I'm not from here and needed major help. I got my car repaired and they told me I needed a new donut. Nelson went above and beyond. I was running all over town trying to find a spare tire. He looked up one to order but no luck. The internet crashed and he went to the office to continue his search with still no luck. I once got an alignment at this shop. The service was great affordable and quick. However, when I tried making small talk about my experience with the prior shops I had been to with the guy who took my money, he was a complete d**k imo.. and I wish I got his name. I said jokingly "you oughta hear what I've been through with this vehicle" and he was like "I'd rather not. Your total is blah blah blah.." .. and okay.. fine.. but it has really stuck with me and every time I drive by I can't help but think of that experience. I was only trying to shed light on how much better his shop was in comparison to other shops who tried to charge me hundreds and hundreds of dollars for the same service when his shop only charged less than 100$ for the alignment I got that day. Idk if he was having a bad day or what but you get more flies with honey even if you're providing excellent care for the vehicles that come in. Cashiers and front office folks should WANT to hear compliments and pass them on to everyone. I guess he didn't that day? read more

I arrived in the good town of Hendersonville quite recently. I came from the desert of Tucson and not used to the changes in environment that the move brings. And so when the temperature reached 32 degrees the other day and the light came on to check tire pressure...... hmm! I was not sure where to go as I will not go to gas stations to check my tire pressure. My neighbor advised me to go to Tire Pros and I am glad I went. No problems the owner said. He checked tire pressure, added air and I was on my way. I highly recommend this company and if I did have a problem with any of my tires, that is where I shall go. Courteous, fast service and as I am a woman who travels alone throughout the US, I was treated with respect which is important these days. Always great customer service! The owner is very friendly as well as the counter and service staff. The prices are good and I always feel confident when I leave there. There's never a thought of being screwed over. It's also very nice to know you're supporting a local business. The only thing I don't like is not being able to setup appointments. Fantastic place to do business! I went online in the early morning to get tire price quotes from several "tire stores" and was pleasantly surprised to get a phone call from the owner within an hour. He was out of town and explained that their computer system was not functioning correctly so he couldn't provide me with an online quote. I will never take my car anywhere but Downtown Tire Pros for anything tire related. I am so thankful I heard about this place. I took my car to a mechanic in Asheville called Pro Automotive and they took two days to figure out what was wrong (a Honda 2007 civic defect that causes uneven wear and tear on tires) and quoted me $2,200 to replace all my tires, my control arm, all my shocks, do an alignment and replace my battery. I told a coworker the situation and he recommended Downtown Tire Pros. I spoke with Nelson over the phone and he knew exactly what the problem was just by what I described to him, when the other mechanic took two days to figure out the problem! He knew exactly the defect that occurred in my year and model and so of course I took it in to them for a second opinion and they did literally everything that needed to be done for only $870. Apparently my shocks did not even need to be replaced, and Downtown Tire Pros was the only place honest enough to not try to trick me into paying for parts and labor that was completely unnecessary. They also were so quick! I took my car in on a Tuesday and even with having to order specific kits for my car that had to be shipped to them my car was fixed and ready to go by Wednesday evening. It was only in the shop for two days, when another mechanic took an entire two days just to figure out what was wrong without even beginning to work on the car. I cannot recommend this place enough, everyone I spoke with was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. I especially can't emphasize enough how helpful Nelson was with everything. I really trust them because of this experience and I will not take my car anywhere else unless it's an issue that they don't deal with. read more

This is the place to go! I'm currently on a contract job in Hendersonville and noticed my tire had a leak. I was at the mercy of Google and I noticed this place had excellent reviews. I stopped by there this morning. In addition to fixing my tire I asked them to rotate and do an alignment. They gladly fit me in and had my car done an hour and a half before they quoted.
