I ordered the vegan burger which was flavorful and came topped with grilled onions and veg, I added cheddar. Friend ordered the teriyaki steak which they said was very tasty and cooked perfectly. They took longer to take our order but the waiter apologized unprompted and food came out pretty quickly and they checked on us! Big Nordic style doning hall with tons of deserts in the cabinet when you come in more of an up scale Applebee's vibe to their food with about 1/3 seafood, burgers and the typical NH concord area menu options. This is an old school restaurant like our family would have gone to in the 70's. The chicken fingers, hamburgers & onion rings were super fresh and delicious. The waitress was very friendly, kind and attentive. The red upholstered booths and mad men decor is authentic and a fun throwback to an earlier time. Only thing that was off putting was the weird sauce they had for the coconut chicken tenders. It was watery and tasted like pineapple juice mixed with imitation coconut extract. To update my review we stopped here the other day for lunch and we were not disappointed! We had a wonderful waitress, I think her name was Rachel, and she was very attentive without being hovering. The fish and chips I had were amazing and so was the french onion soup. I didn't get a picture of the soup because I dove in and made a mess before I thought of it. Everything was clean and the bathroom had warm water! I was so happy about that because so many places we go the bathroom is freezing cold and the water is like ice. Great place to come and have a meal. Plenty of parking. Large space inside so wait times don't seem bad. Huge menu. Tasty crafted cocktails. We started w the full nachos and this fed 4. They were very good. Service was excellent. Fisherman's platter was good not great. I'm not saying don't get it but I was disappointed in size of the fish. Fries were excellent. This location is super cute and tasty! Our server was SO SWEET and food was very tasty too. They have a fantastic bakery selection too (don't sleep on the almond joy cake). They found the Soup excellent, the Chicken Wrap a bit salty but ok, and the beet salad in dire need of lettuce. A beet salad without greens is a side order of vegetables. The service was acceptable. The resturant was recommended by some friends we were skiing with. Stopped there for a quick dinner on the way home. When you walk in you first see a case with lots of desserts. I grabbed 4 of these on the way out for family at home. They were about $32 for the dessert. For dinner there was 3 adults and 3 kids the food came out quickly. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the sesame, crusted salmon that was excellent. Many of the kids had Caesar salad, which was very good with chicken. Their breaded chicken was not overly breaded light and had a nice flavor to it. Someone at the table had the big stuffed cod, which I absolutely would try next time. It looked delicious. I would both recommend this place and go there again for the charm, it's a big restaurant so probably not too much of a wait when busy and good food. read more

Stopped at the Red Blazer for lunch after visiting the NH Lottery headquarters right down the street--and I'm so glad we did! I ordered the Vegan Burger, and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had. It was topped with the most scrumptious sautéed broccoli, mushrooms, onions, lettuce, and tomato. Broccoli on a burger sounded strange at first, but OMG--after the first bite, I was hooked. It was out-of-this-world delicious. I paired it with their crispy onion rings, which were perfectly golden and crunchy. My friend had the Fabulous Reuben, and he said it was one of the best he's ever had. The corned beef, Swiss, sauerkraut, and their Thousand Island dressing were perfectly balanced, and the marbled rye was grilled to perfection. Went to Red Blazer for our monthly high school senior class get-to-gather (we are in our mid-late seventies). Had Pastry Baked Stuffed Chicken. VERY disappointing! Rice Pilaf was too undercooked. "Pastry" covering chicken was like flabby chicken skin. Chicken was almost tasteless. Stuffing had little flavor. Carrots were cooked perfect but needed seasoning. The Red Blazer is a good sized restaurant which is run with precision. Everyone seemed happy to be there including the staff. A true family business with dad and one son in the kitchen and number two son overseeing the dining room. We were made to feel like family or a long-time family friend despite having never been there before. We had a couple of beers and the full nacho app as our dinner. The nachos were outstanding with lots of melted cheese and the sautéed vegetables and pulled chicken beneath. A meal in itself. Our waitress then let us know that everything on the menu is fresh, so we dove in. The girls both got fettuccini Alfredo. The daughter got some kind of stuffed chicken breast encased in a pastry. I got the pork schnitzel special encrusted with pumpkins seeds and drizzled with a lemon cream sauce. We also got loaded nachos and potato skins as table finger food. Damn! It was good. Everyone liked their meals, and the girls were fighting over the last of the nachos. Shockingly, they had even given us enough condiments including sour cream, a rarity at restaurants nowadays. We were stuffed, and yet they are known for their desserts. So we brought 3 home to split. There were family feuds over the last of the mint cheesecake bomb. Im not sure who won. The bill came to about $150 and we ordered a lot of food. Nothing is inexpensive any longer. That being said, the pricing was very fair. I convinced him to give it a try while we were up in NH peeping leaves like a thousand other tourists, and it turned out to be a great find! We were sad that the first three things we asked for on the menu they were out of. Huge bummer. What is coconut chicken tenders?! I have to know! Not this time around, unfortunately. They didn't have the bacon wrapped scallops either. But our waiter was friendly and the food we got was delightful (bacon and corn chowder a definite win. My husband loved the onion soup!). We have driven by many times, but never stopped in. Today we did and boy are we glad! We sat at a high top in the bar area. The place is very clean and spacious. Service was great, food was excellent. Hubby had the steak bomb with fries. Some of the best fries I've had in New Hampshire!! I had their beet salad and onion soup. The beet salad was huge and delicious. The tangy balsamic reduction was the perfect touch to complement the naturally sweet beets. The onion soup was piping hot and perfect. They have 32 beers on tap! Everything was great, but the one thing that struck me the most, was that all the workers seemed genuinely happy, and glad to be there. We had a group of 12 that we brought to the restaurant for a small wedding reception dinner. They were efficient and attentive and dealt fabulously with a couple very picky people in our party. Everyone's dinner was excellent and this included a lot of seafood dishes, a couple cheeseburgers, a steak and some chicken dishes. Our waitress, Kathy was exceptional and helped us select a cake from their wonderful selection of desserts and proceeded to cut and serve us all. The groom's boutonniere was falling off and Kathy offered to put it in a box in the refrigerator to preserve it while we were there.
