I came early and left early, but this seemed like a decent spot. Service was slow, but you can't blame the bartender, who was clearly undertrained and under a lot of stress - by herself behind a full bar. There were two people at the door, but only one behind the bar. Clearly the management/owner doesn't want to make the money that this place has the potential for. If they did, there'd be 2-3 bartenders who were properly trained to work in a club environment. O'Ryleighs is a pretty decent bar/club in Merced. They have drink specials every night, you can find them on their Instagram, they have a juke box, DJ's play Thursdays-Saturday (idk about Sunday), they also sell food. I go to O'Ryleighs when I want to have a good time with my friends. We usually go on Thursday nights since it's 'college night'. The amount of ppl that go on the weekend fluctuates. There are nights where a lot of ppl aren't there but there are other times when it's packed. You will find different types of ppl here and from different ages. Like every other bar/club, there are some creeps so just be careful. If you are looking for a place to drink and dance with your friends and not drive all the way to Turlock, O'Ryleighs is the place to be. Went to the Tavern a few days ago for dinner and drinks. When Tracy is there she always greets us as soon as we walk in. She brings us a menu and makes us feel welcome. However, this time we were not acknowledged when we walked in and it wasn't busy. One bartender was throwing back shots and talking to a customer. The other was on her phone walking back and forth. After waiting for a while I approached the bar and had to ask for a menu. The bartender knew we came for food but continued to talk to her friend and never came to our table to take our order. After waiting for a while we got up and walked out. Too bad. If I could I would give this tavern a zero. Horrible service. And bartenders drinking? Isn't that illegal? My coworker and I went in for lunch. I forgot something in my car and went out to get it. When I was gone, my coworker ordered water and an iced tea for us and the waiter rudely asked if I had my ID. Apparently I needed my ID to order water. We ordered burgers and fries and the order took about 40 minutes to get to us. There were only a few people that sat around the bar but the it was not busy. Once we got our food, the waiter did not attempt to refill our drinks. In addition, she did not ask or give us our bill or asked if we needed anything else. Was there this evening and witnessed "the manager" a short, thin, over 40 female disrespect paying customers. She seemed annoyed by a couple that walked in and ignored their request for a Corona. Another customer that saw that told her she was rude. Came to town to visit family and went to O'Ryleigh's tonight and was standing at the bar for a good 15 minutes and no service. The bartenders were terrible all the men at the bar got served right away, even the ones that got there after me were served before me. There was 3-4 bartenders. The bartender (girl) with the dark brown hair mid 20's extremely rude took a photo of my cousin and made her very uncomfortable. I went outside to ask one of the bouncers what her name might be mad he questioned me and then ignored me. When we arrived the bouncer asked my friend if he had a pocket knife on him 3 times each time he said no. This bar is gross if you want a terrible service this is your place! Are used to frequent this establishment Wayback in the day when it was Maloney 's, I've been here a few times since the new ownership change years ago. Hadn't been here in a while, probably five years plus, decided to meet some friends out have a beer grab a burger and patronize the old place.. did not have any real issues other than the bartender focusing on her regulars to too much and me having to go to the bar to order drinks & interrupt their conversations. However when the bill came didn't have an issue with it, it was $75 and some change I left cash for a tip But when checked my transaction on my bank statement later on and she had charged me $92 instead of the 75 that I signed for and put a big zero through the tip section.. needless to say not happy about that situation, you don't change the amount charged... had to contact my bank and I'll be calling the establishment to get a copy of the receipt they're going to submit because I don't think that's cool at all, especially considering I left cash for a tip.. read more

This is a pretty decent bar and an above-average lunch spot for basic pub food. I especially like the fish tacos. They also have decent happy hour deals.
