First time here was with my toddler and second time around I came in alone to enjoy a meal. We were new to WI when we first came in and do believe Oakfire has one of the BEST cheese curds in town so far. We would always come back for them. My second trip left me disappointed because the zucchini pizza just did not do it for me. I wish the zucchini had a char on it. It was pretty raw. I was hesitant to send it back so finished my slice and toasted the pizza under broil once I got home. I made a reservation ahead of time for a Sunday at 12PM for 5 women and a one-year old baby. We were seated immediately when we walked in, even though one person from our party was running behind. Our waitress was wonderful, patient, and accommodating. I could kick myself for not remembering her name! We each ordered the bottomless mimosas and they were tasty! We tried the cranberry, orange, and grapefruit. We ordered the caprese salad and one person ordered the Caesar salad. I really enjoyed the caprese because I love balsamic and pesto! First time coming here. I been hearing about this place for a while and decided to try. Came in a Monday afternoon and shocking there wasn't many people. The food here is delicious. The pasta pilamano with chicken and shrimp is amazing. The salmon picatta was excellent. Both the margarita pizza the Soppreata pizza was very very good. The calamari was tasty, especially with the sauce. Get the grill fire cheese bread it's amazing. Oof! Could have, should have, would have..! This place has potential. I want to really enjoy this place. The food: good. The drinks: good. The atmosphere: good. The only problem - my biggest problem - the service. We waiting to be seated at 1230 today for 10 minutes. We were greeted in passing (fine) but had to wait even longer. Then we were seated, gave drinks and said we were ready to order and the server walked away. (At this point, I set a timer at which point I would have stood up and walked out.) Fortunately, they took our order..but then we waited some more. All of the waiting added up to where we are now rushing to eat (bruschetta, it was good) and now have to get our meals boxed up to go. We stopped by after a wake so pretty somber group in need of a drink. We found out they closed at 9pm and we weren't able to get there until a little before 8pm. However, they were very helpful and gracious with getting orders in promptly so we could have some time before needing to scram. Our group was stationed in the middle of the dining area so that worked out fine for us. Our server was friendly and helpful. She did a great job of keeping our orders straight which helped ease the panic of ordering as a group of 8. The apps and pizza were good. Wasn't a huge fan of the hot honey pepperoni but just a taste preference. The neapolitan style pizza was perfect. Things were a little pricey but still good. I would like to start by saying we were excited to visit ( the school gave a promotional coupon for free kids pizza with adult purchase) 4 adults and 4 kids.. the kids all got a Mikey mouse shaped pizza ( everyone of them was burnt and they only ate the middles) we ordered two sandwiches w/ fries and two ind. pizzas. Also a bruschetta... the bruschetta was good except for the hair that my daughter got in it so we didn't finish that " yuck".. my pizza was burnt but still doughy so I couldn't even pick it up. My daughter had a sandwich and fries, fries were great . Chicken sandwich was flavorless. My other daughter had a meatless sandwich with an arugula salad, salad was great " greens and tomatos" the sandwich was on a flavorless bun . My son in law had an ind. Pizza.. he ate it but said it was ok. ... the staff was pretty much " no contact" our waitress didn't really engage. There was only two other tables there when we got ther, a couple smaller tables came and went while we were there. There were a couple 6 tops when we left. .. even with FREE KIDS MEALS our bill was $130 " that would be 4 adults, we all drank water. The kids had chocolate milk and juice. We went once quite a few years back but decided to try it again because we had heard that they had supposedly made a lot of changes to make it a more family friendly place. I can't imagine we'll go back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place looks nice inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was nice and service was ok but not amazing. Make sure you plan accordingly though, granted we went on a Thursday evening they closed at 8 and we didn't see the hours actually posted anywhere. The problem with this place is the incredible cost. Others around us got what looked like complimentary basket of bread, we did not although I believe we later found out why. We got a wood fired garlic bread which while good was pretty basic. It appeared to be made from pizza dough with some garlic on top, if there was ever much butter it was long gone. It was served with a tomato sauce which was really the highlight. The four pieces we got cost us $11. Next our entree. We had hoped that since they had supposedly made changes to make it more family friendly the prices and such would have gotten better. Sadly the cheapest most basic pasta dish I saw was $16 and just adding chicken pushed it up to if not over $20. Since we weren't looking to spend $40-50 on entrees alone we decided to get something a bit nicer and share it. We went with the lobster ravioli. Do not mistake me here they were great and again the sauce was a highlight however we literally got three ravioli that were maybe a half inch in height and maybe 3/4 to 1 inch in length. These three ravioli set us back $25. Now the bread mystery... Since the sauce was good and we had seen others have what appeared like complimentary bread we asked for the same. What she came back with was four little crostini as she let us know they were out of bread. Granted it wasn't much but they ended up charging us $1 or so for the crostini because they were out of bread. By the time you added everything together and tossed in a tip we were at $50 for four pieces of thin wood fired garlic bread, 3 ravioli, 4 little pieces of crostini they charged us for in place of bread they ran out of and two Coke Zeros. Needless to say the quantity and cost aren't very family friendly and I can't see us going back anytime soon. read more

