The district manager I spoke with about these and other issues tried to make the brake pad issue into my fault. I kept telling him the wrong pads were in the wrong box because the part number did not match the pads. Even sent him a picture. All he kept saying was I had told them the wrong information when I got the pads. He said he did not care that the wrong pads were in the box. All he was concerned about was trying to put the blame on me that I got the wrong pads. It is very obvious that no one in the Autozone company cares about the customers. Either they do not have the basic parts in stock, none of the employees open boxes to check to see if the part in it matches the part number on the box, and if the wrong part is in box they will tell the customer it is the customers fault even if the part and the part number on the box do not match.

I found it after he left. After explaining what kind of wheels my car had, I was sold a unit that he recommended and it damaged the wheels. They advertised a free engine light check yet refused to do one. To replace a side marker light a clerk said he could not do it because the bumper had to be removed. Went home and pulled it up on internet and all it required was prying off the light cover. An associate said she couldn't replace my headlight bulb because she said her hands were too fat. So glad O'Reilly's opened up right across the street!

It was truly refreshing because he was not pushy and on top of that he listened and got your questions answered promptly. He is the ONLY reason I purchased from this dealership. The not so good - this dealership prides themselves on their 180 point inspection the only problem is that there were things that were found by my husband and I that should have been caught by the service department when they performed this 180 inspection. Things they failed to find: 1) cruise control does not work 2) overhead lights not working 3) vehicle has 150,000 miles on it and they refuse to change the timing belt 4) passenger door lock will not work/lock 5) one of the engine/radiator fans loose 6) clips in several areas in the engine compartment are missing One of the managers was bragging about this inspection BUT if your service department can't repair these items but yet they say they did this inspection you just may want to clean house in the service department because they are really making your dealership look bad. She has taken her car to Steve Padgett's at least 5 times for repairs (we live over an hour away). A couple days after each visit the lights come back on. She has had to get it towed twice since she bought it. They told her not to contact them anymore about her car when it's their fault for selling her a piece of trash car. We will never be coming back to Steve Padgett's because of how they have handled us. I advise whoever is looking to buy a car from here to look somewhere else.

Me and my brother went to Advanced Auto Parts recycling oil (aka making you a profit) when this person intentionally backs his truck unreasonably close to our car blocking the driver from getting in. He walks out nonchalantly and would have walked right passed me until I address why he is so close. He addresses me with an attitude that I should park upfront and when I inform that we are dropping off oil he responds very much irritated that he has nothing better to do. Which I agree with if he takes the time to be so petty as to block off someone from their car and throw a fit. Can no longer drive the vehicle because the 45 day temporary registration expired. Received a text stating tag was on the way. Week later, it still is not on the way. Contacted the DMV and they still haven't put in for the EVR (electronic vehicle registration). So, after being lied to and given the runaround I have had to contact legal services. Avoid buying a vehicle from them at all costs.

I have brought my Prius in for service many times but after a 5 year hiatus in Florence we moved back to Irmo area. I have to say I thought the Florence Toyota prices were high but come to find out Jim Hudson was even higher. We are talking near $185 for oil change and tire rotation. I know there is inflation but this is unexceptable, way over priced for these services. I was stupefied and not willing to be duped like this again so I took my Prius to Steve Padget Honda across the street over bridge. It felt wrong but oil and tire rotation for $146 which is still high but lower. Apparently this Prius cost more because the starting rate is $68 for oil, one of downsides to hybrids. I use to have no problems with service costs at Jim Hudson, perhaps in time they will decrease again.
