I topped off the coolant, but…read moreonly just barely made it past the ferry to Aransas Pass before the temp went up, so I stopped and called for a tow to Wright Brothers. We got there right at closing time, but I was able to tell them what was going on and hand them the keys. We had an unplanned overnight stay, but Keith called in the morning to let me know what the issue was. Long story short, he wasn't able to get the part quickly, and had to do a temporary fix to get us safely back to San Antonio on a Friday. Work was done right after lunch, as promised, and he even gave me a ride from the hotel to get the car. I am very grateful to the shop for caring that I would be able to get my family home today without me having to rent a car and come back next week.

It's cold outside today but I needed an oil change. The owners are Allen and Beth. Allen worked on…read moremy car. He got the car lifted and the oil came out fine, but when it came to changing out the filter, he ran into a problem. The oil filter was put back on too tight. He said this tightness is all too typical with these Toyotas. It was a risk of breaking the aluminum casing that holds the oil filter and a couple of days to get the part from San Antonio if it breaks. So he just changed the oil and did not charge me for the oil filter and the labor. The bill was just $51. I will need to go San Antonio to the Toyota dealer to have the filter changed. I was glad that Allen was honest and walked me through the process and did not charge me, except for the oil. Most of all, I am glad to have had my car kept intact. This situation could have gone bad. He put air in my tires, even my spare tire. He did well and I would definitely return to this shop. Thank you Allen and Beth.

My review will center around my one interaction with L&H. My wife and two children were traveling…read moreto Corpus for a weekend at the beach when our vehicle s electric went out, and we knew it was the alternator. We immediately pulled out our smart phones searching for alternator places for prices. The prices we got were baffling, some from a respectable 175 (installed) to 300-400 installed. When we called L&H the gentleman spoke about giving us an estimate as soon as he could see what alternator we had. So we blindly trusted that we would be taken care of, upon finding out that Triple A tow was going to cost us $5 a mile after first 3 were free. When we arrived at L&H, the neighborhood might not have been in the best of condition but people were nice, and we dropped the Tahoe down off the truck. Soon Lorenzo came out and popped the hood, and walked back into his shop. It was raining/cold/windy and we couldn t get the truck under the awning for him to work on, needless to say he brought out a step ladder and went to work undoing the parts covering the alternator. He made some small talk to put us at ease, and I thanked him for being open at this time, it was 5:15 PM - One of the other places we had tried told us to not come by since they closed at 5 PM, and all the guy had for us was sympathy - zero help. Lorenzo stayed open, and was working in the rain. He quoted me 139.99 - for install and rebuilt part - which was more than fair. I m not sure how long the alternator will work, but I will revisit this in the future if it ever seizes before it s time. But Lorenzo was quick, and nice - and saved our vacation. Triple A advised mechanic quoted us $375 but with a 10% off as we were Triple A members, in which we just laughed at. Lorenzo saved us this day as the part/labor was cheaper than the 27 mile tow we had to pay to get there. Thanks Lorenzo, and trust he will shoot you straight and get you what you need. He might not be a full shop for every car s needs - but give him a shot, and trust starters/alternators will be taken care of fairly. Again, my wife and I thank you Lorenzo.

They took my stuff the car originally came to them with like tires, rims, '67 muatang hub caps. I saw my steering wheel in another car. Ot seems they chop your car up and use it for other cars. It took a bit longer than I had anticipated but again, the truck was nearly 20 years old. They also found another problem and repaired it in the process. Overall a good job with a fair price.