Awesome dining experience at Oakfire! Marisa our server was attentive and provided great service! The ambiance is great. The restaurant interior is spacious and the floor plan is very roomy. It's a big space that can accommodate lots of people but the way it is set up makes it an enjoyable dining experience. There is also a lovely patio for outdoor dining. We started with the wood-fired bread that is Neapolitan Pizza Dough fired to order, with Garlic Oil, Rosemary, Pecorino Romano w Marinara, we added mozzarella for an up charge. It was great, served piping hot with a side of marinara. It was yummy! My husband ordered the new menu item pizza burger with fries. The pizza burger 1/2lb Angus Beef with Pepperoni, Basil, Bruschetta Tomato, Smoked Mozzarella. You can order it pink or no pink. My husband enjoys a pink center and it was perfectly cooked with a generous portion of seasoned fries which were delicious. I ordered the four cheese ravioli & vodka sauce which is Cheese Stuffed Raviolis, Spicy Vodka Sauce, Whipped Ricotta, Basil, Toasted Panko Bread Crumbs so very good. It does have a bit of a spicy kick which paired with the cool whipped ricotta is tasty. We can't wait to go back and try more menu items. read more

This place is brand new and we tried tonight for girls drinks and dinner. On the inside it is very simple yet clean and very spacious! We started by ordering drinks. I got the hazelnut old fashioned and it was delicious! We ordered 2 appetizers to share. The wood fire bread add cheese and the bruschetta. The bruschetta was delicious. The bread was basically pizza crust served with marina sauce. I probably would never get that again. We shared the Sorrento pizza that has no red sauce! It was delicious. I would like to see a little more prosciutto on it. We would definitely be returning but our waitress wore her mask underneath her nose the entire time and she was the only staff member who was wearing it incorrectly. I understand we are all sick of wearing our masks but if you are serving people please just wear it correctly. read more

Well, my first time eating here. First impression, decor is very nice. Waitress was very personable and nice. She recommended the date night special Consisting of 2 free drinks, appetizer, 12" thin crust pizza, and dessert. Pizza was my only disappointment, thin crust was a bit soggy "is that a word?lol. The Pizza crust had a tortilla flavor to it which I didn't mind. I'm a fan of thin crust that is stiff that you can hold with one hand. This crust required a middle fold and two hands. All in all it was not a bad experience. The place was not very busy but it still took awhile for our pizza. Price was as expected . Would I return? Maybe for appetizers and a drink. read more

Its beautiful, sophisticated and clean. That patio with the bar was everything. Would love to come and drink there and stuff myself with pizza. We went in around two and it seemed like it was dead there. Than again it was after lunch and before dinner so I shouldn't be surprised. We ordered the burrata, fried ravioli, verdure pizza and a veggie sandwich. I can't even find the words to explain how great everything was. I took my son to Oakfire located in Lake Geneva, WI. The ingredients are fresh and the variety of pizza is awesome. For starters my son and I had Beer Battered Cheese Curds, they were awesome. My son had a Caesar Salad and I the Margherita pizza. The pizza was delicious and the wait wasn't too long. We ended up sitting outside. There are giant windows that open to the outside so the people dining inside can feel like their outside. We will definitely be returning. read more

I visited the other night for Trivia and I have to say, this place is much larger than I expected. Plenty of tables for small or large groups and there is essentially two sides to the building. The dining area to the left of the entrance appeared to be more intimate seating while to the right, the bar area, was more casual with low and high-top tables. This is the side that the trivia night was held on and it worked out well. Food was great in my opinion. A little pricey but not outlandish. I split a Caprese salad and Bosco style pizza with my husband. The pizza didn't have a ton of toppings but it was enough to make it count. I LOVE the crust. It's pillowy and soft, I could have just eaten that dipped in sauce all night. I really enjoy a great soft crust on a pizza. The pizza's themselves are personal sized but still large enough to share if you wanted to. I probably could have eaten an entire one on my own - maybe next time! The service was ok, but there were a lot of people playing that night so I imagine it can be a bit overwhelming for the staff. The only thing I truly did not like was their inability to do separate checks for a larger group. The waitress did say that she could split the payments onto multiple cards, not sure how that works, but it is possible. Just a little confusing compared to what I am used to at most other restaurants. Okay, Something Different, Something Napoletana ... very tasty and really delicious. We decided to try Oakfire in Kenosha for lunch and the eclectic atmosphere and space was inviting and cozy. We have always liked a good Eggs Benedict and the Chicken Eggs Benedict we ordered was fabulous! The chicken , slightly coated was very good topped with the Eggs Benedict which was a perfect matching if done right and they did, it was delectable and the generous Potatoes on the side were amazing also.
