The check engine light on my truck kept coming on and going off for about a week, so I booked an appointment online and brought it in for diagnosis. Nate and his team diagnosed the problem and repaired it within 3 hours. Nate was super friendly and had a pleasant personality. They even test drove my truck when they were done and the guy noticed some other issues that need addressing at some point; Nate was nice enough to let me know they aren't urgent and invited me back whenever I want to address them. Great Customer Service!!!! First of all if your in a hurry this is definitely the place to go!! You pull in and stay in your car while a technician and team keeps you abreast of everything happening during your oil change. They check your headlights, brake lights, turn signals and make sure your horn definitely honks during their safety checks!!! The oil change is done fairly quick, they top of all your fluids, and check your air filter and wiper blades amongst other things. It's a definite plus that they offer a military discount!!! Our service technician happened to be a fellow Navy Vet!!! He was very pleasant and offered service with a smile. He informed of us of their other services should we need them and inquired about our tire rotation but it wasn't quite that time for us. Great service. So professional! These guys are the definition of fast friendly service! They don't jerk you around and only recommend what's in your owners manual. I find getting keeping up with my cars maintenance to be quite the chore but the staff here makes it really easy to get in and out. You don't have to get out of your car and endure the waiting game in a tiny waiting room with outdated magazines and a tv stuck on a local news loop. Instead, you stay in your car, forget about going through the hassle of taking a sleeping baby out of the car seat, play some Words With Friends and let them do all the work while you wait. Shamefully, I've never owned a car with more than 16,000 miles on it so I've never ever had to do much maintenance on a vehicle in 16 years. This was the first year I've hit 20,000 miles and had no clue what that entailed. Fortunately, they walked me through what was recommended in my owners manual and got everything done lickety split. After finding out my usual place for getting my oil changed was booked I called around the Augusta and Evans areas to find out what my other options were for getting an oil changed on short notice. A few places told me they didn't schedule but they did have a "first come, first serve" policy which meant that they weren't able to confirm they would have the vehicle back to me before closing. Ugh. My friend needed her car back that afternoon, we were taking a trip out of town and her car needed a change. So, I continued my Yelp search and came across Express... at first I thought it might be too good to be true, a ten minute oil change? Then I decided that even if they had a bunch of people waiting I could at least gauge from the lines how long it might take. They were a little busy but I think that it only took about half an hour from the time I decided to leave my home in Martinez to arriving back at my home. The staff were friendly and super knowledgeable. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of. And, on a cold day like it was, I was glad that I got to stay in the car. The service was a little more expensive than where I normally take my car, but they took infinitely less time to finish. Amazing. Something to note for first timers, like me, you just pull up to the garage and get in one of the lines for servicing. You don't have to go inside the building for anything and if you get in the "wrong" (in so much as, who might be done faster) lane, someone will be to your window and will let you know which lane you should be in. All in all, this was a great experience... and though I have deep loyalty to where I've gone for the past three years... I might even consider coming here with my own car in a pinch. read more

So first the pros: They seem to have a knowledgeable staff and try to work with you to make sure you are happy. They also allow you to bring your own parts and they will still do the work...this is almost unheard of for a national chain. The cons: They are WAY over priced on parts (like 250%). If you bring your own parts they charge more for labor (+$10/hr). They are very pushy with replacing more than needed. I went in for 1 tire and the guy refused to give me a price on anything but all 4 (was not needed as the tires were less than 1 yr old). Same goes for another repair, they wanted to replace both control arms when only 1 was bad (according to their own mechanic). End of the day I took my vehicle to my usual shop as they were almost half the price and using OEM parts. They then charged me $25 for a consultation. ....NOT IMPRESSED. read more

They don't try to upsell you on things that you don't need, they just provide fast, excellent service. There is nowhere else that I go to get my car serviced. Every time I come to Express. Top notch. Note: In my original review, I noted that I go to the dealership for my scheduled maintenance. The manager, Eric, replied to my review as follows (incidentally, I drive a Honda, but I'm sure it applies to any car you want to bring in. Probably even that Saturn that you just cant let go of!): Can't thank you enough for such well thought out and sincere compliments! They may, or may not have informed you of our service department and what services they perform/offer. Just want to be sure you knew that we not only have a kind mannered, well organized oil change, but we also have a full service mechanical department. We have at least 2, possibly 3 A.S.E. Master Certified technicians. Express Oil & Tire Engineers, Evans, GA. I spoke with the manager on Friday, August 27, 2021, about brake repairs. I was told to make an appointment and they would check it and give an estimate. Made an appointment online with THE OPEN SLOTS AVAILABLE for Saturday, August 28, 2021. Their website clearly stated "No more waiting in line or sitting in lobbies until it's your turn to take get your auto services completed. Once you make your appointment, we'll hold a spot for you." I made an 8 AM appointment. Arrived at 7:45 and dropped off the car. By 10:30 AM there had been no communication as to the issue, so we stopped by the shop to inquire. The car was still sitting parked where it had been left. My husband spoke with Manage Jason Atterton. His comment was, "We haven't gotten to it, do you not see those cars left from yesterday?" Certainly, we did see cars being worked on but had made an appointment and had not been told anything different when the car was left. As we tried to find out WHEN it would be looked at, Jason Atterton turned and retrieved our keys and handed them to us with NO explanation The absolute rudeness and unprofessional of this MANAGER was shocking! I then picked up the manger's business card to write a review and one of 2 employees sitting up at the desk chatting said under his breathe, if she wanted service, she should have taken it to a dealership and waited two months." AGAIN, totally unprofessional! The car was taken to another service that happily worked us in. Express Oil not only lost a $700 repair job but our continued business. We have used this company many years in several states. I contacted Eric Hardiman, owner, of Express Oil, Evans and Express Oil at the Village of Riverwatch, Augusta through the Augusta Chamber of Commerce website to speak with him directly. He has yet to reply so I must assume he doesn't care about his business and condones the action of his manager. The expectation IS that a business follows their own guidelines, cares for the customers and performs the task. Apparently, this business could not do that! Excellent service. A bit pricey but for the convenience and pleasant interaction with the staff, it's worth it. They seemed to be very honest not trying to oversell or convince me that I needed something I didn't. First time my air filters were acknowledged, I don't know what they're called but they are "reusable" and every other shop I've been to including the dealership has told me that I need new ones. You're also able to go in periodically between oil changes for fluid top offs including the oil up to 1 quart at no charge. When I drove up, yes you literally drive up and sit in your car and they do it in like 15 minutes, they took the time to educate me on what my car needed and more impressively, what it didn't need. When I was in Virginia Beach, I went to three different places that said they had it, only to show up and be turned away!!
