The food is really good, but the atmosphere just sucks. Nevermind the lame, 90s hard rock. It's dingy, dark and not very inviting. The sidewalk doesn't have a ramp. There is one table designated for people with mobility concerns and devices. It's in a corner that is almost pitch black. I had to use my flashlight to see the menu. I think it's the worst of the O2's in Edmonton. My steak sandwich was delicious. As were the sweet potato fries. Done just right. The nachos with chicken were awesome too. Nice and cheesy. The service was adequate. The table was sticky. They should put closed captioning on the television. Since the horrible music is the priority, I'd at least like to "read" whats going on in sports. In my continuing search for a "local" in Mill Woods, I decided to check out 02's, as I have had positive experiences in other locations. The first time I stopped in, it was just for a beer, and I was impressed. The place was clean, the service excellent, and the beer frosty and delicious. Shoutout to Kaylee for being awesome. Trip 2, I stopped in for lunch and got a lunch special Falafel Tortilla Wrap with veggies and dip on the side. This was a delicious, light option, and was really good. The service this day was simply superb. I did not catch the server's name, but she is doing great work. The other night, I was on my own for dinner, and stopped in here to try something from the burger menu. My server this night was Stephanie, and she too was amazing. I ended up with the Crimini Mushroom Burger, with the 02's Special Salad on the side. This was one of the most delicious burgers I have ever eaten, and the salad was amazing. (she had me at "Goat Cheese") All in all, some of the best bar food I've had. 02's Millwoods is pretty much in the bag as my new hangout. They have everything I like in a bar. Good beer on tap, excellent food, and lovely, charming servers, providing superb service. 02's seem to have a winning formula. Every location I have visited over the years has been an improvement on whatever had been there before, and I can see why they are thriving. This location, though is my favourite to date. Eat here. Was here recently with a coworker and really enjoyed my lunch. I had their Beef dip with onion rings and it was delicious. The beef dip was piled high on a delicious and chewy long bun. It was nice and juicy and had au jus to dip. The au jus was flavorful but not salty enough for me. The onion rings were crispy and plentiful. My friend ordered the lettuce wraps and she really enjoyed them as well. read more

O2's on a Saturday as part of a group - hockey funsraiser and Oilers on tv. Decent atmosphere. Drinks were great and reasonably priced. Food.... unsure because we never received our order. And even when they came to apologize and we stated we still wanted it, another hour passed... nothing. Took 30-45 mins to get drinks. Worst service I've probably ever had. Won't return. read more

Gave O2's in Millwoods another try tonight and have upped my original of 3 to 4 based on a little TLC and positive changes it seems management has made. I thought the music selection was great. A good mix of current alternative and indie/folk. The decor and atmosphere are a big step up from a typical sports bar. It's really clean and tidy. So many televisions showing sportsing of all kinds. I like their selection of arcade games. I noticed the staff rushing to take in the really lovely patio flowers when it started to rain. It seems someone put a lot of thought into the atmosphere. We received excellent service. Our waitress made recommendations and chatted a bit. She paid attention to drink levels which I always appreciate. The menu is smaller than I remember it to be which I think is a change for the better. In my experience when I see a huge menu it usually means that the kitchen doesn't specialize in anything and the food is only ever just ok. A few of the menu items were kind of unique and sounded interesting. I want to return to try out the spinach and quinoa salad and their poutine burger. We went with the donair tacos and wings. The tacos weren't bad. The sauce tasted really good but there was way too much of it and sat on top which seemed like an unwise decision and made for really messy eating. I remember really loving the fish tacos which aren't on the menu any longer. The wings were tasty, a lot overdone which is the way I happen to like them but likely not how everyone likes them. I do prefer them saucier than they were served to me. There were some interesting sauces and dry rub options to choose from. This is minor but the veggies served on the side of my wings were pretty wet and sad looking. I do happen to believe that the details matter and make the difference from a place being ok to becoming a familiar haunt. I think what's missing in the food is some thoughtfulness and attention to detail. I'm really rooting for this place. My section of Millwoods seriously lacks quality dining out choices. A nice menu with several options. 4. There is not a bad seat in the house to watch a game. More large screens than I've seen in most places. 5. Decent prices. The two of us went here for dinner on a Saturday night at 7:00. I ordered the chicken club sandwich and he ordered a pizza. The tomatoes on my sandwich were green/unripe, the seven strands of shredded lettuce were from the core, and the bacon was raw and fatty. The "chicken breast" was one breast cut into a third. The ciabatta bun was basically expired, it fell apart as I bit into the sandwich. The price was $14. The $14 pizza made a Dr. Oetker's look homemade. All toppings were 100% nitrate and previously frozen, the cheese was sparse and unmelted, and overall it was cold. The bartender noticed my full plate and simply took it away. We watched as he went to the staff corner with our plates and they all laughed. Please go out of business. read more

used to love this place but then i had to deal with a nasty bartender, i was only short a dollar an i forgot i had the dollar on my card but when i tried to use my coin and debit she said no its o'k and sold me the beer... now don't get me wrong that was great but at the same time she made me feel like garbage because she doesn't feel as if i'm goin come back an pay my dues but i always do and its funny because im a regular there... but to top it off, she hands back 15 cents and tells me we don't accept that, only quarters an loonies. First time I came to this bar I could tell it was a great place to come and drink and hang out! The bartender Ari is super friendly and nice! He makes sure your drinks are always filled and has lots of great recommendations for drinks. The servers are also super great and friendly !! Kessler and Jade have both served me as well different times I was there. They are both super great friendly servers!!! Music is good as well!! The food and drink special are awesome too! Different specials running every night. Great place to come get a bite and a drink or two. Also great karaoke hosted on Sunday's. Super fun. Great crowd!!! O2s has always been one of my favorite pubs in Edmonton, I've been a customer in downtown location for more than 2 years now, This one is basically the same, great food, great drinks and a nice environment for individuals or groups. Prices are responsible and staff are so nice and friendly, The only reason I'm not giving the 5 star is, at the O2s downtown the bartender "spencer" is so good that he set the standards so high that you when you come here, you feel something is missing. Recommend for everyone if you are looking to spend some quality time alone or with friends, not a good place to find friends as the crowd is nice as nice as you expect it to be. read more

We have now come here two Fridays in a row and have had awesome service. The staff here is very friendly and attentive. We have also never had a problem with our food and it arrives quickly, no matter how busy it is! I enjoy coming here I believe it will be our new Friday night bar. There is a group of around 8-15 of us that go out on Fridays after work.. So thank you to the staff at O2's Millwoods for making it a great experience!! You guys rock!!! read more

I've tried this place several times (like 12 or more) and honestly it was a hit and miss. Food ok, but nothing to write home about, but the service is what bring me back to a place, and sadly, the service here is far from good. Me and my buddies are on the wrong side of 40 and not covered in tats so we couldn't get the attention of our server one time cuz she was too busy flirting with a couple of tatted up guys. Most of the time, if you want service or another drink, you have to get up and walk up to the server who's leaning against the bar texting. There was one server who was exceptional, but the rest were awful. I've only ever been here during the day so cant tell you what it's like at night, but don't think I will bother going back. May as well just go down to the Brewhouse or BPs or Public Eatery. At least the service is good and attentive. (and these chicks wonder why they don't make the big tips). I honestly don't think I would give O2's another chance. Why ruin my day be having lunch there? read more
