[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely beer garden![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Good selection of beers! They allow for people to bring their own food or buy food from whatever food vendor they have that day. Will come back when in Merced!

4 1/2 stars. Their beer board had a great variety of beers/seltzers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tap room sitting area was very spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean bathrooms and great to-go beer selections.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Only thing keeping this from 5 stars is the food situation. No kitchen is fine, but you better have multiple food truck options available. The day we went (Sunday) the vendor was a loaded potato pop-up. That would be a good secondary option, but as the only option is rather limited.

The latest addition to the Merced nightlife scene, this bright and well-lit brewery is right under the iconic Tioga hotel. They have a pretty extensive menu and if you can't decide on which one, feel free to ask your beer tenders! They're very helpful. I came on a Thursday night with my sister and her boyfriend and there was a live DJ playing, so the vibes are good. The taco truck outside is also very delicious and would highly recommend. There's plenty of street parking and there are occasionally events held here. Stop in and enjoy a cold one!

I just happened to see this place and went in. It is brand new just a few weeks old. They dont have much in terma of food but you can bring outside food. There's a food truck right outside. This is like a candy store for adults which gives samples. So many beers on tap and cans/bottles. You can try some before you order. Friendly bartenders. Great music and ambiance. I am going back soon.

Huge fan of this taproom, it's low key and just great for conversating with friends. The events get fun! Definitely recommend checking it out. I love how they let you try beers before choosing too!

Congrats to Tioga Sequoia for opening their 2nd location! So glad we got to stop by here on our way back to the Central Valley from SF&Sac on a Sunday in April. The Merced Taproom will be one of our must stops on the 99. As long time fans of their beer garden in the Fresno Brewery District, this location is a refreshing and elevated version of the Tioga Sequoia we know and love. So much great seating, including some very comfy couches and industrial design coffee tables. Large bar and so much on tap. This is the full Tioga Sequoia beer experience. They also had plenty canned and ready to go. Looks like they will be doing the outside food truck thing which is always neat especially in a different city where you don't know the local food truck scene. Spotless and efficient bathrooms. Great selection of merch for sale as well. Merced, you are lucky!

I love what the Taproom has done with their Merced location in the Tioga! It is big, bright and inviting while keeping with the old charm of the building. The space is very open and airy with plenty of seating and space. The music was good. The vibes are stellar and the beer speaks for itself. You should definitely come and check it out! They also advertise that they offer activities throughout the week such as trivia, karaoke and open mic night.

So far sooo good! (And still has the new brewpub smell.) Very high ceilings and great natural lighting make this spacious new brewpub a very welcome addition to downtown Merced. The server was super friendly and practically insisted that he pour me some samples before ordering. The General Sherman IPA is excellent, and reasonably priced at $7 for a pint. Not serving food, but food trucks are parked outside as I write.

A bunch of beer, a pretty, minimalistic large space... harsh fluorescent lighting, a few small tvs, no seltzer, no wine, no food aside from bag chips and packaged beef jerky... c'mon Merced Taproom... you can do better :[

Best Spicy Michelada and wide variety of local craft beers.

Celebrating my birthday. We decided to give Rainbird a try. From the valet parking, the hostess and…read morewait staff were all friendly and seemed happy to help. For starters we had the pork belly app with bread and honey ricotta spread. Both were amazing! Best pork belly we have ever had. Then I had the scallops and my child had duck confit! We were trading bites and with our plates half cleared, we realized we never got a photo. I had lemon tiramasu and they had Strawberry shortcake. Great flavor! There was also a double bourbon and a latte in there somewhere. I wanted to try everything on the menu and should have had some wine. There will have to be a next time, and another next time. The dining room was modern and clean. The experience was great and glad that Merced finally has fine dining.

