    Curry Chips! So good!
    RM P.

Curry Chips! Decor just right. Irish family here and this place hit the spot. More Bourbon than Whiskey or Scotch, understandable why. Guinness was poured right so no complaints! Our server was awesome. My only mild complaint was the music was too loud. When you can't hear the person next to you it's annoying.

We ended up here for some good beer and dinner. Great Irish Pub, plenty of seats and tables. I started off with a Red Ale, tasted great and cold. Dinner I went with old faithful Fish & Chips. Started off with a huge pretzel with Mustard and beer cheese sauce. Everything was great, would return.

Great lil spot in downtown Decatur. The service was outstanding but my fish and chips were way overcooked, my wife's burger was ok and overcooked. Maybe it was a bad night? Our Bartender was amazing though.

4.8/5 I've been here for lunch a few times. I am so happy I decided to take a chance on this place. I am never looking for a big meal so I opt for the kids meal. It's a decent sized portion for me, so it is definitely filling for a child. The server is always so nice and the food comes out in about 10 mins usually. The chicken tenders and fries are my dav. The fries have this delicious mix on them that's so addictive. As for the grilled cheese, I wouldn't get it again. The cheese is veryyyy thick, I couldn't finish the second side. Overall, I'll continue to come back for my usual, one day I'll try the fish and chips.

We popped in on a cold day and enjoyed sitting near the window people watching inside and out. The food was yummy and filling and service was friendly, attentive, and relaxed.

Good service and selections of Irish food. The beer and cocktails offered complimented the food perfectly. Loved my server's Irish accent and pleasant demeanor. The Scotch egg was as good as my Yelpmates mentioned. I also enjoyed the candied bacon knots and fries with mustard like dipping sauce. The Tuscan salmon house special was a treat. It was served with brown rice in a bowl and had ample vine tomatoes, spinach in a flavorful sauce. I was thoroughly impressed with how the flavors resonated. Drinks were good too, as we drank Black and Tans. The atmosphere was pleasant too and welcoming to all groups including couples, families coming from the Capoiera studio and groups of varying sizes. The restaurant is also in proximity to the transit, which allows for options other than driving.

We had been in this part of Decatur many times and I never heard of it. We took the quick 5 minute ride over and I realized we had passed it many times. I think it had a different name last I noticed. As we approached I noticed the nice sized parking lot. A quick estimate, it could hold about 40 - 50 cars. I quickly found an open spot and walked over to the entrance. We entered and I could see the host walking toward us. He greeted us warmly, we let him know we were a party of 2 and preferred to sit outside. He informed us we could head out there and pick our own seat. We walked through the dark interior and headed outside using the side door. We found a table at the end of the patio near the front of the restaurant. There was plenty of outside seating on their patio and many of the tables were covered or had an umbrella. It was a little cooler than I expected so I ran back over to the car to pick up my jacket. I returned to the table and our friendly server came by and asked if we were ready to order. We were happy to see they had an extensive beer menu and I chose the Hi-Pitch Mosaic IPA from Hi-Wire brewing and Wifey ordered the Harp Lager. For food, we kept it simple and decided to share the Pork Nachos appetizer. Our waters came out next, and then the beers came out soon after. As we were hanging around and enjoying the patio I noticed the place was very dog friendly. The Pork Nachos arrived and were excellent. It was not a huge portion, but the perfect size for what we were looking for. The chips were crispy and the pulled pork was seasoned well. All the ingredients worked well together. We would definitely recommend the nachos if you visit Wheelhouse. Overall, this was a very good experience during our 1st visit here and we will definitely return when in the area.

I opted for a hamburger with waffle fries. I ordered Med-well, but received Med-rare. The bottom bun was disintegrating as it was saturated in grease. The waffle fries are solid and two people ordered the Irish Nachos to go while I was there so they may be the star. My fries were served with a mayo-hot sauce mixture that was just okay. I really wished my experience was better because there is so much here I normally like: local, neighborhood dive, music, tv. But this was a one-and-done for me. Also, the bar height is awkward.
