I made an appointment online, it was easy and able to make it within next few days. I was given a time frame from noon to 5 pm, received text message alerting mee to name of technician and that he'd be arriving in 15-20 min, which was approximately 12:20 pm. There were add ons placed onto my order which made our repairs, more than I anticipated on paying. I was able to make the necessary changes, repairman was able to update my order and only needed to pay my automobile insurance deductible. The repairman was able to replace my windshield in about 30 min, it was an expeditious replacement process and would recommend using them again. read more

I've been to this location many a time and have always left a happy and satisfied customer. Recently I discovered that my windshield was leaking when it rained/snowed. Turned out that the factory glue adhered to the top of my windshield was failing. Double boo as I confirmed there was no manufacturer recall for this issue. After hours of calls with the insurance company - who finally decided they would not cover the repair as it was due to "normal wear and tear" I turned to Safelite to see what affordable options existed. They were straightforward and honest. They could provide me with a new windshield (quote was provided), or remove the current one and if it didn't' break in the process (which is what often happens) they could reaffix it. Thank the heavens Simon worked his magic today! He removed the old windshield in one piece, polished it (seriously - it's the best I've seen out of it since I bought the vehicle), and reinstalled it. This turned my Monday frown completely upside down. Highly recommend this company and team for all your auto window/windshield needs. read more

While no one enjoys having a rock crack their windshield, I am very pleased with our experience at Safelite Auto Glass in Boulder. After a long road trip, we returned with a sizable crack in our front windshield. Today I went to Safelite in Boulder and was met by the manager I believe. Such a super nice guy and extremely professional. The waiting area is filled with snacks, coffee, water, good WIFI and I was able to get my work done in a very clean, pleasant environment. My car was completed far earlier than I expected and the work was excellent. They billed my insurance and I just had to pay my co-pay. Will absolutely use them again (because it will happen again), and highly recommend. read more

The rearview mirror on my 2016 Ford Fusion had just inadvertently fallen off the windshield one day while driving to work, so I called about 10 places looking for help. Nobody wanted to touch it, including the Boulder Ford dealer. "Oh just bring it in in 3 days and we can give you an estimate..." WTF. Mind you I was driving the car around with the whole mirror assembly dangling down from the ceiling via the cable harness. A colleague at work mentioned Safelite, so I called them up: "Yes just bring it in anytime and we'll fix it for free." What??? I rolled in at 730 AM, the guy took one look and said "yeah give me 30 minutes". I sat down in the waiting room, and literally 18 minutes later my car was waiting outside, completely fixed. Was just on diagonal highway and hwy 52 near boulder headed west towards boulder at 8:45 am September 24th, and a safelite driver was driving erratically. Tailgating people the whole way. Passing dangerously and cutting people off, and then almost caused a car accident at that intersection by running a red light with a car in front of him stopped. This place really is the opposite of a pain in the glass. As soon as I booked my appointment online, everything was as clear as a freshly installed windshield on a midsummers day. From getting my quote online to even having to reschedule, the process was easy to navigate and no worries. The store had convenient text messaging to confirm appointments and a reminder, which was appreciated. Chad the technician was awesome. My car is a drama queen and a real issue sometimes due to its make/model, and he navigated through it all quickly and professionally. Zero customer service and communication. First time I dealt with them I showed up for my appointment and the windshield was not there. They had not called me prior to let me know this minor detail. I rebooked and windshield showed up and they did a good job with installation. I just booked another appointment for a different vehicle and same game. Except that the day before the appointment, I called to check if the windshield was there and it was not! Good thing I didn't go as planned. BTW, no way to get a phone number for the Boulder shop, I had to deal with their national call center. OK, booked the appointment and was assured the windshield would be there. Arrived today and surprise, surprise, the windshield was not there! The woman at the counter told me that she had left me a voicemail message but she had not. There was no message on my phone. She also "mentioned" that since it was a Mercedes, they could not calibrate the windshield, I'd have to take it to the dealer. Her attitude was not good on any level. read more

Vandalism is a nasty thing. The repairs are time consuming and stressful. My car was damaged on a Friday night, a beer bottle having been pitched through the tailgate window with enough force to shoot through the vehicle and to land on the front dash in many pieces, shattered glass everywhere. The beer bottle shards tore the finish on driver's door panel and dash, though luckily the window safety glass was merely annoying to clean. Safelite has an 800 # to schedule repairs and though the local office is closed on the weekends, there was actually someone there doing some prescheduled minor repairs. Since I have no garage and bad weather was coming, the phone staff sent me over to have the vehicle wrapped for protection and did enough vacuuming to make it safe. They were able to locate an OEM replacement heated glass to be delivered to Boulder and installed on Monday. The same worker who did the wrap up and vacuum on Saturday, did the mobile install on Monday. He was such a pleasant and diligent worker. The window looks good and seems to heat properly which I need in the winter for snow melt. I would give this place 5 stars if they had longer hours or a bigger shop and a local phone contact. They are so busy that they cannot accommodate the number of customers needing work and had no shop install times available for most of a week. Mobile work in my neighborhood is difficult and I would have preferred a shop install. The install would have to have been postponed had the rain/snow gotten here before the car was repaired since they cannot work outside if wet. Also, since the nature of their business is generally emergency based, like other emergency services, maintaining a staff on the weekends would be helpful to the community. They merged with the other major glass provider in Boulder that I had used in the past and now the one facility is not big enough. Since I had insurance, the paperwork was handled by my company and the 800# staff and with only one small delaying glitch, went fine. read more

