The death of a loved one is a time of deep distress and Arthur was wonderful in the way he worked with me and our family. I also want to note that I live in Austin, TX, so some of the coordination was done on phone/text/email. We had a Hindu religious ceremony and services and Arthur assisted ably with that. The option for wake from 3-7 was ideal on a Sunday night and Church at 11. My mother passed on Thursday but Arlington cemetery requires 2 days for which they originally said they were not going to accommodate us with burial Monday. Timothy drove down there to talk to a manager and was able to get us Monday after all. I wish I had taken all names of those that partook in our Wake & funeral services but Id like to whole heartily thank them all for such class & service. Everything was organized and not one hiccup for a loss we were not ready for at any age! Thanks again Tim, and everyone who was part of our mothers services - stellar support and true professionals. The struggles I had because I was doing a graveside service and first place wouldn't help me so I thought I could not use a funeral home that did not do the cremation on my father . I was extremely stressed and Leo truly said " Leah do not worry , we can do this no problem " and that is the point everything fell into place . Other things came up that had nothing to do with them ,it was the florist ( Ava's flowers HORRIBLE ) and Leo and his co workers jumped into action and took care of it when they did not have to ! Breslin Funeral Home was our families friend. Family members grew up together, went to same…read morechurch. Multi-generations used Breslin for our funeral needs - Grandparents, parents, siblings, etc. My mom, who recently passed (May 2020) pre-paid for her funeral costs 10 years ago. The funds were held in escrow with my name and Mr. Breslin's. I was pleasantly surprised when Mr. Breslin emailed me and said I would be receiving a refund of $260.00! He explained that the pandemic type services were far less costly than traditional wake/funeral mass etc. He also explained how the cost of everything in his industry has escalated! But $260.00 will help with the cost of engraving my moms name on her tombstone. That was last May. I have called once a week since, and emailed more often. Mr. Breslin refuses to acknowledge my communications and has yet to send the check! I am filing in small claims court tomorrow. He will loose, I have his email acknowledging the refund due. And he will cover all court fees. In his business I expect compassion, integrity, and adult communication skills.

I stumbled upon this cemetery while running some errands near City Hall Plaza in Medford. According to the signage, the cemetery has been in use since the 1600s and is a historical site. It's pretty small and can be walked through in about 5-10 minutes. There's a few neat dead heads on tombstones and I guess some noteworthy Medford citizens buried here. His rude, sarcastic demeanor and inappropriate comments showed a clear lack of professionalism and emotional intelligence. Almost as if he was giddy and high on something. Given the sensitivity of this profession and the family legacy behind the business, his behavior fell FAR below the standard one would expect--especially for someone entrusted with guiding grieving families and guests. He appeared ill-suited for a role that demands compassion, respect, and dignity. I would not recommend this funeral home. He's a slob.
