The tap room is a beautiful space with lots of seating in downtown merced. I like that they host events throughout the month to draw people in. We went to Taylor Swift Bingo and it was very relaxed and self led as we would mark off songs as they played on the playlist. They also host local vendors and the tacos I had were very good. I would give it five stars if the seating was a bit more comfortable as the were wood benches and metal stools. There is a couch, but it was occupied. I also wish they had more non alcoholic options. They had Jarritos, and flavored water, and coconut water. I think it would be very cool if they had mocktails or even served the drinks in a prettier way. read more

Everything about this place is wonderful. The staff is super friendly. The drinks are a chemist dream. The atmosphere is fun open and casual. Met the person who created the slushy u am featuring here. She literally took different tastes and created a marvel. An orgasm in the mouth. Tioga Sequoia has so many options. I had a mango, pineapple sour that was delicious and my husband had the flights. He enjoyed all of them!! They didn't sell cans of his favorite one; however, you could buy Hoppy Trails ten pack and it was in it. The staff was very nice and helpful. You could bring food in from the taco truck outside. The latest addition to the Merced nightlife scene, this bright and well-lit brewery is right under the iconic Tioga hotel. They have a pretty extensive menu and if you can't decide on which one, feel free to ask your beer tenders! They're very helpful. I came on a Thursday night with my sister and her boyfriend and there was a live DJ playing, so the vibes are good. The taco truck outside is also very delicious and would highly recommend. I just happened to see this place and went in. It is brand new just a few weeks old. They dont have much in terma of food but you can bring outside food. There's a food truck right outside. This is like a candy store for adults which gives samples. So many beers on tap and cans/bottles. You can try some before you order. Friendly bartenders. Great music and ambiance. Congrats to Tioga Sequoia for opening their 2nd location! So glad we got to stop by here on our way back to the Central Valley from SF&Sac on a Sunday in April. The Merced Taproom will be one of our must stops on the 99. As long time fans of their beer garden in the Fresno Brewery District, this location is a refreshing and elevated version of the Tioga Sequoia we know and love. So much great seating, including some very comfy couches and industrial design coffee tables. Large bar and so much on tap. This is the full Tioga Sequoia beer experience. They also had plenty canned and ready to go. Looks like they will be doing the outside food truck thing which is always neat especially in a different city where you don't know the local food truck scene. Spotless and efficient bathrooms. So far sooo good! (And still has the new brewpub smell.) Very high ceilings and great natural lighting make this spacious new brewpub a very welcome addition to downtown Merced. We checked out the Tioga last night for the first time. Pros: The beer was great! Large room and comfortable seating. It was chill vibes. The server did help us choose a beer that they thought we would like. Cons: We didn't really have a real chance to interact with the staff. The restroom situation was not your traditional ladies and men's room. I found myself alone in the restroom area with a man. On a recent visit to the taproom I had the pleasure of meeting a young lady named Vanessa. As I looked over the selection she offered to help make a choice as I was not sure what I wanted. She asked qestions and gave detail to each drink when I questioned. After deciding on a beer (Half Dome ) we continued conversation where she let me know about activities they have in the tap room. Everthing from game nights to workshops that they host. As our onversation wrapped up she encouraged me to check out the tap room merchandise. I was highly impressed with her interactions with me!
