We went here again because when you sign up to be a Canadian Brewhouse member, you get free golden garlic fingers and my offer was about to expire. I am not sure if it is because there is different management here, but my experience here is sooooo much better then the Canadian Brewhouse by MacEwan University. Service is better and food is much better. I would reccomend if you like this place, to come here rather then the downtown location. So we ordered the golden garlic fingers and since it was brunch I thought I would try the brunch menu. I decided on the steak and 3 eggs orded poached, while my husband ordered the crunch buffalo chicken burger with fries. Service was good. The waitress informed us that our food may come out a bit later because there was a table of 20 that ordered, which was appreciated. And actually, the wait wasn't that long. When the food came out it was yummy. I was very surprised in the goledn garlic fingers, they were flavourful and cheesy and plentiful. The marinara sauce was really bursting with flavour too. I would never normally order this type of thing on the menu, but I would order this again. My steak and eggs were good. The eggs were poached as how I asked them, the hashbrowns were crispy and golden, toast was lovely and the steak was decent. It was cooked well, however, it lacked flavour. A splash of steak spice would have done it wonders. Saying that though, it came with a creamy steak sauce that was super yummy for dipping. My husband's meal was pleasant enough. He was pleased with the large chicken patty on it, and it was juicy. I think that we will come here as our local place. I generally avoid chain restaurants, but this *(and Nandos) will be the exception. read more

The Canadian Brewhouse is still a top dinner out choice for us! I looked back and the last time I wrote a review for this place was 2 years ago! So felt like it was time for an update! And honestly I still give this place full stars. Recently we came cause we have the app and hubby got a free platter of nachos for his birthday- you do still need to purchase a drink but that's okay with me! And any extras like meat or more salsa is a cost. Last visit we hit the brisket which was very delightful but the time before we had ground beef and I also quite liked that choice (plus it's a tad cheaper). The thing I love the most is how crazy fast food always comes out! Felt like no wait time st all for our nachos to come out and when you go to eat out with kids this is a huge plus! The staff are always great, lots of parking at this location, really nice individual bathrooms. Plus fun hockey stick baby high chairs what more could you want?! Won a free pasta party for 20 people! There is a box you put your business card into to "win free lunch" and I did! Free mini salad, free bread stick and full sized pasta. Staff were super friendly and quick with the refills. They were very tolerant of the kids who were running around for a bit. Salad was a little disappointing but the pastas were all 10/10. Very generous of them to gift this to me and I 100 % recommend then as a great place to hangout and grab a drink. Huge variety of drinks. Came here to watch the hockey game,, it's definitely a lively place and lots of fun!! Our server was great, very friendly and attentive!! Hubby ordered a donair pizza in which he enjoyed, I got the beef dip,, we'll just say, not too good!! Even though the bun used was toasted, it was hard!! The beef was somewhat fatty in certain bites and also chunky bites of hard chewy brisket!! The au jus, was watered down with little flavor other than salt. I probably ate half and the other half I fed to my dog!! I wrapped it up and saved it for when I got home. If it wasn't for the great service and the fun vibe with the game being on,,, I would have given a 3 star. I will go back again but definitely will not order the beef dip!!! Our server was absolutely exceptional. His name was Stephan. He was fast, attentive and came back to our table often to make sure we were taken care of. All during game one of the SCF. He has an incredible personality, making us laugh often and made the experience a lot of fun. We came here with a big group (7 adults and 3 kids). They were so good at attending to our table. They got slammed when we got their so we had to wait a bit longer for the food but they communicated that with us so we were aware! The menu is quite extensive and they really do appetizers well! They have GF and vegetarian options as well. We ordered a ton of appetizers for the table (Ogopogo Onion Rings, Taters Supreme, Golden Garlic Fingers, Brewhouse Wings, Tempura Cauliflower, and Spicy Kactus Chips). The onion rings were delicious (as well as all the accompanying sauces). We never received the taters supreme. The garlic fingers were phenomenal and I highly recommend them. The cauliflower was good and crispy. You have all the options of the wing sauces so it's a nice option for the vegetarians. The katus chips were spicy and the dip ratio was way off! Servers were swamped but still very pleasant. She suggested that what we ordered was enough for the table (not trying to upsell us) but we decided to order a few dishes (Caesar salad and Tuna Poke Rice Bowl but swap tuna for beyond meat). It's a chain sports bar. Expensive for what you get. Ordered their lunch special lasagna. It wasn't a meal it was starter sized. I mentioned to the server and she just gave me a blank look. The other pasta dish was big. And beer is very expensive. I'm done, will not throw my money away. But a good place for sports and you have to get happy hour to get any deals. New patio in the neighborhood. It's very shaded on a very sunny and hot day. Thank goodness for the breeze. Artificial turf upstairs. Draft beer, beef& cheddar on Yorkshire pudding (nice good sized portion of 4). The Brussels sprouts were tasty and cooked just right. Cajun shrimp salad, spicy shrimp and a crispy salad, dressing always on the side. Our server was friendly and attentive. We'll be back. They have lots of daily specials on food and drink. Now for an update. We went back a week after the previous visit and it was not a good thing. We couldn't order the appetizers that we had before because the kitchen couldn't keep up. What we did order was steak bites that were chewy, inconsistent sizes and all over not up to standard. The Cajun shrimp salad - overcooked shrimp, way too much seasoning. Caesar salad was not even comparable to a bag salad from the grocery store. Our grand daughter ordered a quesadilla and usually will gobble it up, she took one bite and said she didn't like it. It took 15 minutes after we got our appetizer before we got utensils. The server seemed to have a lot of tables and not enough help. She was an excellent server and checked back with us through our meal. The food was tasty and the patio was a great place to catch up with a friend. I enjoyed the atmosphere of this brew house. Attended with my wife and daughter for supper. Orders were brought to the table quickly and accurately. It was wings Wednesday so we had to partake in that. Food was hot and was very good. Three out of four times I've visited they've been out of a certain beer I've ordered. Three options were missing my last visit. This place seems too big to succeed, servers spread very thin. A very cool building for a restaurant but they've yet to find the talent to match. Was told my beer was just being poured but it never turned up. Don't expect someone to drop by your table to see how your food comes out. As much as I'd love to catch a game or a pre-movie meal, the service isn't good or quick enough for Canadian Brewhouse to ever be my #1 choice with other establishments just steps away. We went to the newest neighborhood place this evening. Was to be Taco Tuesday, but due to being newly opened their menu was much smaller than it was supposed to be. Ordered drinks and the blended raspberry margs (made with real raspberries) were FABULOUS -- Thanks Ronan! They were supposed to be $4.99 on Tues.; but I guess because I wanted a blended one I had to pay $7.99. Ordered two appys because we thought that would be a nice change instead of a big meal. The Bacon wrapped jalapeno peppers were wonderful -- great flavor and not overcooked. Ordered the steaks bites -- but they ran out. So we'd decided to try the ribs -- they were out! Had the Phili Cheesesteak sandwich with onion rings. The rings were considered an upgrade, which I thought would be given to us as a compensation for not having enough food on the menu. The sandwich was good, not anything to rave about but OK. The onion rings had a crumble coating but they were REALLY crunchy which is what we like -- I usually prefer the battered ones; but I would definitely order these again.
