I don't mind overpaying for pastries of quality. The fifteen dollars for two coconut macaroons and one almond croissant is not it. The macaroons had a lovely whisper of crispness on the outside, but even that couldn't save the overly sweet ball of sawdust that it ultimately was. The croissant struck me as one purchased from Costco, sliced lengthwise and smeared with almond past that was yet again, entirely too sweet. This hidden gem makes the hour drive out to Pahrump so worth the trip. I have purchased lots of bread and croissants at the local farmers markets that they attend which includes the Summerlin Farmers Market on Saturdays and now at the Tivoli Village Farmers Market on Sundays. I had been wanting to drive out to their bakery and dine so Friday was the perfect day. We arrived a little after noon and the heavenly smells that greeted us were already prepping my taste buds for a savory lunch. This bakery is all about the food, bread, pastries so the interior is pretty simple. Just the right amount of tables to sit at along with a couple outside for a nice lunch view on a warm day. They feature sandwiches, quiche, pastries, cappuccinos, fresh baked breads and a different soup is featured each day of the week. We were greeted by Lee who was so helpful and kind. I selected the tomato/basil quiche along with a bowl of the soup of the day - Lobster Bisque. My Mom had a bowl of the Lobster Bisque. Lee made sure that we had everything we needed including some sliced french bread to dip into the soup. The quiche was one of the best I have ever tasted. I could not get over how fluffy the eggs were and the basil was so fresh. I would definitely order this again. The Lobster Bisque was also filled with flavor but my only complaint was that I wish it would have been served hotter. I know it is a fine line one walks when making a bisque as it can easily burn but next time I will ask them to heat it a bit more for my taste. Onto dessert, both items ordered had just come out of the oven. We enjoyed a chocolate croissant and a peach crisp. These pastries were moist and flavorful. I am not surprised though as these people really know what they are doing. Anytime I have purchased any pastry, bread, cookie or other item at the Farmers Market I have always been pleased. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. They offer a happy hour with wine and small plates. I will return for this offer and enjoy a nice sunset too! My overall experience was indeed five stars beginning with the service provided by Lee and ending with a full and satisfied belly! read more

Staying close by at an RV resort and read the reviews so we had to stop and check it out. The bread itself is great. Nice quality. Good prices. The ham and cheese croissant however was WAY too greasy. The cheese on top is overkill, in addition to the pats of butter inside the croissant that didn't melt when it was heated up. To start the pastries here are simple and pure and I love that. I ordered the Brie sandwich (bread, butter, and Brie cheese) and a canele. My sandwich was simple and the Brie was buttery and rich. I did ask for a side of preserves or honey to add another level of sweet/ tartness to the cheese. Unfortunately the preserves I got were so old that they were the texture of a fruit snack! I would love to see variation options with this to add apples and honey or their fresh raspberry preservatives to really boost this! Lastly my canele was sweet and tasty- but did not have the traditional crispy outer layer that most do. Overall this bakery is a good addition to your morning! read more

We took the detour to Vegas from CA because reviews from other Yelpers said this place had the best baklava. IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! We agreed it was the best we've ever tried. The chewy chocolate chip cookie was good. The lemon bar was good but hard to judge once you've made the recipe from America's Test Kitchen. The place had locals so that was a good sign. We didn't have stomach space to try the sandwich of the day. We would definitely make that trip again for that baklava. read more

