Got a battery jump elsewhere and went to O'Reilly where Scott was the only staff person there as they were short handed. When another staff person was putting in my battery, she had trouble and even tho Scott was busy, he very graciously took a look for me and corrected what she did and got it in correctly. They were getting a LOT of foot traffic because Auto zone was closed and yet Scott was patient with every customer and got to me as soon as he could. Another employee told me they didn't have corrosion fluid to put on terminals, but when I asked Scott, he got some and put some on for me. Great customer service, Scott! Thank you!! read more

I came to get some electric connectors at the store in Lafayette, CO, when I checked out, I realized that one of those connectors wasn't the right one as it was hanging from the wrong display, I told a guy by the name CARSON, that I didn't need that one but that I was taking the other 4, this insolent guy asked me to go place it back on the shelf saying that I was rude by not doing it, I asked to speak to the manager and claimed he was the manager. I can't imagine people returning items having to go re-stock them, this guy has no manners and particularly no common sense, will contact the Corporate Office and start buying from Autozone which is just across the street, beware! I feel for other employees of this store who had been great over the years, BTW, the guy said he didn't care if I send a complain/ review so here goes. read more

I just wanted to let Frank the GM for store #828 know that I had the best customer service and care from a very helpful staff member, Chad. On Friday October, 16 at 5:22pm I needed to do a master cylinder clutch bleed service on my sister's car so I went to the nearest Autozone and was kindly greeted by night shift MOD. I recognized the young gentleman that helped me previously on selecting the right fluids for my sister's car. Chad was very helpful on locating the purge valve and assisted me on the procedure to bleeding the master cylinder clutch. I can't thank the staff enough for the flawless customer service and care and I couldn't have done it without the well trained staff at this particular Autozone. Despite the low price guarantee listed below on their website, this location would not price match and exact model for model products showing available at the nearby Walmart. I preferred to shop here rather than Walmart, however they were $8 to $10 higher than all other retailers with this product. I've pasted the following from their website. The woman at the counter here was outrageously disrespectful to me, and refused to help me with my problem. If you want the ability to refund an auto part that you never used, don't come here, she will not let you. I will not be coming back here any time soon, and I recommend the same to everybody else. read more

Didn't advise me that he charged me for grease. He just handed to me with the light bulb that I went in there to get.

Ordered online parts from O'Reilly. Waited 4 days for the delivery, and although I had entered my vehicle info correctly, 1 of the three parts did not fit. Turns out there is a separate adapter needed, that the online program missed. Called the store at 1285 Public Rd, and was told they did not have the adapter, and I would have to order it online. Called customer service, and they transferred me to Colorado Springs, which is a store 2 hours away, instead of to the one which is in Lafayette only 10 minutes way. Colorado Springs store said the part was in Aurora and the Lafayette store could indeed order it to their store by tomorrow. Called customer service back, and they did not even know the part number I needed , I had to look it up for them. In total, I would be paying more for their part plus the adapter than if I had just gone to Harbor freight. Well, that's what I am going to do. O'Reilly really has terrible customer service. They don't care about wasting your time, and then charging extra for parts that should have been included. Thought I would give them a chance, but sorely regret that mistake. I will be taking the useless part back for a refund. read more

This morning, my car battery died in a parking lot on the corner of Public and S. Boulder Roads. I had bought the battery two years ago at the Autozone across S. Boulder, so I walked over there. I told the my issue and asked if they had a portable battery assessor that they could walk over to my car to check it out. They told me that they could not do that for me, but that once a guy came back from making a delivery, they might. I then walked over to O'Reilly on the opposite corner. They first told me the same thing, that they couldn't take the machine off property. However, the man at the counter went to ask his co-worker, and he agreed to drive over and help me out. He drove over, checked my battery, jumped it, then followed me over to Autozone, where I had bought the battery and still had it under warranty. Even though I had to get my new battery at Autozone, I would totally recommend taking your auto needs to O'Reilly, based on their more personal customer service, and I plan on doing that in the future! read more

I have always trusted O'Reilly and frequent the store in Boulder, however, when I attempted to buy chains at the Lafayette location I was unpleasantly surprised. I was not greeted by any employees and when I finally found two employees just standing around ignoring customers, they talked down to me, making me feel very unwelcome and quite frankly degraded. I immediately left and went across the street to AutoZone where I was welcomed by friendly and eager staff. My advise to you: skip O'Reilly and go straight to AutoZone. read more
