So, I went to my friendly neighborhood O'reilly's on Arapahoe St. and Peter looked over the situation and says "I can do this." He had to work out in the parking lot with a cold September wind blowing and dismantled a large section of the battery box and front end trim. In ten minutes he had the old battery out and in 5 minutes had the new battery in. I was told the warranty was no longer valid since I did not purchase the new battery from them. I had to purchase a battery from somewhere else so I was able to get to work that day. I even asked for a store credit and was denied. The manager told me that the warranty is only good if I continue to purchase batteries from them. I paid $169.99 for a battery that only lasted though 1/2 it's life and was there is nothing they could do. This is very poor customer service and I will not recommend or ever return to Interstate battery again! Update: After talking with a represenative from the main office in IA and the business manager they determined that there will be no action taken for the warranty left on my battery.
