I bought a set of new wheels and tires from them. After they put on the new wheels and tires they did not properly balance them causing my car to bounce and shake on the highway. They also under filled the air in my tires which could have ruined the brand new tires I spent 1k on. Great experience! Mike Kline helped me and he truly went above and beyond. Had low pressure on my 2017 Chevy Tahoe. Went to Jensen Tire in Elkhorn and they turned me away say they couldn't do anything with a lock nut. I had no clue what a lock but was. They said it was a key for the tire. Said to go to Luke's Tire. I called called Lyle's tire at about 3:15 from Elkhorn and they said to come on in (they close at 4 on Saturday's) so they can look at it. Got there at about 3:40 and Michael came right out and found the nail. He brought it back to see if they could get the lock but off. Once the car was in the back, Mike came to talk with me and explained what a lock nut was and even showed me what a "key" looks like. He was SO patient and willing to teach me why it's not a simple fix. I learned a LOT! Even though they were closing soon, he never rushed anything. Thankfully, they were able to fix the tire without damaging the black rims. Mike was worried that if I got another flat, it may be a worse situation to where I might be stranded. So, he said he would do some research to see if he could replace the remaining three lock nuts with regular black ones. It didn't even take him a week to follow-up. I will never go to another tire place! Truly professionals that know their product and care about their customers safety and budget. Mike was amazing! I just had another 5 star visit to Lyle's. I had to get a tire/wheel balanced. Lyle's has the latest Hunter balancing technology. You drive to door 6 for such service. I unloaded my tire and left it inside the door. Rick instantly popped out another door and ask how he could help. I went up front and paid. The job was completed within 2 minutes. The technician's name who was so positive, cheerful, and responsive was Rick. I recommend Mark and Lyle's yet again. Always consistent, high-quality tire/wheel service! My husband bother and I were interested In purchasing rims for 2 of our vehicles. Upon entry we were the only customers in the store. As we started to browse; the two employees never got off their phones to greet us or ask if we needed assistance. As we found items we were interested in we approached the counter to ask for him to look up prices etc. He didn't want look up anything and was very rude; during this time other customers came into the store; the employees were flocking to them to see if they needed assistance. At this time I told my husband and brother we are leaving; they will not get a penny from us. I am disgusted with how we were treated today. read more

I should have read the google reviews before walking in there, they pretty much summed up my exact experience. I walk up to the counter, stand there looking at 4(4!) people behind the counter. I finally say "howdy" politely. The older gentlemen on the left took a second and finally said hi. I asked : "how do things work here? Do I look around, do you have brochures, etc?" He told me i need to tell them what kind of car, etc first, (insert multiple common sense remarks here), then decide what I want based on what goes on my car. "OK" I say. Then he says "but the guy you want to talk to is there" (pointing to the guy directly in front of me). This guy looks at me, looks back at his computer as if he was annoyed I was there. I then say "ok, so what do we do from here?". I can go on and on about every little piece of this experience but really, does the owner of this place not have a clue that his employees are running people off? If you happen to read this (Lyle?), inform your employees that a simple "hello, how can I help" may actually make you more money. For that matter, find the nicest employee you have and put the rest of these guys in a backroom somewhere out of site of your clients. PS- I went in looking for new wheels and tires for my Infiniti. I went to an unnamed tire store, that proceeded to tell me I needed a new tire - that my slow leak in my existing tire required replacement. A bit skeptical, I was filling it maybe every five to seven days so I decided to call around for prices. This store not only quoted a complete mounted and balanced tire over $50 less, but when I went to have the work done, another guy that did the work said I didn't need replacement, that the tire was fine and I just needed a repair so he fixed it up. They could have very easily just replaced the tire and I'd not have known the difference. That kind of honesty is unheard of in this day and age. They've earned a customer for life! read more

It's funny how if you read the reviews you see a pattern of how the two guys behind the counter seem annoyed to help the customer all the time I will absolutely never go there again I took a loss all I needed was my tire fixed from a slowly he told me they didn't plug tires they only patch them I said fine had to wait almost 5 hours before they got to me and then when they did I left not even an hour later my tire was going flat again the whole time I was sitting there waiting for my vehicle to be fixed the two assholes behind the counter had nothing but attitude I wonder if the owner has any clue at all that these two assholes are running business off you earn your reputation whether it's good or bad and I don't see a whole lot of good coming from this place I was there on a Friday they wanted me to wait till Monday before they would look at it again to fix their mistake which is absolutely unacceptable and once again that assholes behind the counteracted like I was nothing but a problem for him if the owner has any sense he'd read all these reviews and fire the two guys behind the counter granted I only went there for a tire fixed but I will never go there and I will not let anyone I know ever go there simply because the two guys behind the counter great customer service guys take a bow read more

Have seen this place many times, but have never patronized it. I ordered a set of snow tires online from the Tire Rack, and Lyle's was one of their "preferred" installers. I had Lyle's remove my worn out snow tires and mount/balance the new ones. They did this in just under an hour and had them bagged up and ready for me to take home until I mount them on my vehicle in a few weeks. Great place to have this done. If you order tires online, you can have them shipped directly to Lyle's and show up to have them mounted for a fair price. read more

