This is, in my opinion, the best dinner restaurant in Concord. I usually sit at the bar when I am down here for business. The service is good, and I had two fabulous, back to back meals. This is one of my favorite higher end restaurants in the Concord & Manchester area and has been for years. They always have creative food specials in addition to a well rounded menu. Their martinis are some of the best around as well as having a good draft beer & wine selection. I love the atmosphere and the bartenders are top notch . You'll spend some money here for sure but not over the top amount of money & it'll be well worth it. Food was very over cooked, (beef tips and chicken) and over marinated to the point there was no taste other than marinate. This left us thinking we should have gone somewhere else instead of paying higher costs. I saw someone had a post and had an issue with waitress Shane ! She was great with us, attentive and friendly. Table of 4 to celebrate a birthday. The booths had rips in the seats..not a good look for a steakhouse charging $50+ for a streak. Also they have these tall lamps the middle of the table that you have to look around to see your party across from you..weird? We ordered 2 sodas and water and placed a dinner order and then proceeded to wait over 57 minutes for our dinner. Absolutely no communication from our server if we wanted drinks refilled or an update on the wait time. Steaks arrived and one was so burnt we had to send it back. Oddly the manager brought the steak back and asked what was wrong with it?? It was so burnt we picked it up with a fork and it was stiff..ribeyes shouldnt look like a shingle. They did take it off the bill and the rest of the steaks were very good. The other ribeye was cooked perfectly and the flank steak was very tender. It really was just poor service that ruined our dinner. The service was disappointing and embarrassing because we recommend the place for our friend's birthday. Where do I start with my experience here? First, this was my first time coming here despite living within walking distance and it will be my last. I asked the server, John R, for a sweet wine, they had no moscato so ultimately I asked for a Reisling...what I ended up with was a Pinot Grigio. We got the "chips". Every bite was a mouthful of salt. We had to physically wipe them off with a napkin. The server wouldn't know because he never returned. We took our cards out to pay and he walked by us at least 6 times with no acknowledgment and even though his trainee pointed out that we were ready, he walked away and they chatted at the host stand for at least 3-5 minutes. We never got a bill and he just took the cards. We paid $40 for some chips we couldn't eat, a beer, and a wine I didn't want. When we left, the server nor the hostess said goodbye or thank you. Drink quality---horrendous. Reminds me of the quality you'd expect from a bar training class: most drinks are so gross, they're undrinkable. We had to get up and speak with the hostess for assistance and putting in orders because our server was MIA. The meal, however was incredible. I highly recommended dining here for the experience. Food was excellent when I first started going there in 2018. The cocktails were excellent as well. Both were worth every penny, which is quite a lot. Over the years the food has gone down, but still worthwhile most of the time. Service is always good. The ambience is good which is okay. It's more lively than annoying. I'm giving them 3 stars because the ambience is great and the drinks (although pricey) are strong. The food has been cut back to a smaller menu and I used to love the calamari appetizer, but now it's drenched in sauce, and the lobster Mac isn't as good as it was like 8 years ago. Went to O's with a large group. We had good service, hard to rate that, as its so common that everyone is light on staff these days. Apps were the Chips & Blue Cheese, Dumplings, Meatballs and all of them were very good. I had the Chicken over Jambalaya which was excellent, albeit spicy. I like spice but others who got it found it too spicy. Perhaps a note when ordering, that it tends to be spicy would resolve this. Desert, COFFEE CHEESECAKE.... Food took for ever. Baked potato was cool and hard as a rock. No butter, sour cream salt or pepper offered. E finally asked for butter and pepper. When we got the pepper it had to be passed around most of the bar by customers since no one was offered anything. Bartender was more interested in labeling things behind the bar than actually serving anyone. Never offered dessert was just given the bill which I had to tell him to take the potato off because it was not edible. Never say a manager or any employee who liked they gave a cap to be there or actually give mediocre service. I can't understand some of the low ratings for this venue. We've been here for dinner twice and each time has been superb. And last Friday was no different. So my awesome husband took me out on the town for my birthday, we went to the Red River Theatre downstairs and afterwards, we had reservations at O's. The place was