If you've never been here, don't ever come here! They "fixed" the issue with my check engine light in July only to come back on. So my husband took it to them again in October. They "fixed" the problem they said, and of course it costed! Well....more issues again in November. Not only with my car, but my husband's as well. When my car was "fixed" my husband's went to get "fixed". My car and his jeep were serviced at this location 3 times each within 6 months. Which robbed my children of Christmas. And once again my husband's vehicle is at their shop getting "fixed", for the 4th time, and mine needs repaired again! I absolutely will not let them touch my car again unless it won't cost me anything because they've gotten more than enough money out of me read more

We were 100 miles into a 500 mile trip when a warning light on the dash forced us off the interstate. After discovering the local Honda dealer was closed on Monday's, I asked the truck stop clerk for a suggestion as to where to go for automotive repairs since we were far from home. Turns out we were only a few minutes from Breedlove's. Brian was able to diagnose and repair our vehicle immediately. We were back on the road in about an hour. My car's brakes went out right before Christmas. I called the shop the day before Christmas eve after being turned down at 2 different shops to see if there was any possibility of getting in. I was told that if I got in right away i could get squeezed in. Got there in 20 mins. The boss said he would have it finished by 5. He gave me a call later and told me i needed all the replaced and a quote. got it all done by closing at price quoted. That was a huge relief, right before the holidays. Forgot to say that I asked for an oil job too,. No problem! I have to give everyone a great job well done. I expected to pay more for a rush job but the cost was super reasonable. I went back to Breedlove's Automotive twice after posting my first review. The last visit , August 13, 2018 I talked to Brian, the owner of the business. He explained that he was the man who I had originally talked to. He sure didn't look like the rude man I had originally talked to. I have unfortunately had 3 separate breakdowns and each time my vehicle was towed, repaired, and returned to me in a very timely manner (1-2 days) Communication was great, no unexpected expenses were billed. I don't think there are enough good things to say about Breedloves. On Saturday the 16th of January, my son was on his way back to school from Christmas break. He got a flat tire on 88 just before dinner time near the Dixon exit. Unfortunately it was cold and getting dark and he was moving all of his things onto the road to get to the spare. It turns out he didn't have the correct size wrench in his car. He was trapped and it was getting dark out and he was alone and cold. He called home looking for help but we were 2 hours away. We tried to find a tire store in the area in case he needed a tire only to find everyone we called was already closed. Then we found that the spare was fine but we needed the wrench to get the tire changed. I decided to find a tow truck to see if they could help. Most of what I found online was also closed. Then I found Breedloves. I talked to Jeff and was explaining what we needed. I told him my son was kind of freaking out being on the road alone and cars passing him at 80 MPH. But I think Jeff heard the bit of freaking out in my voice as well. He told me that he could definitely help him and that he needed about 30-45 minutes to warm up the truck and get out there. Mind you my son was having a hard time seeing the exit number or the mile marker he was at since he couldn't move the car. We weren't helping Jeff much but he stayed on the phone with us trying to get as much information as he could. We probably sounded a bit crazed but Jeff hung in there with us. Jeff finally got what he needed and I let my son know they were coming in 30 minutes or so. I don't think 10 minutes passed and the truck was there. They helped him change the tire and he was safely back on the road and made it to school fine. As a mother, there is no way to express how important it was to find him help and find it quickly. But the way Jeff stayed with us and reassured us he could help us out and how quickly he got out to my son meant the world to me. If you are in the Dixon area and need help for your car, please don't hesitate to call them. And let Jeff know you read this and thank him again for us. I've told everyone I know about this experience and I will continue to tell them. The next time I find my way out there I'll be paying them a personal visit to thank them again. Breedlove's Auto, if u haven't been here before you should go here. Found my self broke down and decided to stop in Dixon Illinois as Yelp showed the most auto repair places in that area. I broke down on Labor Day and had a day to figure where to bring my car... As everywhere was close for the holiday. I talked to Brian on Tuesday and he said he couldn't get to it the following day, got a call that night and he said tomorrow he we be working on it. Fixed car in a quick and professional way.. Thought I would have been taken advantage of because of my situation... (Broke down and not from around this area). They knew what they were doing and I'm a happy customer... Thanks again Brian, hope the review helps... You had no reviews before I was a customer, just hope others help out.
