Omg!!! My nephew loves his teacher Ms. Marisha infant class. She's very welcoming attentive also acts like a caring parent to children that are not her own loving environment. She always greets my nephew by his name also other children as well again a very laid back non chaotic atmosphere. I also want to thank Ms. Bridget in the school age classroom. My niece's and nephew which are 7,6 & 5 never wants to leave. Thank you , both for being amazing teacher as there are far and few in-between good ones left. My son started 2 weeks ago. Going into 3rd week, he had 3 incidents in 2 days. Day 1- I was told he closed his hand in a door. Day 2 morning - I was told he bit his tongue until it bled. However, he has no teeth. I was then told maybe he hit himself in the mouth with something. Day 2 evening - I was told he was bitten after struggling over a toy. Facilities are beautiful otherwise. My children went there for a year. In the beginning things seemed fine I have always liked the staff and never really had any major problems besides a normal diaper rash and a couple instances of dried feces in my children's diapers. However this last diaper rash was the final straw for me. I didn't like the obvious signs of neglect of my child and poor cleaning practices. We weren't even informed of the rash. I kindly and swiftly withdrew them from the school and found a new daycare. The director flipped from being kind and nice for the past year to being extremely rude and passive aggressive towards me. I'm glad I took my children out when I did because I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving them in the hands of such a cruel woman. read more

Quality of instruction has declined and there are too many kids in the classroom. My son's class had a minimum of 30 kiddos on the sign in sheet daily which is too many kids to ensure learning is taking place. We were there for about 1.5 years and I noticed that my son wasn't progressing so we pulled him out and switched him to another private school with stronger academics to prepare him for kindergarten. read more

I put my daughter on the waitlist for this daycare when I was 12 weeks pregnant because I was sure it would be a good fit. Then COVID happened and I kept her with me longer. When I finally had to put her in daycare and go back to work I was so disappointed with the level of communication from the staff here. COVID guidelines dictated that I drop her off at the door which was hard enough but when I would come to pick up my daughter they were so busy with everyone else that they couldnt tell me about her day...my daughter is too young to tell me about her day so I would wait and ask how her day went but the director, Kathy, had not spent the day with my child so she couldn't tell me anything. I didnt meet her teacher until much later but I still didnt get much information out of them. I knew they were busy and didnt want to take too much time asking but the reaction I got made me feel like they thought I was an inconvenience. Also, they were not changing my daughter often enough. She had extreme diaper rash whenever she was with them but it immediately cleared up when I would take her out of daycare. They were not putting her diaper on correctly either. The diaper would be only on one cheek when I would pick her up and on the way home she would have accidents in the car that caused us to have to do major cleanup. I took her out of daycare for the summer and when I needed to start back I called and asked if there was anything new that I needed to know coming back and was assured that everything was the same. I showed up and they said that the rate had gone up, that she would be in a different class, and they hadnt even informed the staff that my daughter was coming back. The class that my daughter was moved to was overcrowded. I would pick her up at the end of the day and she would be screaming, crying, and shaking from overstimulation. I paid out the 2 weeks and immediately put her in another daycare and it is a night and day difference in my child! She's happy and smiles more when we get her home. So in summary: 1) they do not communicate well. 2) they were not able to care for my baby because of staffing issues. 3) I didnt always know who was working with my child and what she was being taught(they said they were teaching sign language but when I asked what they were working on no one ever knew) I would not recommend this daycare. read more

We love Children Safari!!!! Always clean! Gorgeous inside and out! Kathy is Great and my daughter absolutely love this place. The food even smells good and we looked at alot of daycares and most of them smelled horrible during lunch. If you need a place to leave your kids look no further. We like this place so much we go 10 minutes each way of our way. They also have very reasonable prices. Not the cheapest but definitely not the most read more