There aren't a lot of restaurants serving Belgian waffles around so I gave theirs a try. The waffle was good; served warm with soft butter. The only problem was with the syrup. Came here to help support a local company. Walking in the smell of fresh bread and homemade pastries waft around in your nose. Everything seems like it's made in house. The pastries and bread they had for sale looked great! But all we really just wanted was an iced mocha coffee. When we ordered the coffee, the lady said no problem. Then we decided to split a ham and cheese sandwich. It was busy in there and it was only her which doesn't allow for the best customer service but we understood. When she brought one iced mocha over, she asked how it tasted as she has never made one before! Did not expect to hear that. Maybe we should have as it is a bakery not a coffee house. It came out okay. When she have me mine, I did ask for a little more chocolate. There wasn't much ice in the drink either. Then she gave us the sandwich, which had been sitting on the table done for a while. It was a cold sandwich with hardly any meat and we paid $6.50 for it! Not worth it at all. Charlotte is the name if the lady who took care of us this morning and what an amazing service! From her greeting of "Bonjour!" to her farewell, she was stellar. The pastries that we ordered and had for breakfast today were very delicious and decadent. I have tried many different French bakeries in Vegas but this place, by far, takes the "oo-lala"! There were other patrons who came in after us and most of them were pick ups. We also found out from Charlotte that they participate every Saturday at the Farmer's Market at Summerlin from 9:00 am to 12:00pm. This review is in regards to the meat and other goodies O Happy Bread was selling during the COVID-19 pandemic. Check your orders as they are substituting items with no notice. I ordered the steak and chop package, chicken package and basmati rice. They substituted ground beef for steaks (which is a lot a lot cheaper item) and substituted fajita chicken strips for for the legs and wings, and they substituted Carolina rice for the basmati rice. I am not happy!!! I contacted oh happy bread and they put it off into their supplier. They are going to swap out the rice but have no intention of making right on the steak and chicken packs. This is fraud and I will not be going back to O Happy Bread. I try to support local businesses as best I can but I will not stand by someone who wants to try and rip me off. read more

Worst experience. Ordered a omelette and breakfast sandwich. Waited an hour for the food. Once we received the food, it was lukewarm and frankly not worth the hour wait for their food. I mentioned how disappointed we were about the food and the manager did not seem to care. Did not even offer us a refund. I spent $30.00 on food that we did not eat. Like I said before in my last review about this great French Bakery we would be back and we did as promised. Our niece Tracy was celebrating her son (our great nephew Matthew) graduation from high school who also played on Pahrump High School baseball team, who are "STATE CHAMPIONS" first time in school history. We decided to stop by purchase some desserts for the party it was a big hit and everyone at the party wanted to know where we bought them, naturally those from out of town had lunch and took some desserts home. We decide to go back for Sunday dinner...O Happy Bread serves dinner three days Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Again the our server Oliver was great, very attentive to all our needs. The ambiance was set for dinner their menu has an outstanding selection and the prices are very reasonable. The portions are healthy and you can tell the chef takes pride on how the presentations presented with every meal. I the owners David and Jocelyn, I hope they continue to serve dinner because the food is something this town needs especially French food. We had dinner with our niece Tracy who's a resident of Pahrump and has visited the bakery for lunch and now dinner. Please make an effort to support your local family business. As we pulled into this parking lot off the main drag in Pahrump and saw the cute little parking lot outdoor eating area (if you're in Pahrump currently you'll know that food spots aren't exactly aplenty...) I thought, "ohh thank goodness for Yelp" and decided it's time to contribute and write another review. Grateful for all the great food this app has found me over the years. We were instantly overwhelmed with glee at the wide variety of beautiful pastries and welcomed by the patient staff. Our coffees were so so but the quiche was amazing. This place is owned by a French couple with an interesting story and they definitely know how to make delicious goodies and bread. Be prepared to wait if you come during typical hours for breakfast and lunch. Some of it may be sold out if you get there later. We were there around 11 am and a lot of the cold pastries were sold out. There are different soups every day. There is indoor seating. The man who took our order is really nice. I definitely recommend them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner to pack for later if you're traveling through Pahrump! The girl at the counter Destiny is sweet, polite and such a hard worker! We found O Happy Bread when we first moved to Pahrump. The French style bread is very good and their patisserie choices are wonderful and just as I remember from my travels. The cappuccino is very European. The iced tea is a pleasant surprise and not run of the mill iced tea. The only problem is finding a time to go when there is no line up at the cash register. I feel fortunate to live near this treasure. We have tried the weekend dinners too. They are great and likely should have a separate review. read more
