The technician pointed out that everything under the hood had been therally cleaned but there was still evidence of leaking in the Joses and gaskets that were attached to to major components of the vehicle. Long story short the vehicle needs roughly $2000 in repairs. After reviewing the code in her 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, the car needed a new engine, and it was a recall. Initially, the service team provided excellent service. We paid nearly 2,000.00 for suggested service surrounding an engine replacement. We live 3 hours from this location and when it was ready, we drove to pick it up. When we drove about 17 miles, the check engine light came on again, so we called and they told us to drive it back. After reviewing the code, we were told it was the catalytic converter and that had nothing to do with the recall. We were told it was safe to drive home and if there were any issues, we could take it to the local dealership, and the engine issue would be covered. When we got home, we took the vehicle to a local mechanic to check the converter. They called me in and told me to stop driving it immediately. The manifold cover was damaged, and oil was leaking all over the place. I called Taylor Hyundai, and after multiple attempts, by phone and text, from both my daughter and I, I finally got a call back. I was told to take it to my local Hyundai Dealership. So, I did, and I was told by service it was not their problem and only the dealership that did the work can look at it for free. So began my journey of trying to reach Taylor Hyundai. It's been almost 2 weeks. Between my daughter, my wife, and I, we have left several messages and cannot get ahold of anybody but service. Every number they transfer us to goes straight to voicemail. We have received no call backs after leaving several messages. No texts responding to a call back. This is the most terrible service I have ever received by any company. Then the check engine light came on once again and we again fixed what the issue was through the different series of codes it showed. For a third time the check engine light has come on and we were not able to see what more codes there were and it became where the car felt unsafe to drive. My husband scheduled an appointment to discuss that we no longer willing to pay payments on a vehicle that was what we believe to have been deceivingly sold to us. My husband had gone in with the intention of discussing the situation of issues that seemed to be continuously popping up and dicuss a possible trade in. The salesperson was very understanding and was doing the best he could as just a salesmen and of course he'd need to speak with the general manger and the service department. Now this is where our experience went VERY downhill. When the car had been taken into the service shop MORE codes showed up that I quote "multiple codes that were not there and hiding behind the other codes.". Which seems to my husband were codes that had been hidden or erased. Then the General Manger came out to speak with my husband, honestly he didn't even speak with my husband. What my husband encountered with this employee was absolutely unprofessional, disrespectful and arrogant. Not only was my husband not be able to directly share our needs with this employee but was denied a handshake when he went to introduce himself, had LAUGHTER and SMIRKING thrown in his face when I quote the GM stated "You can either go test drive the car you need and be flexible with your payments or leave in what you showed up in and hope it doesnt break down on the way home.". The GM didnt even have the decency to even SHAKE my husband's hand when my husband decided to leave. My husband himself had to reach out and shake the employee's hand. This dealship on the Subura side is being managed by a very disrespectful and unprofessional GM that finds it appropriate to LAUGH, SMIRKE at a customer, and not shake their hand when they came to speak about trading in a previously bought vehicle that didnt even last TWO MONTHS before throwing out code after code after code. As a customer that came in with a calm and willing to work with them to trade in a car that they bought from them with of mechanical issues and asking for a solution but instead was met with the above encounter is..honestly dont even have words for it, especially when the customer tried to end the whatever the hell you'd call that appointment by simply reaching out for a handshake and then was refused that handshake.
