Lisa, the general manager, was so knowledgable and answered all of my questions that I decided to make the trip to Scranton even though Visionworks has a location in Wilkes-Barre, which is closer. When I arrived Lisa took such special care of me even to the point of finding me such stylish frames that I was looking for. I must also compliment her staff since we asked them their opinion on what frames would look best. All in all, I had a wonderful experience with Lisa and her team. I had told them that one of my coworkers got a different pair and showed them a picture of that pair I found on my phone. I was then told that that pair is also available but they did not currently have one. Then when it was time to pay for my glasses. They told me that I had to pay for them out of pocket and take my receipt to work to be reimbursed by my employer. I took the receipt to my employer and they told me I should not have paid out of pocket and I was not reimbursed. I called Ohora and they told me, that I should not have paid out of pocket but now that I had that there was nothing that they could do. So in the end I had to pay out of pocket for a pair of glasses that were a style I didn't really like.

Good business practices right there. ******UPDATE 7/1/2026****** The company asked me to remove this review because they dislike it, makes them look bad. However, when you deceive someone, you face consequences. This review is one of them. My mother paid for her glasses in full (over $1000) on June 8 because she was told she had to or they wouldn't order them for her. She hasn't received any update about her glasses, whether they're ready, broken, or lost in the wind somewhere. If you want me to remove this review like you have asked so many times, then give my mother the glasses she already paid in full for. It seems that you are punishing her for my review which is extremely sad and a terrible business practice. Your website states it will take 7 to 14 days from the date of the appointment until the glasses are complete which is normal for most places, but it's been almost a month and nothing has changed. When she calls, and she has a few times, to see what is going on, she's told there's an issue with the frames, but it's never specific and she is never given a time frame as to when they will be done. If the frames are the problem and it is taking this long, give her ALL the money she paid you back to her and take the loss or change the frames at no cost to her and right the wrong it has caused. I'm sure you sent a claim to the insurance so you got paid and I know that it's way more than you actually deserve, but my mother got nothing at all for the money she paid you and she still can't see. I am not ok with that and I do not accept your answer of "something is wrong with the frames. Please tell your daughter to take down the review". That is the only thing you are concerned about, people finding out the truth, that you have a shoddy practice that uses deceitful business tactics. Anyway, I am sure she waited long enough for any kind of response from your office, but apparently you and your staff only help people when they don't need it or maybe you only help the people you know. It does not matter to me, my mother does though, she matters to me A WHOLE LOT. So if the glasses are not ready this week, refund all of her money. She can literally go anywhere else and get better care with a better deal. If this is an issue and you do not have the glasses or the refund, then my lawyer can help you find them, he is very helpful in that way. We are giving you until Friday (July 3) then I am calling my lawyer. The choice is yours.

Always a wait. Have a major billing issue and am getting absolutely no help from them. In fact, I…read moreactually had the insurance company intervene and they got no help from them either - they were given 2 non-working phone numbers. I also called Walmart Vision (not the store) and they were AWFUL. Everyone is passing the buck and I'm stuck with a balance bill. The store doesn't step in to help. It's a mess. Will steer clear of Walmart associated vision centers going forward, that's for sure.
