They lost the only key to my Acura MDX and are refusing to pay a locksmith or replace the ignition to address the issue. I plan to file a small claims case as soon as possible, seeking approximately $4,000 for the value of the car and money invested into it, plus compensation for the loss of use as I am a severely disabled woman. The key was dropped off on August 15th between 9:30 and 10 AM. They admitted having lost the key a few days later, affecting when they could tow it from the shop near where it died. They eventually did tow it as it could shift into neutral and I'd been calling for estimates and getting stonewalled by them wanting to know with whom I left the key or a description of the employee. They don't give their names or wear name badges and I am an autistic woman with neurological impairments meaning I cannot recall names and match with faces until I'm well-acquainted with someone. They also overcharged me $200 on a prior repair by placing an estimated amount in a service charge column and I was initially willing to use that credit balance on subsequent work, but that is no longer possible. read more

My cars alternator went out on 88 just outside of Dixon. I had my three kids in the van. The worst time to breakdown. No tow companies were answering. There guy Jens pulls up and asks if I need a tow. Not only did they tow me. They fit me in their schedule and put on a new alternator. My pulley tensioner was bad. They did that too. read more

My dad used to live in Sterling and whenever I had issues with my car, I used to get it fixed over the weekend when I visited my dad from Morton Grove. I'm a musician going back to Chicago from Iowa this past Sunday afternoon. Despite the shop not usually opening until 4pm, Frank the mechanic made an exception to get us in right away after my alternator went out on highway 88. Their communication with Joe (of Gonzalos towing) was so efficient that the new alternator was there waiting for us when we arrived. Frank had the new part and my trailblazer up and running and us back en route to Chicago before 4pm. PLUS the cost of everything was affordable that even this working musician still came home with money in my pocket. My Ford is a 2005. The air conditioning failed about 2007. It had been repaired while under warranty, but the repair didn't last. I've been using rolled down windows for air for years. Finally got fed up and decided to get it fixed one more time before buying a new car with air. I don't like new cars so really wanted to keep mine. Asked on Yelp for estimates to repair. Got two replies. Anything Auto answered promptly with an estimate I could afford. They were able to work on my car that day and had it repaired the same afternoon. They found it did not need the part they had ordered for it and agreed to send it back. The repair was less expensive than their estimate. I was happy to pay when I picked up the car. So, first let me start out this review by saying Anything automotive is nothing short of amazing when it comes to working on vehicles, no matter what type. From trucks to cars and everything in between, the crew that work at Anything Automotive can fix it. I can personally say I have had 2 cars completely transformed by these guys. I've had engine work, suspension, wheels and tires, body work, painting, electronics, transmission work, and much, much more done to both my vehicles. I've even had a complete engine swap done by Anything Automotive for my 1999 Ford Mustang GT! They had the engine completely swapped and running in 1 day. Pat is a genius, I'm from out of town and in Dixon on business when my vehicle started acting up. It was about 6pm and everything else was closed. Anything Auto was recommended, they stay open until 10pm and are open 7 days a week...desperately in need of getting my vehicle fixed, I stop by. Pat was able to finally figure out what was wrong with it. I really appreciated the fact that he took the time to figure out actually what was wrong, before just throwing parts at it and raising my bill for parts not really needed.
