    Buttermilk chicken tenders

Service was wonderful and quick. They were kind and willing to put whatever football game on for my husband. The waitress was really nice to our toddler and got her food out quickly. Irish nachos and brisket stew were phenomenal. We love the cozy feeling of the restaurant. It's a welcoming place.

The restaurant has a good atmosphere inside with the flow of the kitchen and bar. My wife and I visited after church on Sunday and it was not busy at all. Decent draft menu with a few select Irish brews and cider . We ordered the Rueben , wings , and Irish onion soup . Wings were crispy and juicy , the blue cheese was house made and chunky , the onion soup was flavorful and definitely house made . The Reuben was stacked well with good portion of tender corned beef. Overall , my 3yr old said he would return .

Good is it's cute and cozy. Has live music that I liked. I could go back for a beer or to maybe try their Rubin sandwich. Service was good but music was so loud that was hard to communicate. Bad is that the food in general was eh, and the price was way too much for what you get. Beer battered shrimp sounds good, but at $17 for an appetizer and only 5 shrimp were on the plate, that's $3 per shrimp when I can go down the street and buy 3 lbs of shrimp for $5.99/pound. Caesar salad, I'm not sure why people try to keep reinventing it but usually it's a very hard salad to screw up and this one was just not good.. Caesar salad dressing is an incredibly simple thing to make fresh and from scratch and yet nobody does it anymore. We walked out with one appetizers two meals and one drink and paid over $80 for it which wouldn't have been too bad if the food was much better. I did actually like the bangers and mash that my wife got, but the rest of the food not so good.

There's like 5 eat in nice restaurants in Delmar and 2 are Irish. Comparing them; it's very close depending on what you like. We went for lunch and parking and seating was very easy to get. The ambiance is nicer than Swifty's; cozily decorated for the holidays. The wait staff were friendly; especially considering my 2 rowdy kids. For the food: I really enjoyed my French onion soup! The calamari was also tasty, however I would've liked the banana peppers unfried. My youngest liked his chicken tenders and fries and it was A LOT for him. I did like the cottage pie but it felt mashed potato heavy. Like it was 75% mash. My oldest and husband got the fish and chips. My husband said the fish was amongst the best he's had! But thought the cole slaw tasted yucky and the tartar sauce tasted like a bunch of mayo; bland. We will probably go back.

The wrap was good. So we're the fries. I came here after work with a friend. It was super busy. The service was good, it was a bit noisy though. Beer was cold!

Great patio!!! We went on a Saturday night and received quick and attentive service. I ordered the bangers and mash and it came out piping hot. Would come back!

    Comfortable, well stocked bar.

This is a very pleasant place. Nice looking bar area surrounded by some tables. I passed a separate dining area away from the bar upon entry. There is also a patio area in back of the building. There appeared to be a large selection of draft beers, maybe 20, but I decided to have an Iced Tea ($2) with my lunch. It was basic and good. It was almost difficult making my choice among the sandwiches, tacos, burgers, mac and cheeses, and Irish fare, not to mention the sharables, chile and sides. But I finally decided upon the Dublin Gobbler ($12), described as oven roasted turkey breast, sharp cheddar cheese, granny smith apple slices, and house made cranberry mayo served on grilled multigrain bread. This sandwich looked as good as it sounded and met the taste challenge. The thick turkey slices were moist, the bacon crisp, and the cranberry mayo in just the right proportion. The crispness to the outside of the tasty multigrain bread added a nice texture contrast. The apple slices added a note of sweetness. Sandwiches come with fries and these were well above average with their crispy coating. My lunch companion ordered the Fully Loaded Firehouse Wrap ($12). Choosing crispy over grilled chicken, mild among the sauce choices, and ranch over blue cheese, the remaining ingredients of bacon, Monterey jack, romaine and tomato literally rounded out the stuffed warm, flour tortilla. She was really happy with how good it all tasted and made sure our bartender knew it. She also thought the fries were excellent. Service was very good and all COVID-19 restrictions were being adhered to. Definitely need to come back to try some of those other items calling out to me and check out the beer taps.

Sunday afternoon lunch with the family. We arrived around 1:45pm and they were just starting a party in the dining room so we were seated in the bar area. Plenty of football on the TVs with the NFL package. Place was packed by 2:15 but we were seated immediately. Menu has something for most tastes as well as a kids menu. My son had chicken fingers with fries and said they were great. Wife and I both got the Reuben as a friend recommended it to us. It was served with fries and pickles. The sandwich was packed with thick chunks of delicious corned beef. Only negative is the beef was cold. I prefer the meat on the warm side but still delicious. Fries were good as well. We ordered the shrimp as an appetizer and weren't thrilled with them. Nothing wrong, just no "wow" factor. Waitress was attentive but food was a bit slow but not bad considering the crowd they had. Place is cozy with plenty of parking. Kid friendly, even in the bar area. Nice selection of beers round out the experience.

Irish steak burger. Very disappointing and bland. Fries where very good.

