Small Gem of a bakery in this little town in Nevada. Not too hard to find located in a nondescript strip mall. The ambience was friendly and the selection was fairly nice for breakfast pastries. We had Allman croissants, cappuccinos, and some samples of the bread. It was all delicious. For four people, the cost came out to about $30, which is a little steep for the area. But for product of this quality, you won't find them elsewhere in Pahrump. read more

I've really enjoyed their soups, sandwiches, deserts and breads. The place is clean, but the ambience is kind of plain, which is also kind of understandable for a newer business starting out and because it's a "Bakery" not a "Restaurant" technically, which was brought to my attention by the thoughtful Owner. The service here can be really slow...last time I stopped in last month, there was only one person here serving customers by working the register. She was trying her hardest running back and forth getting and making hot drinks, bagging and plating food and was clearly overwhelmed. I waited a good 30 to 40 minutes, just to pay for an unheated baguette and a cup of their already heated soup to go. There were only 4 or 5 people in front of me when I got in line that morning. The experience left me irritated to be honest, after waiting 20 minutes... I decided I've wasted so much time already, I'm now determined on getting my Baguette and bowl of Brie and Mushroom soup, which was very rich and delicious re-heated up for dinner later by the way. they should have more staff on hand and this is the reason why I haven't been back for a long time. I don't want to wait like that again. I took off 1 star for very slow service. I wish them success, they obviously have lots of baking talent appreciated by many locals and tourists alike. read more

We stopped in for an early lunch. I had the spinach & goat cheese quiche. It was warm with the perfect balance of spinach and goat cheese. Katherine had the Parisian sandwich (thin slices of ham with swiss cheese on a fresh baked roll with butter). Both items were delicious. We also shared a fresh brewed iced tea. We ordered a lemon tart for dessert. It was a beautifully fresh delicate lemon tart. read more

Very tasty treats. We stopped in last week after an unexpected trip to Pahrump. I'll be sure to stop in if I'm ever in the area again! The girl working the cash register didn't look French, but sure didn't speak English very well- the conversation actually made me feel guilty while trying to explain myself about getting a few extra printed menus for my tourism business. Heard about this place on the Pahrump Facebook page & had to try it. We bought apple & blueberry turnovers, a lemon square & big piece baklava. Everything is fresh & delicious. On a Friday, the lobster bisque was sold out at 3:30-- which was understandable--they close at 4. We will return for sure! It is located in a little shopping center but their signage is damaged and we overlooked it the 1st time. Do yourself a favor and find this place! read more

If you are looking for a sandwich with meat on it. I highly recommend you don't waste your 10 dollars here.. My roast beef sandwich had 2 very thin and i mean thin pieces of meat. Upon getting home and seeing this i called the store and talked to a manager about it. She said that's bc we use quality products. What?? The roast beef was far from quality with stringy fat. I don't understand for the life of me why people rate this place so good. On a positive note the bread looked good. Don't waste your money folks, buy a loaf of the bread and take it to Subway for the rest. read more

Thy are the best I've ever had, light and fluffy with a nice amount of almond paste inside.the outside has a light icing drizzled with fresh sliced almonds on top. Best coffee around the valley too. I'm sooo happy that there is a yummy French bakery in Pahrump, now I don't have to travel to Vegas. It's a cute, little quaint, clean place w/ outdoor seating. They offer fresh baked baguettes, croissants, pastries, quiche, sandwiches, salads, Coffee, and have a soup of the day. On my visit, I had a yummy lobster bisque, croissant and a dark chocolate mousse cake! Everything was wonderful especially the flaky, crisp, light croissant and the dark chocolate mousse cake. The cake was one of my favorites because it tasted like a dark chocolate Ferrero Roche candy, it wasn't too sweet, and had a nice creamy crispness to it! Not quite the french pastries I was expecting. The fruit tarts weren't exactly creamy and the strawberries tasted preserved a bit. They got the chocolate croissant right though. Tiramisu was a disappointment as mine tasted better, it's a simple dessert to get wrong. read more

