First time I went i was quoted a different price then when I got there. Took 2 days just for someone to call me and tell me what was wrong with my van. Then when I picked it back up it was making a new noise and the guy tried to act like he didn't hear the noise. So I said forget it and went home. Called back the next morning because of how it was driving. Tried to speak to Mr Rick because he is who told me to only speak to him but when I asked yo speak to another person that would listen to my concern I was then hung up on. I have been using Gate 2 for a couple of years for almost all of my auto service. Normally you need to schedule an appointment but if you're in pickle they will go out of their way to help. These guys did a great job when installing new tires on some new wheels I got. They cared about my property and called me to come down to the shop and remove some accent pieces that I had hydro dipped because they didn't want to mess them up. My car needed to have the brakes replaced so my husband called and made an appointment for 8:00 am the next day. Instead of driving the car there in the morning we decided to drop it off the day before the appointment due to how bad the car was. My husband is in the military and I had to work so we really needed the car back quickly. Since we dropped the car off so early and the brakes needed to be fixed, we were told it should be done by lunch. When I drove by the place on my way to work (around 12:00 pm), the car was still parked in the same spot from the day before. We didn't hear anything from them all day. My husband finally called and asked when the car would be ready and they said before they close. We went at 5 pm and they were still working on the car. How is it that you've had the car for almost 24 hours and you are still working on it? If I have to make an appointment (especially for something this small) there is no way it should take all day to fix. The customer service is awful, whomever answers the phone needs to know what they are talking about and not be short when asked questions. I will never bring my car here again. I would recommend going to ATC. read more

I dropped my var off to have lower control arms replaced. All parts were available and in trunk. Was told car would be done same day. Called early afternoon to check progress and was told may not be completed but was started. Stopped on my way home to check and car wasnt even started. Scott lied to me. I took car home that evening with work not done. Following week went by for an oil change. When done got in car to find the unused portion of a quart of oil on the passenger carpet. Why would you put an oily bottle inside the car and not the trunk area as instructed. On my way to work next morning the engine under cover was dragging on the ground, Hanging by one screw and two other dangling in place and not screwed unto place as should be and one fastener completely missing. They did fasten it back in place but how we will alsee when I go back to using the dealer. When I got my key back they had the balls to say"sorry it didnt stay up for you" like it was my fault it wasnt reinstalled correctly. Stay away from this place at all costs!!!!! read more

This shop is a perfect example of a place that I've driven by for years and never went in. I decided one day to finally try this place out after getting tired of going to Jiffy Lube or the dealership. Three years later and I'm still coming to this shop for regular maintenance. The prices here are good compared to other shops in town and the store will work around your schedule. I needed all four tires replaced on my car, and stopped by in the morning prior to going to work. The owner told me to come back during my lunch break so they could grab the exact tires I wanted from their warehouse. I came back during my break and no long after, I had a complete set of new tires plus an oil change complete and enough time to get back to the office. The shop features a convenient waiting area that is kept tidy with plenty of chairs. Overall, this is a great car maintenance shop located in Grovetown. read more

Had them replace four golf cart tires. They were very responsive and got them replaced quickly. Had an issue with one tire leaking around the bead. Called and was asked to bring it back so they could look at it. They were still very pleasant, explained what the likely problem was, and got it fixed very quickly. I would rate 10 stars if I could! My vehicle was experiencing extreme shaking during 65 mph travels indicating an alignment issue. After getting the runaround on diagnostic costs from a few other auto shops including my dealership, Gate 2 gave me more than I ever expected in the form of integrity. What could have easily been a pricey sale to them was only a fraction of the previous quotes. They offered an inspection and only fixed what was needed. As a woman, I am extremely skeptical of auto shops after being overcharged time after time around this area. I usually leave places like this feeling angry and screwed over but this time I felt like crying tears of happiness. My loyalty will be with this shop for as long as I live in Augusta. my friends car broke down so we towed it to them and called em the next morning. the sales clerk i talked to told us they don't do any work till its estimate is approved. i dropped the keys off that same morning. two days later and 2 phone calls later i get called back from my friend that the car is done and the bill is @ 600$. we never got an estimate. they didn't reduce the cost. the next day the check engine light came on, which wasn't a problem before. IMO they saw out of town plates and took my friend to the cleaners. I tell everyone i meet to avoid them. read more
