She was accommodating and helpful when we asked for grass seed and straw be placed on a second son's grave, there since 1999. Although it was disappointing that Greenwood mowers or management did not see to that w/o being asked, Penny handled it. I asked one time, she got it done, now grass is growing on his grave. I met with the owner today (Kim) about RE-deeding two plots my mother bought more than 20 years ago…read morewith her now deceased husband. She first asked if he had a will, I informed her that he did not and my mother was married to him when he died. I then provided a legal, durable POA, showing I am making all decisions in my mothers best interest. She said she had hesitations on the validity of it because it was not on an office letterhead (SMH) and further informed me that I could not alone make and decisions on the plots because she had a photo copy of moms deceased husband's obituary. She said there were four additional children/stepchildren listed and she needed to verify that they did not have any plans to use these plots. I then asked, are you saying you use a newspaper obituary as a legal document and over a durable POA. She said she could not defend a POA, but names on the obituary are real. I said, you know that obituary's are not verified sources, they are merely "news". She insisted that she is there as the owner to ensure everybody in the family's interest is her responsibility. Seriously delusional! And clearly does not understand business or law. I listened as she continued to explain, backtrack and mumble. I quit trying to make sense of it as I don't really care about the plots, her, whom they eventually will go to. I was simply trying to do the right thing and give them to someone needy, which I have full legal Power to do. Suggestion, find another peaceful resting place for your loved one.

One of the packs actually came open and made a huge mess all over my Michigan State sweater. I felt as if I had been attacked by this man. When I called the owner after the burial to report this bad behavior, rather than receiving an apology or explanation, I was curtly told that no employee there would do such a thing and that what he thew at me was likely just a box of Sunny Delight. I hope this is true. I love that sweater. But I will not wear it again if it has graveyard Fabreze on it. I love this place!