Will never use this service again. We had windshield replaced and noticed air coming through the seal right away. Was not able to get it in right away as it is a work van and our schedule did not jibe with the way too busy Safelite location that installed it. It chipped easily and planned to get that repaired by the same location, but the next morning it had become a large crack. This in the summer, so temp swings were not the issue. The manager said it may fall under warranty due to the bad seal and I thought that was great but when the tech called the next day to let me know it was complete, he had no idea he was to look at the seal. I asked about this at pickup and was told someone else had looked at it. Clearly this was false. I was told no warranty due to the crack. Fine, whatever. I have since learned that a windshield installed incorrectly will crack/chip more easily. For HONEST service, you better go somewhere else! read more

I had a single crack in my windshield so I scheduled an appointment for Thursday to get it fixed before a weekend camping trip. I received a text Thursday that there was a chip in the glass that was supposed to be installed on my vehicle so they would need to order a new one and reschedule. It got rescheduled for the next day so no big deal. When they came to replace it on Friday the tech shattered the entire left side of the passenger windshield and told me he would need to come back a different day to fix it. I called the store to see if there was anything they could do to help me out. The representative said she would send the info to the manager and "hopefully" he'll call me. They called and said the new windshield was defective so they couldn't replace with it. Got a new factory windshield next day and got me in. Even during the Pandemic, this was a great service and company. I had Safelite come to my workplace, which was very convenient in regard to scheduling. The morning of my appointment, I received a confirmation call with a specific time frame of when the technician would arrive. Upon arrival, the technician sent me a text and called when he was outside so I could meet him and unlock my car. There was limited contact, and he was done with the replacement within 45 minutes. Payment was collected after the replacement, and overall, the process was smooth, quick and time efficient. My windshield looks great and is under warranty. read more

New cars are a challenge because of the technology in today's windshields. The first windshield we ordered was not right for my new auto with all the cameras and sensors. They re-ordered and communicated the error to me in real time. The day of the replacement, the tech got delayed. He was great about calling and texting to keep me posted on his status. Once he arrived, the work was done swiftly and without incident. Everyone I spoke to was professional and polite. They were conscientious about telling me the new windshields need to be calibrated by a dealer to be sure all the safety sensors work correctly. I was impressed with all their communication and how I knew the status every step of the way. Even though there were delays, Safelite handled it well and kept me informed. I have used several Safelite offices in CO over the years. Each has done excellent work. It's the only place I go for windshields. read more

Best avoided. The glass is poor quality and has a tendency to shatter. They don't honor the warrantee.

The tech did not start the car to check for camera warnings after changing out window. Now three camera warnings say they need servicing. The customer services to solve the problem was completely incompetent and we were on phone for 1 1/2 hours with multiple times being hung up on or transferred to "no where". State Farm recommended this company. I would not recommend State Farm or Safelite. read more

This place is fantastic! We were on our way from Denver to Boulder and a truck kicked up a rock at our windshield and cracked it. It was small but we decided to go ahead and handle it rather than let it get bigger. We stopped by this safelite to get it fixed. They were so nice and professional from the get go. We were given a 45min- 1hr window for it to be fixed. We walked to a local billiard and within 30mins they gave us a call saying it was fixed. I had a large crack in my windshield so I took it to Safelite and not only was the customer service amazing, but also they did a great job repairing my windshield. Yeah. Not a fan. Safelite blew off the first appointment. No call. Made a second one to show up at their repair shop. Oh, they had a record of the appointment but someone forgot to order the glass. "Sorry, sir, our next earliest appointment is next week. Sure, it's our fault but what are you gonna do?" Considered paying more to go to a dealership but got talked into a third appointment which, miraculously, was kept. Jury's still out on the quality of work but the service should be enough to keep you away. Update: the work was competently executed & a different person checked me out. Very courteous. Only slightly assuaged the anger of having two weeks wasted but at least that nonsense is done with. Still won't go back. read more

This is my first Yelp review but I thought this would have a better out come. I had a windshield replacement done today at my job, while I was out making deliveries they did the replacement and very well but the disturbing part that really hurt my hear is I had a couple missing things from my car one being a very important supplement I take daily to help me function. Which is considered tea but can very easily be mistaken for fine hash or weed looking but I spend a decent amount to get it Sunday which was yesterday and had a full thing of it and when i got back to my car it was moved and more than half was missing. Number 2 was a very important envelop with 100 dollars in it which was my budget money for my food now I'm going to be hungry for a week thanks safelite! read more

I went to the shop a Saturday morning and I was treated very poorly when I asked, why you don't have the part if I made and appointment and it's was confirmed? Every time I called them they told me a different thing about the status of the windshield until they finally told me they bought it from a dealership? why? .