We have had a wonderful experience at Children's Safari. Our daughter went here from about 1-3 years old. I always felt like she was well cared for, clean, fed, and truly loved by all her teachers. She learned so much during her time here. The facility is excellent, always clean and well kept. Management is great and they have excellent communication if your child is ever hurt or in need of something. The only reason we're leaving is because of a career/location change, otherwise she'd stay through Pre-K. I've referred several friends and they've also had great experiences. 100% recommend! read more

Our son has been at this daycare since he was 7lbs. My wife and I spent countless hours searching for the perfect daycare. We somehow stumbled on this place, and haven't looked back since. They are fully staffed, very clean, and an organized child care facility. It never smells like a huge diaper, and I never see cereal on the floor. If you've been looking at daycares you know what I'm talking about. They organize everything from 2-3 carnivals a year to having fire trucks come for the kids to see. My son is extremely hyper and has problems sitting still. They took the time and effort discussing with us what we all can do to figure out what works best for him. My wife and I sometimes joke that we didn't raise our son Ms. Cathy did. In some ways this is true. My son says yes sir yes ma'am all the time, and has many other great characteristics because of this place. Our son was here from 7am - 6pm 5 days a week. They are with him more than we are, and he is a wonderful son. This speaks volumes to the amount of care they give they're children. So if your in the area and in need of part-time parents, this is your place!! You won't regret it!! read more

My son has attended this Daycare since he was eight weeks old. I recently had to pull him out because we had to move and I am so sad to leave. Everyone from the teachers, assistant directors, to the director herself really care about the kids and it shows. I highly recommend this is Daycare and if I could give them 10 stars I would. I began searching for a child care solution for my son when I was 5 months pregnant because I knew it would take forever for me to be comfortable with a person/place. I used to work in daycare and I was VERY hesitant to place him into one because of past experiences. After visiting several centers and speaking to a few in home providers, I happened upon Children's Safari. FIRST LOOK: When I drove up, I noticed that the building was pretty and clean, grounds were well maintained, parking lot had no trash or potholes, gates were in great shape separating the playground area from the lot and the playground and toys were very nice looking and clean. I had to wait for an office administrator to come to the door and let me in because you are unable to enter without a personal keypad code, which I love. Inside, the front office staff was extremely nice and professional and did not seem the least bit hesitant to show me around and answer my questions, even though I dropped by unscheduled. The director showed me all of the classrooms, the gym, outside, kitchen and basically everything because I asked to see it all. The design is extremely beautiful inside and it does not look like a daycare with wood floors, nice candles and a home atmosphere. Another thing I noticed was that the place was very clean... I mean, everywhere I looked was clean and I examined the baseboards, windowsills and everything! Impressive. After my tour of the facility, the director invited me to attend their upcoming graduation celebration to get a little more insight on the school. SECOND VISIT: Two months later, I decided to swing by the celebration and check it out with my husband. I was very impressed by the setup, to say the least. They did a full blown ceremony for the graduating kindergarteners and had a bounce house, petting zoo, carnival games, face painting, small train ride and everything outside. The teachers were there and I could see children running up and hugging them and the teachers were attentive and friendly to the children. I showed my husband around inside and we spoke to the teachers that would be in our son's room if he attended there. We both felt really good about the place and decided to put the deposit down and secure him a spot for when he would begin. WHAT I THINK NOW: My son is now 9 months old and still attending Children's Safari. I still absolutely love the place. His teachers are so nice and he has had the same ones since he started there, with the exception of Ms. Juani who had to give up her position there due to medical limitations. Everyone was sad to see her go, but the teacher that has been there since (Ms. Myra) is fantastic with my baby and the others. Ms. Lori has been there the whole time my son has and is great as well! Other teachers that fill in have been wonderful and always tell me how great my son is, which is comforting. Even if I come to get him at an unexpected time, I can always look through the classroom door and see soemone either playing with my son, holding him or he is happy as can be in a bouncer. The office takes care of anything and everything that needs to be handled, anything that needs to be brought to my attention is done in a timely manner and always with a professional attitude and smile. My son is ALWAYS happy to see his teachers, never cries when I leave him and is happy when I pick him up. I absolutely recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality care for their child at a decent rate! read more

