I walked into the Mooresville location yesterday with a battery I purchased from this very store just two years ago--still well within its 4-year warranty. I had already removed the battery from my vehicle and driven 30 miles to return it. Although I'll refrain from calling out individuals by name, I was immediately told that the battery needed to undergo a 24-hour test to determine whether it would hold a charge. Then I was asked, "What do you want to do?" I explained that my truck was stranded and that waiting 24 hours simply wasn't an option. My concern received no meaningful response. Instead, my only choice presented was to purchase a new $270 battery while the original one was being tested. I was warned that if I installed the new battery, it would be considered "used" and non-returnable. I explained that this put me in a no-win situation, and only then was I told I might receive a refund if the original battery failed the test. To avoid being stuck with a non-returnable battery, I borrowed a car overnight and waited for the test results. When I called the next morning, I was told they never actually performed the test because they "have to take the batteries off the chargers when they leave for the night." Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience this caused, the employee launched into a long explanation of store policies and excuses. When I explained that I had borrowed someone else's car because of the misinformation I was given, I received a half-hearted "sorry"--delivered with an attitude that made it clear they didn't care. When I said I still felt I was being misinformed, the employee replied, "I resent that insinuation, and I need to take care of another customer." Then he hung up on me. After driving 30 miles, being misinformed, having my time wasted, being left without my own vehicle, and receiving dismissive and unprofessional treatment, I can confidently say this has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. read more

Batteries, bulbs and even flashlights are for sale here. Tommy is super friendly and has had to help me out a couple of times with the car remote. Car remote batteries will vary on prices. About a year ago was given an option of a one time purchase approx. ten dollars and change or a lifetime purchase for twenty. Knowing we use remotes like crazy at times went with the lifetime purchase thinking no-brainer. The lifetime purchase was a smart move and was to my benefit about a week ago. For three days my life was turned upside down the remote would not work properly. Trying to unlock the car by remote nothing. Using the key to unlock door to the car would set off the car alarm, then using the remote to shut off alarm would open the trunk automatically? Obviously I would have to close the trunk before getting in the car every single time! Think Groundhog Day not kidding. Arriving at the store the alarm was making a ton of racket. Tommy was nice enough to come outside take my keys and shut the damned thing off while I closed the trunk again. Tommy fixed the remote letting me know the insides get jiggled sometimes. So happy for his help twice. His service was friendly and free of charge. Pretty sure the neighbors are thanking him. read more

I came in to have my watch battery replaced and before I could get home the watch wasn't working. I took it in to a jeweler to look at it and was advised that it was missing a piece that fits under the plate that holds certain parts in place therefore caused it to stop working. Can't tell you if that was done on purpose or just oversight either way I won't be going back. Update....I did go back in to see if by chance that missing part might be hanginng around and I was fortunate enough to get help from an employee that was extremely helpfUl and understood the big picture. And yes the part was there and he put it in and yes my watch works! This experience undoubtedly added unnecessary stress and hassle due to one knucklehead that just happen to be but I give the store full credit for correcting themselves and making it right. read more

Great customer service!!!! I've been to Batteries Plus before but not this location and both times I was impressed with the customer service. Batteries Plus literally have not failed me yet for hard to find batteries and/or just the convenience of getting in and out. I needed a battery for my Infiniti key fob and was going to go to the dealership to get it replaced but then I remembered Batteries Plus. I first called them to see if they replaced key fob batteries and they said they did. I asked the associate on the phone how long it would take and he jokingly said less than 30 seconds if you come today and less than 35 seconds if you come next week lol...he basically was saying he would have me in and out. The associate was right I went in and was quickly greeted and had my battery replaced before my car engine turned warm and out the door I went. He also told me that in January they will start selling replacement key fobs and will be roughly half the price of what the dealership charges. I've had my key fob for a while and have been a little rough on it so much so that one of my buttons is missing (don't ask me how) so I was happy to hear that I could go to Batteries Plus for a replacement and not get ripped out by the car dealerships. I would definitely consider Batteries Plus first for any battery replacement. They have other products as well. You also don't have to worry about huge lines and long waits. This location was easy to find on River Hwy. I will definitely be back. read more

I've visited the store because I had a problem with some of my technical devices. The guys there quickly got to me and took care of my needs. They found any discounts they could apply to my final check out. In all I saved over $40 the first time and the second time closer to 50. I would recommend anyone going to see Steve and the boys down at batteries+bulbs in Mooresville across the street from Wells Fargo on 150. I guarantee your satisfaction. read more

Let me save you a bunch of time and come here first! i was at a big box home improvement store for over an hour looking LED tube bulbs, only to find out they only have florescent tube replacement bulbs. This type of bulb is designed to keep the balast intacked. I drove across the street and these guys ha. d exactly what I needed, (balast bypass) LED bulbs, and a 3 way LED BULB. Staff was very helpful. i would of give them 5 stars, but i was looking for a bulb for my Milwaukee flashlight and i didnt have the old bulb. A cross reference chart would be helpful. I will use these guys for all my bulb needs. One other note, make sure you know how to do a proper "balast bypass", If not, contact a electrician. read more
