Since they keep deleting my review on Google, I'm posting it over here. As many times as you (the owners) delete it, I will just keep putting it back up. The reason being that PARENTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW AND DESERVE TO KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR FACILITY! My daughter started here over 4 years ago and I had a very pleasant experience until this last year or so. I knew the place had gone down hill after the new owners took over, but I was unaware of just how badly. The staff there is completely negligent and can't be bothered with properly taking care of the children they're suppose to be supervising. The staff keeps quitting and they seem to keep hiring younger and younger employees that talk rudely to the children. I've heard and seen the staff yell at kids and tell them to shut up. I've walked in on teachers allowing the kids to use YouTube and watch inappropriate videos such as The Muffin Song, for example. This last month or so my daughter kept telling me about so many things that were going on there and how the teachers don't care. Some were happening to her and some to other children. Children would physically and verbally bully other kids and staff would not intervene. This happened to my daughter and she had to physically defend herself more than once. I would address my concerns with Mrs. Beverly, the director, and I didn't feel heard or satisfied that my complaint would be thoroughly looked into. The last straw for me was another child making sexual comments towards my daughter and another young girl. Then a few days later I was alerted that breakfast was not being provided to my child before being taken to school and that the daycare has forgotten to pick her up from school more than once, which they did not inform me of. When I addressed this with the office I knew nothing would come of my complaint and I made the decision then to begin looking for another daycare and remove my daughter from a place I no longer felt was safe. While I was in the process of finding another daycare I went onto the Texas Health and Human Services website and looked into Oak Leaf. I was shocked to find out that since the new owners have taken over they've had 69 violations since 10/25/2017 and as recent as a few months ago! Everything from hiring employees without completing background checks, not providing water to children, one staff member actually hit a child, unsupervised children outside, staff not aware of how many kids they have in their classrooms, releasing a child to an adult without verifying their ID to see if they were approved to do so which the person was not authorized to do, a child outside with no clothing and unsupervised, leaving cleaning chemicals in places easily accessible to the kids, staff allowing kids to physically fight, and so many more! It's all there on the Texas Health and Human Services website. So, if you don't take my word for it, look it up for yourself and see it with your own eyes. This is place is unsuitable to care for children. DO NOT trust them with your precious babies. When the owner found out I was transferring my daughter she actually called me to ask why. I explained to her everything I was concerned about and brought up everything I'm writing in this review. She tried to justify all the violations and made statements like "it's not what it looks like" and "it didn't happen the way the state inspectors wrote in their reports". To me, that is unacceptable to try to shift blame and not accept responsibility for the things that are clearly going on in their facility. The only positive thing left there is Mrs. Cheryl. Great school for my toddler . Everyone makes mistakes. I love seeing my son so happy this school he was always at home since he was 2 me and my fiance decided it was time for preschool. My son loves to tell me how much fun he has with his teacher and also with the kids. read more

I absolutely love this facility. I love the new improvements that they have done with the place, and I especially enjoy how creative the staff is with keeping the kids busy during this COVID-19 pandemic. Huge shoutout to staff in front for always greeting my two kids with a lovely smile. read more

My daughter loves this school! She has been here since the age of 6 months. She loves coming here everyday and meeting all her friends and teachers! The teachers, Owners, and directors are all amazing.I feel more safe since they added a security door in the front and cameras around the building. All in all I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking around the Rowlett/Garland area. Great experience! read more

Enrolled my son here this last year, and he always comes back home excited to tell me about what he's learned! It's been tough to find a good daycare to bring him to, especially during COVID times, but the folks at Oak Leaf are incredibly considerate of social distancing measures and great to converse with as well! It's clear that the teachers really love their job and treat the kids with great care. Couldn't be happier. read more

I absolutely love this daycare from the owners, to the directors, to the staff my infant daughter has gone here since she was 8 weeks old she is always extremely happy when I drop her off she is jumping out of my arms to see her teachers, and when I pick her up extremely happy. Even though she is an infant they do so many things with the babies in the classroom and I love the weekly artwork. They are very understanding when something comes up and if I'm tight with money they work with me on getting my account paid. I drive 15 minutes out of my way to take my daughter to this daycare. I wouldn't want my daughter Brooklyn going anywhere else. read more

My grandson went there until recently. He is a year old and has been bit by other children in his class at Oak Leaf at least 4 times, and nothing was done about it by the school! Two times so bad that entire mouth teeth marks were left on his face and hand! Where are the teachers when all of this is going on? I would not recommend this place to anyone with a child that cannot speak up and protect themselves. read more

Oak leaf kids academy is a great daycare, my little nephew goes there and he loves it and always learns something new everyday but what I like most is that this particular daycare just gives you a great feeling of happiness and just because the teachers care so much and love the kids! It's also affordable which is great for everyone! If you are looking for childcare services oak leaf kids academy is the way to go! :) read more

I want to start off by saying that I NEVER write reviews on companies regardless if my experience is horrible or great. However, I feel like I need to spread awareness to my experience with this daycare. My son starting attending this daycare prior to the new lady taking ownership. We've never had any issues until the new owner took over. Constantly seeing new faces and the staff do not even know your children by name. Today, my 8 year old son was able to walk out of the front door without anyone knowing or stopping him. He was walked to the back of the school where the after schoolers wait for the morning bus run. My boyfriend was able to walk all the way back out front to the canopy, strap our two year old into the car, get into the drivers seat, start the car & put it into gear, and then my son comes out and starts pulling on the door handle and knocking on the car door to get in. Not ONE person stopped my son. The owner of the daycare, & the manager sitting in the office!!!!! Did not even see my son until he was already being walked back in by my boyfriend. When I called the daycare, the owner immediately got defensive. She said she saw my son leave, & she saw my boyfriend still in the parking lot, so that makes it "okay." My son could have been hit by a car and she's okay with that because "she could see him from the front desk." She tried to change the subject and direct blame on my child. Saying "there are times when they tell him not to run, but he doesn't listen. & she can't go chasing him if he runs. She can't leave the building." I was absolutely appalled and disturbed by this statement. She has absolutely no concern about the well being of your children or your childrens' safety. I immediately made arrangements for my son to never attend this center ever again. Run, don't walk, far away from this daycare.!!!! read more

This is a terrible daycare, they are not watchful over the kids. The worst place I could have left my kids at. Both of my kids came home crying from that place. Never again!! After talking to the owner she did not care about my conserns much less my kids. If you love your kids invest somewhere else. read more