We went to many childcare centers in the area. We got lost in Mesquite and happened to stumble across this one but it wasn't on our list to visit. We took a tour of the place and we were impressed by how well the owner connected to our son (3yr old at the time). You could tell she loves being around children and tried to get my son to open up, he was very shy after seeing so many childcare places. He's been enrolled there since July 2014 and we've had no complaints. They're good at helping the children develop and grow. The facilities are top notch compared to the other places we visited. We would recommend them to anyone and you should definitely stop by to visit. read more

This day care has an issue with over crowding. Every morning lately, the classes have too many kids than allowed. It is every morning. I get there later than everyone else. Two year olds are sent to older rooms. Other littler kids 3 and so are sent to Pre-K. A couple or mornings, kids were at the front office because every class was over crowded. read more

first things first I wish I had gone to see this place before enrolling my kid in this daycare. My husband went because I was at work and he enrolled him because he liked the way the interior looked. With this being said, the interior being nice does not compensate for the energy this place gave me the first time I step foot in this place. For one, I was not greeted, and I may have a rbf most of the time, but I am a nice person with manners - so if you don't acknowledge the front staff (includes owner) they won't acknowledge you. Second thing, my son got hit twice by 2 different boys, and I found out through him. Let me just say, my son has a speech problem, so it is hard sometimes to understand him but he told me multiple times that it hurts because of "boo boo" by the kids names. My kid, does not complain unless it really hurts, so I knew he was in pain. These incidents happened in two different occasions, and none were brought to my attention by any of the staff. Now when it comes to my son I go crazy, so I refrained from going for a couple days, and my husband went to talk to them. When it happened again, I just came to the conclusion he will not be coming back here. Just think twice before enrolling your precious little one here. read more

This place needs work. Please don't let the impressive interior fool you. Maybe if they spent more time on hiring better staff and teachers, the school would be ok. My kids complain and I have heard from other parents about the same complaints. I hear from my children that several children are getting picked on through out the day. This keeps on happening and I have talked to the staff several times and brought it to their attention. Nothing is ever done. I don't see anything bright coming out of this school, not even the children. Send your children elsewhere so they will actually be at a creditable childcare. All this place cares about is collecting your paycheck so they can keep the school looking new. read more

WORST DAYCARE EVER RUN!!! The fact that Children's Safari claims to be Christian base, is Bologna...They utilize that as a loop hole so they dont have to Report Certain incidents throughout the day. In the short time my child was there which was 7 months, felt like an eternity for me. 4 times out of the week i would have to sign an incident report. Ex: child fell on playground and cut their eye (which is actually a slab of concrete or driveway for the buses, no swings or actually playground), child was bitten by their friends, (not a friend), child fell off the table while eating, (really?). List goes on. They didn't change diaper as often that is required, nor feed USDA standards meals, cake and candy is not proper nutrition. They and charged me for supply 6 times a year. I've only had the wool pulled over my eyes once, but it never involved my children or broke my heart like the neglect displayed at Children's Safari. From outside to inside the school is totally beautiful; the decor and scented candles reminded me of home, and I immediately trusted them. The teachers were constantly being moved/replaced, which forced the director to hire anyone that walked through the door. My son, which was in the toddler room, was constantly exposed to sick kids. I'm talking green snot running into the kids mouth, which I immediately reported! I caught the teachers grabbing the toddlers by their arms and pushing them against the wall, so that they could "clean" their classrooms. The kids would scream and cry, and the teachers would ignore them while cleaning or talking to one another! My son received a huge knot and cuts on his face with no explanations given. This was the final straw! I was told by the director that she had 250 kids, and that she nor the two present teachers could not tell me what happened to my son. I spoke with the director, and she was unfazed nor passionate about keeping the children safe and happy. It was clearly about the money, so please don't allow their bogus "Christian" foundation blind you into believing that they love their "neighbors" or your children. read more
