I'll start by saying I'm not a regular customer at O'Reilly's. But, today I needed a new battery…read morefor a generator at my folk's house. The battery that had been in their unit was actually from Advance Auto, so I went there first. Advance not only didn't have on in stock, they didn't have one available within their online inventory. Basically, the Covid pandemic has interrupted their supply chain. Anyway, O'Reilly's is immediately next store, so I gave them a try. Initially, I got the same response (none on hand and none in the online inventory). But the young man working the counter asked where the battery was used. I told him about my folks needing it for their emergency generator. I mentioned that my mother requires oxygen and needs power for that system. The young man then went in the back and one by one carried 5 different batteries out to the counter for comparison. Ultimately, he found a perfectly suitable substitute that actually provides more cold cranking amps than the original. This was a example of exceptional customer service. I'm adding this store to my list of favorites. On a side note, their pricing is very similar to competition making customer service more important to earning and keeping customers.

I returned it on 04/24/25,re-installed it on my truck. 05/25/25 half way to work it smelled like my truck was on fire. I'm sick of paying high prices for junk parts. I will never darken another O'Reilly auto parts doorstep. 90% of the parts I've bought in the past 2 years have been absolute junk. Do better or shut down. You're as bad as advance auto parts. The people that work at these places deserve better. They're the ones catching everyone's hatred.
