Avoid this place. They will try to jack up the price to 60…read moredollars per battery. Not worthy for 3month warranty they give you. Buy new in stores they will give you a 5 year warranty on most batteries.

I have dealt with battery shed for years with no problem. Now I have a little issue and I won't…read moretotally write them off yet but I am upset so I am going to talk my shit. I bought a battery for my husband's truck on yesterday and got it over to the truck and it is the wrong size. I don't live in Charlotte anymore so now I have to drive from Salisbury to to Charlotte to trade it in for the correct battery. I don't know anything about batteries but I knew it looked bigger than the one we had. Now Saturday I get to battery shed to return it at about 1:50pm at the car wash because they are in the middle of moving buildings and they aren't there. So I go to the old location and go back to the front door and this guy won't come to the door to talk to me and just yells they are close. On there websites it shows they close at 4 pm. I am trying to state my case but he isn't trying to hear me so I go back to my car to call and get no answer. I wait about 15 minutes and calls back and he answers and says they are closed and they close at 2pm. I told him I was just there a little before 2 and you told me that y'all were closed and also that it says the website that you close at 4pm. He says the website must have the wrong time and they are closed and open back up on Monday @ 9 am. Now I am heated I have made 2 trips from Salisbury to get this battery and gas ain't cheap. So now I am in limbo until Monday. Wish me luck!

I walked into the Mooresville location yesterday with a battery I purchased from this very store…read morejust two years ago--still well within its 4-year warranty. I had already removed the battery from my vehicle and driven 30 miles to return it. Although I'll refrain from calling out individuals by name, I was immediately told that the battery needed to undergo a 24-hour test to determine whether it would hold a charge. Then I was asked, "What do you want to do?" I explained that my truck was stranded and that waiting 24 hours simply wasn't an option. My concern received no meaningful response. Instead, my only choice presented was to purchase a new $270 battery while the original one was being tested. I was warned that if I installed the new battery, it would be considered "used" and non-returnable. I explained that this put me in a no-win situation, and only then was I told I might receive a refund if the original battery failed the test. To avoid being stuck with a non-returnable battery, I borrowed a car overnight and waited for the test results. When I called the next morning, I was told they never actually performed the test because they "have to take the batteries off the chargers when they leave for the night." Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience this caused, the employee launched into a long explanation of store policies and excuses. When I explained that I had borrowed someone else's car because of the misinformation I was given, I received a half-hearted "sorry"--delivered with an attitude that made it clear they didn't care. When I said I still felt I was being misinformed, the employee replied, "I resent that insinuation, and I need to take care of another customer." Then he hung up on me. After driving 30 miles, being misinformed, having my time wasted, being left without my own vehicle, and receiving dismissive and unprofessional treatment, I can confidently say this has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had.
