I recently broke a tooth and needed a dentist. I pass by Oak Park Dental daily and my adult daughter even suggested giving them a try. They were able to get me in quickly. I told them about how I get anxiety at dentists and was given the option to have nitrous. Everything was explained to me on how they would temporarily fix it and I explained how I wanted a bridge. I was set up got a cleaning and then today got prepped for a bridge. Unlike other places where I feel like my anxiety was not addressed the staff was very calming and polite. I have established Oak Park as my dental office and now my husband has as well. We will definitely be recommending this offi e to others for their dental needs. read more

Oak Park dental was for the most part a good experience. In fact, they female DDS was very skillful and kind . However, after reviewing all their charges and comparing them with my dental insurance claims there were some questionable discrepancies. I brought this up to the front desk clerk and she replied to me as if she was doing me a favor. She kept saying she could not find the actual balance, yet her PC monitor showed there was an overcharge balance of approx. $400 in my favor. This coincided with copies of my last receipts and statements. She then added they will have have to audit my account to clarify this which was going to take 3 day or so. Two months later... noone contacted me. Very classy. I guess I should've paid more attention to customers numerous negatives reviews online. I'm still disappointed but no longer bothered by it. Definitely quite the professional place. I had a lot of reservations about getting my teeth done since they were bad and I felt this overwhelming anxiety that they'd be mean or overcharge me. Not at all. It was $17 to be seen, and after that they let me know what needed to be done and then brought someone to the back where I was being seen to go over pricing with me. From there, she helped me sign up with Care Credit since I don't have dental insurance and they scheduled me upon approval! Very professional, very nice people! I have a root canal scheduled for Tuesday and I'm no longer freaking the F out. I know I'm in good hands. read more

Is this place a used car lot or a dental clinic? I was seen by Dr. Kelly today (06/23/2020) for pain and sensitivity in a tooth. The exam was fine, but afterwards, the lady up front in charge of the money, Cathi, put a lot of pressure on me to schedule a follow-up appointment for the next day. I needed to figure out how I was going to pay for the dental work recommended, so I told her I would call the office later to schedule my next appointment. (Plus, she made me feel uncomfortable.) About an hour and a half later, I called and asked if the appointment available the next day was still available. (I believe I spoke to Cathi again.) She said that that appointment was no longer available and that I would have to wait over a week to be seen by Dr. Kelly. Okay, no big deal, but I didn't feel that I could wait that long (I'm in pain!), so I decided I would try other dental clinics. I told my mom what happened, and she told me I should call Oak Park Dental back and ask to be seen by ANY dentist at the clinic. (They have several dentists there.) When I called a second time, I spoke to a different woman, Maria, who told me that the appointment with Dr. Kelly for the next day was still available if I wanted it, and she said that he had other available appointments this week. WTF? Was the first lady punishing me for not scheduling my follow-up appointment immediately? Who runs a business this way? Especially a business dealing with people experiencing pain? Oak Park Dental has permanently lost a patient. read more

Dr Stubblefield is the best dentist I've ever seen. He's so nice and super gentle. I had to have a tooth pulled and I didn't feel a thing, not even the shots. He took his time and didn't rush through it like some dentists do. I have really bad anxiety and he made sure I was comfortable through the entire process. I def recommend him. Everyone else was super nice too! His assistant was really nice and made me feel really comfortable the whole time. Def 5 stars! read more

After talking with my original dentist in Portland I am now positive that I did the right thing by walking out of my appointment for a tooth extraction with Dr. Kelly at Oakpark Dental in Salem/Keizer. NOBODY, especially a patient should be spoken to the way he spoke to me. He made a rash judgment of my character without ANY reason! My dentist in Portland said he would have done the same in my situation and took me in immediately to perform the extraction. I would NEVER speak to anyone the way this supposed professional spoke to me. Others said they would not have been so nice and urged me to file a complaint against him. The bond came off of my chipped tooth went to Oak Park Dental in the morning the receptionist gave me an appointment for that afternoon. After an xray and consult with Dr. Kelly he rebonded my tooth that same day! Dr. Kelly, Allison the dental assistant and Cathy were all great. Kind, efficient, and Dr. Kelly explained exactly how he was going to repair my tooth. They are also very affordable. I highly recommend them if you need dental work done. read more

My husband and I have been here in the past for emergency dental work and been served promptly and politely. This past week I had a crown fall off and that tooth held one end of my upper denture. They quickly took care of the tooth and got the crown rushed back for me so I could take off on a trip. The premises are quite nice and you are made to feel welcome which relaxes you. I have gone twice and am not sure I will keep the next cleaning appointment or not. I had insurance through a well known carrier. The first appointment the staff were all super great, and wonderful. The cleaning went smoothly, afterwards they had time to redo an old filling. Everything was taken care, the bill paid, and I went on my way without any issues with payment. Next visit went super fast, in and out. I thought the bill was covered by my insurance. Well I got a call today saying that at first the insurance company sent the check to me by mistake. I did receive a check, and I admit I should have called them to see what was going on but life got in the way. (Poor excuse I admit) Then the lady said that no, the dentist was out of network and I should have given them the check. I was baffled because if that is true, when I made the very first appointment, filled out the paperwork, gave them my insurance they should have explained that to me. Since they didn't state anything about being out of network I felt secure that I was dealing with a great company. I should have asked about that in the beginning, and I didn't. Yet I do feel that they should have asked if I was aware of the situation. I will of course pay the bill but I the lack of communication on the front end staff may make me go else where. read more

Excellent office! Billing experience, facility atmosphere and doctor interaction was all GREAT. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new dentist. I got in either same day or the next day in May when my jaw began hurting so bad I couldn't open it more than an inch. I saw one doctor that morning and he called in another doctor to look at me once it was determined I needed my wisdom teeth removed. They made me feel very comfortable with the options for anesthesia, as well as the billing procedures and price differences in my options. My dental benefit was less than the cost of my procedure so they laid both my options out clearly so I could decide what would work for me. They even gave me the "New Patient / No Insurance" self-pay exam pricing which was extremely low, in order to preserve what we could of my dental benefit. Also, they gave me a 5% cash payment discount on the difference of the cost of the procedure and the insurance benefit. AMAZING. I'm sorry to hear about the disappointments other people have experienced. All I can say is ask questions and don't stop until it makes perfect sense and you are satisfied with the agreement, even if you have to go all the way up to the administrator. read more

I've gone to this dentist for years, I love it! their new office is really nice. they really care about you and are really nice. I went for a cleaning about 2 months ago and out loud told the person I was with "I forgot my retainer case" and the lady at the front desk went out of her way and got me one!