My wife and I are always looking for a new place to try delicious food. I drove by this establishment a few times and thought today I would give it a try. There is plenty of parking in the front and back of the building. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with lovely Irish music playing in the background while I was there. They have a large selection of draft beer, And the seating areas felt a bit small. The waitress was very nice and sat us next to a window and handed us menu's. First thing I noticed was that everything on the menu was pricey so I hoped the food would be delicious. I got the traditional Irish onion soup and my lady got the Irish calamari for appetizers. And we both got the irishman 8oz steak burger for the main course. The calamari was pretty good and the marinara sauce was hearty and surprisingly tasty I thought the calamari had a bit of a pork rind taste to them but besides that it was very good. The onion soup however was horrible and tasted like plain boiled water and lots of herbs I was surprised when I scooped up a big spoon full of herbs while taking a sip and that was it for me. I sent it back and the waitress took it off the bill. Then the burgers came and I was surprised about how thick they were. It was a square shaped patty that looked a little over a 1/4 inch thick. I got mine medium well and after taking a bite I noticed it was a bit undercooked and warm not hot at all. The bottom bun was freezing cold when touched and the burger was a bit bland. Disappointing for a $15 burger before tax. The fries tasted better then the burger. My wife said her burger was OK nothing special. overall if your sitting at the bar and getting some appetizers it's not a bad place to stop at. But besides that it was nothing special and it wasn't terrible just average. But for the prices they charge for the quality of food I experienced brings it to below average for me.

First, your Brunch menu and food are excellent, when we finally got our food - after roughly an hour of waiting - I was instantly reminded of why Dove and Deer is great - bold flavors, excellent preparation, gorgeous plates all in a city that desperately needs it. Second, I really felt bad for the 3 people responsible for running an entire restaurant on a Sunday (two waiters and one person in the kitchen). They did their absolute best, were so kind and apologetic, but obviously completely stressed out and frazzled. Tables got up and left after waiting for someone to get back to them - and we almost did too. It's unfair to restaurant staff to put the burden of running an entire place on them. I get if someone called off and you're short staffed 1 or 2 people, but did everyone call off? Besides 3 people? Come on. You have a real opportunity to be a go to brunch destination, my advice is to staff appropriately and give it a real go or risk customers not getting to experience the greatness that is your food - and taking their dollars to someplace far more mediocre. The only reason this isn't a 2 star or 1 star review is because of how hard your staff tried, and how good your food is (when it finally shows up).

This has to be one of the best restaurants to ever step foot into Delmar…read more I have been going to My Place for probably around 20 years. Never has the quality changed. The wings are probably the best you could find anywhere near Albany. They have a very unique flavor and always in the perfect condition. The Mild/Medium sauce that I get with these are spot on. They are not small wings and are filled with tenderness. The Blue Cheese you get with these yet again is very unique and something I always have to ask for an extra side for because I love it so much. I usually get a side of french fries with these and those as well are always super crispy and bring a lot of flavor. Another thing I get here sometimes would just be the normal Chicken Tenders. Again, always a tender chicken with some great flavor. Staff are always super nice, and instantly try to get your drinks to the table when you walk in. Clean looking restaurant as well. If I could give this place a 10 star on here, I would do that instantly. Keep it going My Place!!

After about 15-20 minutes we finally received our drinks and we then placed an order for food. My wife ordered a cocktail that was strawberry/banana and that was fine. However, the cocktail my coworker ordered looked disgusting and tasted mid. While I don't recall the name of the cocktail they ordered I believe it had blue curacao and pineapple. Regardless of the ingredients, I don't understand why the bartender allowed a drink that resembled dirty dish water to be served in a clear cup. After finishing our drinks, we waited nearly 45 minutes for our food to be served. I found the long wait to be inexcusable. The restaurant and bar were not crowded and a family that arrived long after we did was served their food long before us. I ordered a double cheeseburger, mozzarella sticks tossed in hot garlic Parm, medium boneless wings, and an order of French fries. The food left a lot to be desired. The hamburger patties had the taste and consistency of the cheap, frozen patties you buy in a store. The mozzarella sticks were similar. The French fries were unsalted and tasted stale. The boneless wings were spicy, as I ordered. But the sauce tasted like it had BBQ sauce added and the meat wasn't delicious. I won't even discuss the "Melba" sauce I ordered with my mozz sticks. My Place did not live up to the hype for us and we will not be returning. Our server was polite and got tipped well due to that. But between the long wait and abysmal food, I'll be taking my money elsewhere.

On this particular night, they had the dance floor covered in chairs and tables, set up like a comedy club or a dinner show. I see on their website that they sometimes clear those tables to provide a generous dance floor space. The table set up is good for comedy or jazz, but many FM songs are made for dancing! Luckily there was plenty of room to dance on the right side of the room, but obviously along the wall there isn't the best sight or sound. I think it would have been better to put the tables in a U shape and provide more room for dancing, which would have really elevated the energy in the room. There are booths along the left, too, so TONS of seating and not much good dance space, but luckily this could be changed in the future. I never had to wait long for a drink and the bartenders didn't mind when I asked for refills of water. I think this space has a lot of potential and I hope to see more music or comedy there soon!
