of their order about 10-15min into me waiting. About 30min waiting for my order theirs was ready. My eggs Benedict took over 45min so by this time I no longer wanted to dine in, got tired of waiting, so I asked for it to go. It was missing Hollindaise Sauce, when asked, she said it was on top of eggs. I could see something like yellow sauce water on the bottom of entire container. You can too in the photo. Which has solidified at this time. Can you see it on the eggs in the same picture? No! So I asked to pay for extra. They took no $, but gave me clarified butter on the side, separate container, and called it Hollindaise Sauce! Can be seen in the same pictur, it has solidified.My friends, please Google Hollindaise Sauce. You will see that it doesn't look like this. It may be thick, but still runny to pour, and the color is off. This was pure melted butter to taste and solid as stick of butter when I got home. I also asked why it took so long with I could see at least 4 employees at 8am with almost no customers. They said 1 employee was new and in training. I guess it takes 1to hold the light bulb, and 3 to screw it in. Oh! And as I asked for compensation or credit, feeling I overpaid especially since at Denny's down the street in same time or less I would have been already ate& done with same dish & actual real Hollindaise Sauce; 2 groups of customers walked in. They egnored me, so the same girl that rang up my order was ringing up a new customer. I ask her again, she looked at me, said yes, and continued with the other guest. Talk about disrespect!!! Word of mouth is still most powerful advertising, especially in a small town as this. read more

I wanted to make this review because I heard this place was closing down. And I just want to say.. Thank god!!! For a place in Pahrump, this place is completely over priced for just ok food. As for the customer service, I've been here quite a few times and a lot of the younger ladies are sweethearts, but there is one lady whose name I know is Jen, and she is possibly the rudest and laziest person, I've ever had the misfortune of being served by. And lastly, although the place looks nice, if you even get a glimpse of the back kitchen area, it looks absolutely disgusting!!! Pahrump will not miss o happy bread, and I sure as heck won't!! read more

What a pleasure to find a real French bakery. It smells of France and the bread is such that it can be found at home. Congratulations for this work and this beautiful shop. Very warm welcome and smiling staff No need to take a plane ticket, just push the door of this shop to travel in France. Quel plaisir que de retrouver une vrai boulangerie Française. Beware of the owner as he likes to lie to cover up his employees actions. It is all fake customer service, not natural. Being the only customer there, it shouldn't take over 40 minutes for 5 employees to complete my order. When asked what took so long, I was told they are training a new hirie. So it takes 4 employees to train 1 new hired employee? SMH No wonder this economy is tanking. I asked for compensation of my time ad a new customer walking in, she looks at me, says 'yes', then ignores me by asking the new customer how she can help them....WTH??? read more

The cook who built my sandwich was a good - they were quick, and DeMarco offered great suggestion for toppings and made sure I had everything I needed, like extra pickles.
