Joke of a company. They have a 3rd party answering service take their calls apparently. Called 2x on 2 different days and no call back. Called a 3rd time and they called me back the following day. After explaining my needs they said they would get back to me with an estimate. NO CALL BACK. They clearly cherry pick their jobs and take the most expensive ones. Nonexistent customer service. I bought a new home and when the dryer was installed, the outlet did not work. I called 8 different electricians and most never even returned my call. When I called O'Koren Electrical, my call was answered right away by Jodie. She listened to me and was able to get an electrician to my house within a few hours. Keith (I think that was his name) was great, very friendly and helpful. He was able to figure out the problem with the outlet (a broken wire) and fixed it with ease. He also tackled another couple small electrical issues I was having (another outlet and recessed light that weren't working). He was in and out in about an hour and was a huge help. Just had them put in six recessed lights in my dining room ceiling. I could not be more pleased.

Very dissatisfied potential customer. I called O'Koren to schedule a quote for a generator. The next appointment they had for a quote was two weeks later. I scheduled it and was given a window of 12:00-1:00PM on a Friday. I scheduled my day around that window. I didn't receive any confirmation email or text so I called the office three times that morning to confirm but there was no answer. I went out and came back at 12:10PM. I called again and was told they already left. Why didn't you call me, I asked? They said we had the wrong number. I asked that they come back and was told, "We'll call him and let him know to come back." Thirty minutes later, I didn't hear anything. I called back and was told, "Sorry, he's out of your town now, he can't come this afternoon." They offered to reschedule in two weeks. Really? They had the wrong number, I never received a confirmation email or text, and even though I let them know 10 minutes after the start of the window that I was back they refused to accommodate. This may not be a fair review since I never got a call back from them, but I feel that in and of itself is telling. O'Koren was one of the most oft-cited electricians on a local FB page and listed many niche services that I need help with in my home, so was my 1st choice to come help with a long list of electrical needs (in-wall speakers, pool lighting, outdoor landscape lighting, installing new recessed lighting, and more). Despite 2-3 emails over the course of a week along with a message left with their answering service, I never got a response. This was two weeks ago. In my last email, I even gave them a gracious way to decline the work should it not be of interest. Extremely disappointing. read more

This company has HORRENDOUS service. We used O'Koren as our electrician for a major master bath remodel. After 3 weeks one of the lights he installed stopped working, and 2 of the recessed lights he installed make a terrible humming noise. Not huge issues, but ones we expected to be fixed quickly. We have been trying to get Joe to come back and fix the problems for 2 months now. He doesn't return calls EVER, makes excuses and gives major attitude when asked why he doesn't return calls. O'Koren doesn't deserve your business and he will certainly not be getting any of ours in the future. Do not hire O'Koren Electrical to work at your house. read more