I love love love this place. They've always taken care of my tire needs. From needing new tires, to patching two tires that I had hit nails with. (Two separate occasions) my luck I guess! But they've always gotten the job done in a timely manner. Example: today they got my tire patched and put back on my car first thing once they opened so I could get to work on time. They were even nice enough to mention a tire sensor activated; even though it was already on when I dropped it off. (Thanks Walmart, for busting it). But he wanted to make sure to address it. And I let him know it was already like that. They are just good guys and fair prices. Wouldn't do tire repairs/purchases anywhere else!! read more

What a mistake to go here. A month ago, I had hit a pot hole and needed one new driver side front tire. The chain was not broken but showing. The passenger front tire was in "new condition" after being purchased the week before for getting an unpatchable puncture over a sharp piece of metal (rotten luck, right?). I was quoted a wait time an hour and a half and agreed. After 2 and 1/2 hours my car was done. Upon going to pick it up, I could still see the chain on the driver side tire of the vehicle. They had taken a brand new and wrong tire off the passenger side of the vehicle and installed the purchased used but in good condition tire on. After going in and complaining, the man at the counter was professional and said got it in right away and had my "old" tire installed on the driver side wheel that was originally requested in 10 minutes. Upon going out and inspecting the vehicle, while the tire was still the same brand, it did not appear to be the same tire. It was dull, and had patches of what appeared to be tar in places over the tire. When I complained about it, the guy became very abrupt and said "well yeah when your suspension is shot your gonna blow through tires. So my guys never said anything because they didn't think it was a new tire. I'd get that looked at." This is the first time he mentioned anything about a problem noticed. After hitting a pot hole, yes an alignment was called for and I felt something else possibly rubbing the wrong way but after a week, my new front tires had lost an obscene amount of tread. I called my mechanic who could get me in a week and a half later.(yes a long wait but I trust him). Two days before my appointment. I hear a pop pop going down busy maple street, and in an attempt to pull over into a parking lot, lost the whole front driver side tire and watched it bounce across maple street while the front crashed to the ground with such force that I lost the caliper bracket, crushed the fender panel so the front door could not open more than 10 inches. Upon exiting the vehicle I found three broken wheel studs with lugnuts still attached, my caliper bracket, my wheel across in the middle of 144 and maple street that somehow did not cause an accident, but I'm sure gave some drivers a heart attack, and my fender panel bumper cover. I called my mechanic who moved up my appointment and said he believed it was definitely that they didn't screw the lugnuts tightly. (They seemed tight as I always check after leaving some that type of job as accidents do happen and I could not move them by hand). He also questioned the tires as well saying that if the tires weren't wearing down in tread that quickly before, it's possible that something could have hit the tire to adjust the camber of the passenger wheel when it was being installed and finally that when one tire was an actual brand new tire a month ago at this point looked the way it did after a month. He said he could believe the other tire was a good to be sold used tire. Buying a new tire because I needed one and one quick turned out to be the most expensive mistakes of the year so far. read more

Staff VERY knowledgeable, prices cheaper compared to 3 other places in town. I was even able to trade in my old OEM 20" wheels and tires for credit. The All Terrain tires are holding up nicely and ca't wait to take them offroading and on the road in the winter, very good tires at very fair price. read more

Mixed feelings. I ordered new rims and talked to a few tire shops to ask if I could get them installed. They wouldn't install without buying new rims, so that's where Lyle's was able to help me. They installed the new rims, same tires, did the balance and all that. Great job. BUT one of their guys looked at my car and asked, "Are those factory wheels? If so, we will need to install new brackets because the factory ones are not reusable. This will add $80 to the original $100 we agreed on." I said, thanks but I'll just go elsewhere. He took a second, then just agreed to do the job for our original verbal agreement of $100. Kind of him to do that (I guess), but it sounded like some bs. I've had the rims installed for two weeks with no issues. Overall, they did not seem like a very friendly crew. I stood at the counter, waiting for acknowledgement as four gentlemen stared at me. One stood up and asked for what I needed. The job was just done well for a reasonable price. That is how I justify 3 stars. read more

My dad purchased 4 tires through Tirerack.com and had them shipped to Lyle's Discount Tires as they were a recommended installer with pretty good reviews and I had done the same with my car in the past 12 months with good service. Once the tires were confirmed shipped he called to make an appointment to have them installed. He was told it would be first come first serve, which may be their policy currently, however, I believe I had set a date and time when I had mine installed as I took off work to do so. Once he was there and waiting on tire installation, he was told that a lug was not able to be removed, which happened to be a safety lug with a key for it. 3 of the 4 wheels were removed, tires replaced fine, and reinstalled, but one had an issue. The tires were recently rotated with no issues so unsure how this one lug was an issue now. I suspect it was stripped while using an impact wrench when a hand socket should have been used. After some time with it, they were able to get the lug off, but not without severely gouging the chrome rim in a few places around the lug, leaving the rim to possibly continue to chip and look awful. He was charged extra for the time taken to remove the lug with no regards to the damaged wheel he was left to deal with. For a specialty wheel dealer working with high end wheels, we felt this was horrible service. Paying extra to leave with a damaged wheel is not what anyone expects. We will see if the chrome continues to flake off knowing there is no repercussion that we can take to have this corrected. Will probably not use or recommend this installer in the future. read more