We chose Rainbird for our Galentine's celebration on Sunday, 2-15-26. We had reservations at 12:30…read morepm. We were met by the greeter who proceeded to tell us to wait to be seated. The restaurant was not very busy and it took almost 20 mins just to be seated at our table. We then took our place at the table and we waited another 10-15 mins for someone to wait on us. We kindly flagged the young male server there and asked him if he could get our server to assist us. The young female server finally came out to assist us - she was not very welcoming but proceeded to take our drink order. It took almost 15 minutes to get our mimosas and water. She did not greet us, inquiry if it was our first time there or gave us suggestions on the menu. She then proceeded to take our order which took a while to get our food. The plus - everyone enjoyed our meals from the way they were prepared to the ingredients. No one ever came to our table and gave us any water nor did they ask for a refill on our drinks. During this time I peeked around the corner and saw staff just sitting in the back talking to one another. I tried to keep the experience positive for my group of friends but they were also growing concerned about the lack of hospitality. The lunch schedule was only until 2 pm but because of Rainbird's delay in seating us, taking our drink orders as well as the slight delay we felt we were now being rushed to finish our lunch, I also wanted to celebrate our friend's birthday and I brought a cake - the server proceeded to tell me it would be a $5 charge per person if I cut the cake there. She did offer to bring a complimentary dessert for our guest of honor. In my opinion, due to the service we were not receiving the cake fee should have been at least discounted or offset due to the lackluster enthusiasm and service. As we were trying to finish our lunch and take pictures at this beautiful establishment we could see the "side eyes" of staff rushing to get us out the door. I am a firm believer of supporting small businesses in Merced since I was born and raised there and let's face it - Merced has very limited fine dining and we wanted to do something nice for us. In order for small businesses to thrive in this town they need our consumerism to stay in business. As I read from all the exemplary reviews on this platform we unfortunately had a very bad experience with this lovely establishment. A group of us came from Madera so that we could meet our gals from Merced as a middle location. Needless to say we were very disappointed with the service as well as the treatment we received from Rainbird. Next year we will choose another location for our next gathering. Please do better Rainbird.

The music and vibe are great usually on Thursday through Saturday nights. If you go early enough, it's attached to Thai Cuisine II and you may be able to order Thai food and drinks at the same time. They also have QR codes attached to the tables so that you can order drinks on your phone, if you're able to get a seat. Once the bartenders are done serving the people in line, they'll deliver your order directly to your table. Unfortunately, the owner (Bobby, I think his name is) doesn't necessarily have the best sense of hospitality and can be rude sometimes. My friend ordered three waters for our table after she ordered some shots, and the owner gave her attitude as if it were such a chore to get us those waters. I didn't see a self-serve water station so I didn't appreciate the attitude. He can be quite dismissive, unless you're a fresh new female who he can flirt with. A different time, my female friend was visiting from out of town and all of a sudden, he was extremely attentive to us and friendly. A change from his usual sour demeanor. I don't go here too often due to the lack of a welcoming vibe from the owner (his staff are usually fine and generally more easy to get along with). Every time I go back, I'm reminded why I don't go too often anymore.

He was cursing, If a person is using a bowl to take any liquid item from the main dishes. He stops them and tell them not use it for anything other than dessert. Well my friend you have to put a note which is visible to everyone. Not high on the wall where people cannot see it. And then, if someone took it by mistake, ignore it since they are there to eat food with respect. Mandeep is not telling everyone to not to use it. Other women in the restaurant are using the bowl for the main dishes. My colleague pointed it out and he ignored it and said It is Ok for them to use it and start cursing in front of other people in the restaurant. Very embarrassing. Will never go back to this restaurant again. People go to restaurant to get served with love and respect not to get commanded or cursed for something which they are not doing wrong. It's not a big deal to use a bowl which is there on the table to eat. A person is using it for the purpose. Whether they use it for dessert or butter chicken should not matter. We respect the business but the business has to respect the customer as well. No one likes to be cursed while having their food. No matter what how good is the food. Service is zero and no star.
