Bodhi was absolutely wonderful! When we first starting planning our wedding, my husband's friend was going to take pictures for us. He was a previous photographer and had all the equipment he said he needed. Fast forward to a little over a month before our wedding and he tells us that he can no longer photograph our wedding due to personal issues. Way to stress me out! We had spent our budget and all the photographers we contacted were either booked already or way out of our budget since I had not initially included the cost of a photographer. After endless days of research, for whatever reason Craigslist popped into my head and after a brief search for "Wedding Photographer" Bodhi's ad popped up. I instantly loved his pictures featured on his website and immediately contacted him via text message. He got back to me within 2 hours, thats a miracle in itself when compared to the others I tried to contact. He was available to meet with him pretty much that very same weekend. We met him and liked his attitude and booked him. At our wedding, he arrived early to scope out the place and look for various places to take pictures and got pictures of all the tablescapes and decorations. He was greet with dealing with our guests and our temperamental flower girls since one of them wasn't feeling good, he never got frustrated with her nor us and just went with the flow. After all our formal pictures were taken we asked him to go around and see if any of the guests wanted individual pictures and he did! All of our guests who took advantage of that already told us they want those pictures and they plan to print them out and display them. Our wedding was this past Saturday, the 8th and we already received our pictures (on the following Tuesday, the 11th). We hired Bodhi to take our family photos to celebrate out parent's 50th wedding anniversary. Our decision was influenced by a few factors: 1) Unlike some other photographers, he replied to our questions fairly quickly and we were able to book a photo session. Some photographers didn't even reply to our e-mails. 2) He has a great gallery on his website, while other photographers either don't have as many or the images aren't very big. We saw an island in one of the galleries and we asked if we could have our photo session there also... and he said it was a perfect setting for sunset photos. 3) When I told my parents about the family photo shoot, they worried that it would be a formal shoot, but Bohdi made it fun and relaxed. We felt a little silly in some poses, but like he explained, this made the pictures turn out great. So definitely follow his instructions. :) And, yes, we are very happy with the results. We travelled from Australia for our mothers 70th birthday and Bodhi captured our family portrait on the beach in Waikiki. Let me start out by saying, if you're curious about Bodhi's work (that's probably why you're here reading reviews), don't worry. Bodhi is the best photographer I've worked with and that you'll have. He took my pre-wedding photos and also my wedding reception photos. All of them turned out amazing- vibrant, clear, and most of all captured our true selves. My guests cannot stop raving about my pictures. They are just that spectacular! Bodhi is amazing to work with. I found Bodhi online when I was looking for a photographer who could capture our family on the beach, our first time to Hawaii! As I narrowed down my search for a photographer, I really loved Bodhi's galleries online. I loved the way he would capture a family with drops of water flying as children raced through the water or a wave crashing on a rock as a family stood in a perfect rosy glow from a beach sunset. When I contacted photographers with our available dates, I was really impressed with Bodhi. He responded in less than 24 hours, sent an email with pictures as examples of what he could do based on my inquiries and had specific location ideas. I also loved that he would edit ALL the images in the package. It really sealed the deal too when he was willing to do TWO locations and TWO dates to get the perfect shots for a very reasonable price. I was so pleased to meet him and he was such a joy to work with. My kids had a great time splashing around in the water and he captured gorgeous shots that are very natural and full of movement and life. He had a really artistic eye, and his editing was so stunning (without looking fake). You could tell Bodhi was having fun with our family, it was fantastic. Finally, he was professional from first contact, to the actual shoot, to afterwards. He was on time (even early!) both days and he immediately had photos up and edited on the gallery to choose from.