This place is extraordinary. If you are wondering if you should go- GO! We came here for brunch, so I'll start with the pastries. The croissant was flaky, buttery and fresh. Delicious! The Apple turnover was next. This tasty treat was hot out of the oven. The pastry was light and flaky with a warm center filled with Apple. Not too sweet, just the right balance. On to our lunch snack, half ham and cheese on baguette and half salami on baguette. Also, very delicious. The baguette was crisp on the outside and chewy in the center. Though the sandwiches were not gussied up with lettuce and tomatoes (you can add for .50 each) you wouldn't want to add, unless you want to but it was so good as it came. The tomato and mozzarella salad came with pesto and balsamic vinaigrette. I'm not usually a fan of pesto but this was very good. I am in awe that Pahrump has such a jewel like this place. The owners were in store, baking away with care and pride. It's in the quality of the food! Residents and tourists that come through here should support this mom and pop bakery as the town is very lucky to have them! We will definitely be back! read more

This is a really great bakery with excellent bread and pastries. They serve snacks and coffee and here is where they fall short. The staff inadequate and untrained and menu is too short of meal choices. I've been there three times and will go back as I am willing to take the time. So this Is a pretty new bakery in Pahrump Nevada. I decided to try it out on Tuesday. I bought a fruit tart with a creamy vanilla pudding and fresh fruit on top. It was pretty awesome. I was able to experience a taste of O Happy Bread at the farmers market in Tivoli Village. We were so hungry but there were no restaurants open yet so we saw this cute little vendor with eye popping pastries. So many choices and everything looked so good. I chose the fruit tart which was a really good size. The owners were there and they let us know that they were from Europe. I just came back from Europe last year so I know how good the deserts and pastries are there. One bite of the pastry and it took me right back to Spain. They also have something called Alien Bread. This has pesto inside a fresh baked round loaf of bread. We brought that home to the kiddos. They tore it up. I have not visited the actual location yet but I am excited to do so. This bakery is a must try if you love great food and French baked goods as well as fresh delicious varieties of bread. The staff is very friendly and the bakery is right on Basin close to Mom's diner. The chocolate eclair is delicious as is the apply tart. The Fig and walnut breads are lovely. The prices are reasonable. It just opened and it will have huge success because the baked variety of goods is simply outstanding and really yummy! Great coffee, and their pastries are made daily! Their customer service is top notch. We found them thanks to Yelp, btw, and so happy we did. We stopped in here for a fresh loaf of bread yesterday morning, and the customer in front of us was with her two kids. She convinced us to try the almond croissants(fresh out of the oven-yum!). Trying to find a good place to eat in Pahrump, my mate and I happened upon this place. They were able to make us a couple of breakfast sandwiches even though it was almost lunch time. We also ordered a couple of sandwiches to go for when we would stop in Death Valley. Everything was very tasty! I would definitely recommend this place for the food and bread. The only niggle was the cappuccino I had. It wasn't particularly bad, but it wasn't great either unfortunately. It just tasted kind of weak/watery which was unfortunate because everything else was so good. My mate ordered regular coffee and he had no complaints. We will definitely consider this place again in the future, should we make it through Pahrump again. read more

O Happy Bread? O Happy Pahrump! What a special and delicious addition to this town's food scene! My boyfriend's workout trainer told him about this new spot and we stopped in for a late lunch. We each had an individual ham and bacon quiche and the curry lentil soup. The quiche was heavenly, with a golden just-flaky-enough, tender crust and savory filling - perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We'd never had curry lentil soup before but can't wait to have it again. Bursting with flavor, but not spicy, this soup is my new favorite comfort soup! We also tried their baguettes - fresh and just soooo great! Elliette, delightful and one of the owners, told us she and her family moved here from France and opened O Happy Bread after her husband's recent retirement.
