In fact, both batteries died within two weeks of each other...in the middle of summer (not in winter, when you need extra amperage to start the car). My Volvo battery, which was rated at a higher amperage than OEM, went from being perfectly fine, one day, to a paper weight, the next...suddenly...without ANY warning. Bottom line: I would end up spending more on these refurbished and like new batteries, over the course of 5 years, than I would biting the bullet and buying from a reputable dealer. Go to Autozone or Advance Auto Parts. Heck, even a Wal-Mart battery outperforms BS&S's batteries. I'll never set foot in that place again.

I'm saying that nicely...... this was a true action of how prejudice and ignorance isn't dead ( from both races) ...... I do commend the sales manager and the young man who tried to install the battery..... it was an embarrassing and degrading experience....... never go ladies or women of color. To add to your comment. No one became combative or defensive until the OWNER decided to yell at the said customer and daughter. We can go back and forth with this. Bottom line yes a battery was bought...... but the unprofessionalism and customer service was still unacceptable. Be blessed

On the Sunday 4/19/2026, my vehicle would not crank, and I had to receive a boost off. On Monday 4/20/2026 I went to Lander's Ford where they performed a diagnostic that revealed the reason my truck was not running properly was because of the bad cell reading from the battery recently purchased from Continental Battery. In other words, the battery was no good. On today, 4/27/2026, I went to the location where I purchased the battery to return the bad battery. I first spoke to one younger black male who was working to resolve the issue, then a middle-aged black male hopped in and said, "You can't get a refund because the battery was installed and we don't know if your vehicle had other issues that caused the battery to go bad." I asked for the company's corporate information, in which he said he would provide me with but didn't. Instead, he told me that corporate was located in Texas and went to the next customer as if the problem was solved. I waited and told the man that I'd referred many customers to this establishment, and I will be letting them know of the poor customer service I'd just received. He stated, "This is a $4 billion company, and no one cares if they lose a few customers." Then he goes on to say, "I got $100,000 worth of vehicles and owned property. I don't argue with women." I feel that was a sexist statement and feel offended and totally disrespected. All of this went on as he conducted business with another customer in the 8 o'clock hour of the morning. I still waited until he finished with the customer. Finally, he asks for my card that I purchased the battery with. In this moment he said no other words, so assumed he was refunding my money, and he did. Then he told me the funds would be back on my card within 3 business days. When he handed me my card I told him to please practice better customer service. He told me "Get out of here sweetie. Don't ever come back!" The customer service I received after spending my hard-earned money was the worst experience ever. I would not wish this on my enemy. Continental Battery has now lost my business for good and the many referrals I've sent.

It's not one vehicle but two I've had this happen for. The first time my oil change people told me it was reading as bad and I should get it checked. The next time my car battery just died on me and this time it started cranking really slow so I took it somewhere else to get it checked out first. There is a 48 month warranty battery. After getting the battery checked at a different location and they told me it was bad and to take it back since it was under warranty, so I did. I took it to Batteries Plus Southaven and the manager asked me if I had a battery at home!!! I laughed because who has an extra car battery at home? He said he had to keep it 24 hours to check it out. I'm already late for work and school. Although, it was already showing as bad on my printout from Napa, but this time the manager said he could sell me a new battery and refund me the next day if he found it to be bad. He said he'd call. Well, I had to call them the next day after not hearing back by 3 pm and I went in at 8am the day before. He said it was bad and I could come back for my refund but the warranty would expire on this brand new battery in September this year instead of the expected 48 months. If you don't stand by your own product why would or should the customers trust you? I will not be returning. I'd rather buy a new battery somewhere else trustworthy than playing shift the bad battery every year with them. My advice- avoid them!!! On top of that he told me my alternator or starter may be to blame. All that has checked out fine on my car at a very trustworthy shop. The batteries are BAD! Also, I got my battery replaced in my key fob and after leaving noticed they cracked it and didn't say a word, so it was totally broken in half and could've gotten my key stuck in my ignition. Terrible customer service!