indeed crowded but nonetheless they honored our reservation on the spot and offered us seating by the bar-side dining room, which was quite busy and loud, or by the dining room away from the bar, which was way more pleasant. We got a table by the corner window and wall, which we loved. The waitstaff was indeed pleasant and efficient. We both got cocktails, I got a Manhattan-type drink with maple syrup in it that was delicious. The shared appetizer was the pork potstickers with ginger sauce which I thought was absolutely delicious and despite the sauce, it was crispy and crunchy, obviously freshly made and not at all gooey as pre-made gyoza tends to be. Our main courses were the Ahi tuna for me, in a bed of shrimp fried rice and broccolini with kimchi. This was a totally delicious dish. The shrimp was indeed abundant, the ahi cooked just right and seared just on the outside, and the kimchi, although a bit bland (ostensibly to placate the normal American tastebuds and not those who have lived in Korea) was nonetheless outstanding. My husband had an amazing filet which was also cooked to perfection. We washed our dinner selections with both a Malbec and a Cabernet, both good quality house wines. Then there was the dessert. I had the carrot cake, one amazing dish that came with big "Happy Birthday" written in caramel on the side of the plate. I was excited to come here for the first time but unfortunately left dissatisfied. It took forever to get my glass of wine before I even put a food order in. I also asked what type of chowder it was. The waitress had to go back to the kitchen to ask. I was told a seafood chowder but it had sausage upon me eating it and it was very "soupy" for a chowder. The portion of meatloaf was HUGE. Had I known I may have just shared the meal with the other person I was with. Nothing special about the meatloaf even with the glaze and the mushrooms finely diced into it. If you do get this it's more than enough for two people. My companion ordered a side of Mac and cheese and she said it was very bland. We also had to wait a long while till our waitress came back to check on us as we tried to get the bill. Went to O's for anniversary last night and it was so disappointing. It started with the beer being really warm. Asked server for a new one or a cold glass and she came back with the beer poured into a glass that wasn't cold. Then dinner- my filet was raw, when I asked for medium. I could not even begin to eat that steak. Tried to get our server's attention but sat there for 10 minutes before I could flag her down. She took the steak away and waited another 20 minutes to get it back. Meanwhile, my husband was completely done with his meal. And what's up with the bread? So, I wish I had taken a picture of my salmon. Everything last night-- especially the steaks-- were cooked perfectly. But the chef doesn't have a CLUE as to how to prepare salmon correctly. He/She put it under the salamander and burnt the top to a dark char both times (I sent it back the first time as it was supposed to come medium rare and it was way overcooked with a charred top that was crusty and dry and a dry middle). Then the replacement came which was again the exact same on the outside (blackened and charred under the salamander (WTF?!?), but now raw in the center- which fine-- I like Sashimi, so that was better than dry, but again- the outside was burnt to a crisp. This was one of the worst two cooked salmons I've ever had. Not cooked by anyone who knows anything about cooking salmon. The rest of the evening and meals were terrific- especially the steaks and the scallops which were wonderful. So if you go here, order anything but the salmon and you should be very happy. (hence the 3 stars and not a 1 star review). For the love of god, DON'T ORDER THE SALMON HERE UNTIL THEY LEARN HOW TO COOK IT PROPERLY! read more

I've never left a yelp review (or not a negative one) so take that for what it's worth. I'm an easy customer who has worked kitchen and front of the house so I empathize. The issue is the ownership or management trying to stretch limited staff Positives: servers were delightful, lobster Mac and cheese is still amazing if that is all you want, cool atmosphere, sat right away at 1245 (red flag, nearly empty) Negatives: I paid $8 for a COMICAL amount of highly over salted spinach (which I didn't return because the below issue happened first); requested steak tips with bernaise on the side (this is an up charge I happily would pay), came with what appeared to be hollandaise under the tips; server apologized and said he'd bring more on the side (I hoped this time for bernaise) nope more hollandaise...flagged him down to explain this wasn't bernaise and he apologized and went back to the kitchen and came out with what he was told was labeled bernaise but clearly was some kind of chutney. I gave up, ate a couple overcooked tips and decided it was my last visit there. I understand all businesses are struggling with staff but they should instead reduce the menu to what the current staff understands or reduce hours to have appropriate staff.
